- Back at it again with another video on the goated jerk bait, the rapala countdown elite. In my opinion this is one of the best jerkbait for trout, and one of the best lures for trout. This bait seems to do really well on this channel, I enjoy making videos on it and catching fish in the meantime. Hope you guys enjoy!

just subscribed. i love spin fishing for trout.
i have that Rapala countdown elite but have not fished it yet.
Appreciate that! I actually just filmed another video with the countdown today. They’re awesome little baits!
Tighten that drag, son!! Just teasing with ya. Found your video looking for the Countdown Elite and seeing it in action . Good job and nice content!
lol! Bro so many people get tore up over using drag on these videos. 😂 thanks though my man!
Great content man keep it up!
Appreciate the kind words. Will do! 🙌🏼
8 lb fluorocarbon? Tighten the drag!
I’m good bro. Light line/light wire hooks. Cant tell you the amount of bigger fish I’ve lost to straightened out hooks. lol
@@fishkrazed Yea, right. 😂
Gotta try that lure. Ive been using rapala ul minnows although they work great. The bill breaks off very easily. How much do these cost
I think they’re 10-11$ on bass pro shops! I did have a bill break on these too last month, but I’ve used them religiously since January for trout and even smallmouth.
Is this the cde55 size ( 2 -1/4 inches) or the cde75 size (3 inches)?
The smaller 55 size! I chose it due to its sink rate being slower than the bigger one.
@@fishkrazed just for some clarity, it’s the cde55 size, 2-1/4, weight 3/16oz correct??
Yep! That’s the one. The sink rate works better for me on the cde55 in my waters.
@@fishkrazed quick update, just got the lure and skunked at Ralph B. Clarke Regional haha. This does work on lakes too right??
@@rchrdlezama2 for sure. Just look up on rapalas site for clarification about sink rate, I think it’s 1 foot per second. If that’s correct just “countdown” to the depth you wanna fish. 💪🏼 it’s tough right now. I almost got skunked this morning pond fishing. Unsure about your neck of the woods but the weather and water temps have skyrocketed.
Let me show you how to fly fish a bit itd be a ton of fun on water like that
I’m going to be fly fishing this winter for sure! It’s a blast to say the least.
