Love my Leica Noctivid 8x42, the best top-tier optics are good for most everything from travel, hiking, hunting or bird(wildlife) watching. Also like Zeiss SFL 8x40, a great compromise for a lighter, less expensive option for traveling, or hiking. Optics are one of those things that you have to pay for higher quality, but once you've used them, lesser quality is toy like.
@fleszcisco I wish I was. They were a gift from a relative that I gave a momento from my father after he passed away. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have known their true quality.
I had the Noctivids few years ago. Also the Zeiss victory SF. Nikons and Swarovski. I’m now in the process of saving up for the Nocitvids again as they were the best. Wish I never sold them as the prices have gone up. Next time I get them, I’m keeping them for life.
I have a pair of steiner 10x42 dropped from tree stands many times no damage looked at them $1100 an swarovski at $2800 no difference to my eyes but much better than any $400-$600 pairs
