    Nice session! I use the Mepps Comets but I waste one every half hour. The trees around my patch look well decorated.
    I can blame the tree hookups on me, but hate the ones stuck to some obstacle underneath the water.
    I did buy some cheaper spinner collections from China. It did deliver some result and I feel less guilty wasting some. But I do agree the Mepps comets are the best for trout in small streams.

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  Год назад +1

      Them cheaper spinners are never able to compete with the Mepps, you will get more accurate with your casting man, those small rivers are always difficult with the trees 👌

      It’s funny because a Mepps is the only spinner I would ever use, they spin so good crazy vibrations, especially the Mepps comet size 1 😁 have used others like blue fox and they struggle in fast flowing water , thank you !

    Hi Senan, great videos, i love watching them!! Apart from the lure and clip have you anything else on the line like a swivel, weight or bead or is it just clip and lure?

    • @senanstanleyfishing

      I only use a little swivel when using a spinner; if it’s a wobbler I don’t use a swivel there’s no use for it 🤝 thanks Paul !

    great vid senan, just wondering in very fast flowing water can you fish any lures upstream reliably ? minnows tend to have no action, spinners you need to retrieve to fast, I was thinking maybe dropshotting with a worm or a fly might work ? if you have any info on this i'd love to know, cheers

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  Год назад +1

      Hey bud, so all of my trout fishing on the river is fishing upstream with lures, I look for that fast flowing water always, it’s the easiest place to catch them. Any Mepps comet spinners or wobbler style lures will work, they trout will hit them in super fast water out of instinct, you just need to reel them very fast downstream back towards you. It’s basically what I’m doing in all these videos on the shallow streams.

    • @kodiwtf
      @kodiwtf Год назад

      @@senanstanleyfishing cheers bud ill try that out, I've caught all of mine going against the current with the salmo minnows because they dive deeper , my 1000 size reel struggles to reel in my waters as its extremely fast, cant even wade in it cause you would get swept away lol (especially with the flooding it has turned into rapids)
