It was a great experience. Although you would probably prefer more viewers, from the viewers perspective a small group of people in the chat is actually better because then the creator has time to communicate with everyone. Unfortunately, the last 5 hours are cut because yt only archives first 12 hours of a stream. So for 10k subs, a 10 hour stream should be sufficient :)
