No till, the paths really need mulching to keep the weeds down. I have used thick layers of newspaper with grass clippings on top. It doesnt matter what you use, there needs to be something there to keep the weeds down. Super envious of your tasty dinner! We have never put peas in with our new potatoes. Its always a new onion, green beans and the first potatoes boiled down with pieces of Polish sausage. Mmmmmmm. Best Grocery Gardeners Rewards Program there is.

I've been picking peas for a few weeks now.. today's crop was about a half gallon.. some of the flat snow peas.. a few little marvels.. a bunch of one called Mr Big, and two more kinds that have escaped my brain for the moment.
I have yet to master picking all of them at the right time.. some looked and felt ok but had teeny tiny peas.. some had gone a little yellow and quite a few that aren't snow peas, I picked that way.. I like those.
I was hoping my pole beans would grow a little faster than they are.. they were supposed to be the afternoon shade for the peas so they get a few extra weeks.
    This week coming, 90s.. sigh

    Hello Danny and Wanda.
Sorry to see onions aren't doing well but those tomatoes are going like wild fire.
Those are some nice cucumbers. Yummy.
Chris did such a good job going through there.
Time to get some sweet potatoes planted and soon.
Those are some nice looking beans. Some good for grilling and eating.
I don't have fire ants here and sounds like they can be a real nasty pain.
Those peas look so good. Your making me hungry lol

Jerusalem artichokes are also called Sunchokes. You harvest and eat the tuber. It tastes much like a raw potato. Wikipedia has a page on them. Quote from them : The Jerusalem artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus), also called sunroot, sunchoke, wild sunflower,[2] topinambur,[2] or earth apple, is a species of sunflower native to central North America.[3][4] It is cultivated widely across the temperate zone for its tuber, which is used as a root vegetable.[5]

Means that i can give them certain areas and they will keep out of my garden. No chemicals and worth a try where you dont care about them to see if this work for you in areas you do care about. Cheers.

Could you help me. I have planted peas they are growing fantastically in a raised bed. They are about 6ft tall but I have no flowers at all. I fertilized with rabbit manure. I did not put any chicken manure on them like last year because I was told it was too much nitrogen and only grew plants not fruit. The bed was very low on dirt so last winter I put about a foot and a half of dirt and rabbit manure. They are nice dark green and tall. I planted them next to my tomatoes would that have anything to do with it? I live in NW Florida zone 8 and planted them in February. Thank you for your help.
Also my carrots are putting on seeds and they are first year as well. I had several different varieties in there so I will save what grows. Thank you for your help

If you had added cardboard and wood chips in your paths you would have not had the weeds. No till still requires suppression of weeds in the paths.

Mulch in the deep south breeds fire ants and termites which destroys your plants.
