I am indoors..wishing I were outdoors..decided to make a sandwich and find a video and pretend I was in the forest. I found your video!! PERFECT!! Thank you for sharing your camp and a peaceful lunch break. As usual I truly enjoy spending time in your camp. Also..thank you for reminding me of my little wood stove. It was my first stove. I now have far to many stoves.. I think it's time to bring it out of retirement. Thanks Tom another great vid of you relaxing in the woods! it must take you ages to set up those filming shots. On the question of fatwood, is it pine? and how easy is to obtain? (and recognise) I am currently making a waxed canvas backpack similar to your own. Thanks for the info in a previous vid. It does take a little soursing. but finally have all the items in place. The place that you camp/have coffee is it own land and if not is far from where you live. again, thanks... these videos of yours are very relaxing and wants me to get out the wild more!

Hi Tom, Thanks for the reply. I watch your Fatwood vid, I think you were on a bit of a learning curve there, but good to see really appreciate the link. I'm off out the woods later this week, so i'll be searching for fatwood. (LOL) Although tbh I dont have nuch a prob with lighting a fire. Rucksack is coming along although the second hand sewing machine broke so I am hand sewing...eekk, Hard work. I am also making some leather bags/[ouches from scrap leather pieces. thanks for the info the woods. Only been Denmark once. Must get back, Beautiful country. I just bought this knife great minds think alike :D got his small spoon knife also for my scoups i like to make great stuff! and great video as always!
If you make the handle more crooked for your thumb and better wrist angle you will save the injury to your wrist my grandfather showed me so i remade my handle good having a native family he used these knives as a kid told me that the name comes from the handle and not from the bent blade.

6:09..... yes,......well set and thought out. A man has to have a good smoke every now and then! 15:01.....Yes.....use Chaga and start a fire! How many of you can do that!?? Excellent! His fire is sitting on a virtual bed of combustibles, but he has no problems, because he knows what he is doing. A true mountain man. I wish I could have been there to at least feed him some twigs and maybe sampled some of his tea. This is what being out in the woods is all about.

(and recognise) I am currently making a waxed canvas backpack similar to your own. Thanks for the info in a previous vid. It does take a little soursing. but finally have all the items in place. The place that you camp/have coffee is it own land and if not is far from where you live. again, thanks... these videos of yours are very relaxing and wants me to get out the wild more!

The fat wood that I found was from a pine 👍🏻 and you have to look for it … it doesn’t appear early. I’ve made a video about fat wood … in my series A-Z … under F 👌🏻😊🌲

Hi Tom, Thanks for the reply. I watch your Fatwood vid, I think you were on a bit of a learning curve there, but good to see really appreciate the link. I'm off out the woods later this week, so i'll be searching for fatwood. (LOL) Although tbh I dont have nuch a prob with lighting a fire. Rucksack is coming along although the second hand sewing machine broke so I am hand sewing...eekk, Hard work. I am also making some leather bags/[ouches from scrap leather pieces. thanks for the info the woods. Only been Denmark once. Must get back, Beautiful country. I just bought this knife great minds think alike :D got his small spoon knife also for my scoups i like to make great stuff! and great video as always!
If you make the handle more crooked for your thumb and better wrist angle you will save the injury to your wrist my grandfather showed me so i remade my handle good having a native family he used these knives as a kid told me that the name comes from the handle and not from the bent blade.
