Your take on the libre and libre intense is spot on! On my skin I do feel like libre intense and mon Guerlain smell very similar but agree that mon Guerlain has a more soft elegant quality.
Omg I just started this video and I m laughing so hard😂. I just filmed a video but didn t post it yet with an entire perfume range from a brand and I was kinda doing the " this or that" . When you started the video saying you ll compare similar perfumes, " this or that" , I was just in my head " oh nooo, I hope people will not think I stole the idea from Becky, I love her videos and I don t want anyone to think that" and after I heard my name. I just tried YSL Libre yesterday and omg! it smells absolutely amazing! I agree on the modern twist/masculine edge and i LOVE it tbh 🤤 something about that lavender mixed with the citrus note makes me feel like a sexy boss b 💁🏻♀️🔥
I loved this video! I tried the original Libre when it was released but it wasn’t for me. I blind bought Mon Guerlain and wasn’t wowed by it but like you, as it sat, it became better to me and now I love it. I feel no need to get the flankers of either. I’m not opposed to buying flankers, I just don’t need for every perfume.

Yes! I can definitely add that to my list of videos 💛 I do have quite a few hauls coming in March but that’s only cause I hauled so much for my birthday 🥳 Then I want to do more videos like these.
Yes, I agree. YSL Libre EDP is #1 for me, too. I find the lavender + citrus combo is very clean and fresh smelling for the first hour. Then the jasmine emerges. After that the base notes become more predominant. I get enough vanilla to make the scent warm but not cloying. Cedar and musk create a soft background. Plus it has longevity: 3 sprays over 8 hours ago and I can still smell it on myself. Guess I'm a boss lady. ; )
When I FIRST tried Ysl intense & the edt I loved them at the initial spray, but once they got to the dry down they smelled like a musky mens cologne on my skin that literally had my stomach turning, I had to ask my boyfriend if I was just tripping lol but he agreed that ysl was a no go, so I feel ysl is def a good unisex scent just not for me. So I just ordered Mon Guerlain the edp & edt and I can’t wait to try cause I love the notes & more feminine leaning scents with a touch of edge to them. Great review, thank you!!💕💕🤍
My love is Mon Guerlain EDP. It is a perfect silently glamouros signature scent. I wish, it lastet longer... The EDT is to fresh for me, the Intense one to heavy on the patchouli for me. Thank you for your great videos !!

A huge difference to me is that Libre contains Ambroxan, which a lot of mens' fragrances traditionally do. I wonder if that's why people pick up a "masculine" vibe on this one. To me, they aren't similar at all...
Just found you today and have subscribed. You are spot on with these descriptions. I have Libre and Libre Intense. Love them both. The OG is more fresh and citrus with more projection, but I also love the vanilla on the Intense. Depends on my mood for the day...Fresh (the OG) or Cozy (intense). Both are very strong boss chick type of scent. I also blind bought Mon Guerlain EDP. It is different and beautiful. Like a powdery, faint jammy rosey, delicate take on Libre. Much milder, softer and classy sophisticated. Each has its time, place and mood for me. Great review!

I feel that Mon Guerlain EDT and EDP are different enough to warrant having both. I own them plus the Intense, Bloom of Rose EDP and Florale EDP! My favourite is the EDT, it is such an easy reach all year round and I love wearing it to bed. I'm so sad it has been discontinued...whyyyyyy?! I find Libre and Libre intense are so similar - they both smell like they should be a man's cologne to my nose. They remind me of Lynx Africa on my skin. I much prefer more feminine fragrances. The Mon Guerlain range is beautiful 💜
I want to try other Mon Guerlains from the range. I was looking into Sensuelle, Bloom of Rose and the Rose Edt. I really have grown to love the two that I have have! And yes Libre has a masculine edge to it so that one is not going to be for the person who loves feminine scents. My hubby definitely prefers the Mon Guerlains 😂 Thanks for sharing! 💛
@@rebecacollazo I get so many compliments when I wear the EDT and I don't normally get compliments on my perfume! The bloom of rose is my least favourite of the line as I feel it doesn't have the Mon Guerlain DNA and I love that. It reminds me of the the newest Miss Dior reformulation, rather basic and generic, but I may have to give it another go especially in the cooler months. I smelled Mon Guerlain and tought it a nice scent. I smelled Mon aguerlain Bloom of Rose and think that it is a gorgeous perfume. I bought Libre and when smelled it, i fell in love. That lavender in there is beautiful. I can feel the masculine vibe that it gives. But it doesn't bother me. I like the edginess of this perfume. But I also find it very elegant. I hope to smell the intense version one day. Your review of all 4 is very on point. I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you!

I was almost out of my YSL Libre when the intense version dropped so I replaced it with an intense. I love the intense version best if I compare it to the original BUUUUUT 👉🏽When the Sephora Rogue sale came I purchased a 5oz bottle of Libre because I love mixing it with other scents. It’s amazing under Armani Si for Spring and will be layering it under some of my Tom Fords for cold months. So if someone doesn’t have a big collection I say go “Libre intense” as it’s more complex BUT, if they don’t I think OG is best to then layer. As far as Mon Guerlain👉🏽 EDP is the only way imo 💓🥂

It’s so easy to spend a lot when fragrances and skincare are involved ( in my case) I noticed Nordstrom and Macy’s had fragrance on sale too (because I need Lancôme Jasmins Marzipane and Sephora doesn’t have it) 👉🏽 but I dragged my feet and woke up yesterday with them back regular price, so I guess they were just competing with Sephora sale. I definitely love the mon guerlain edt much better. It lasts hours longer than the edp on me. And it is very different in the opening. Only in the dry down do I see the similarities. But I say get both! Side note: I have been buying up the edt ever since I heard it was discontinued 😪
Lol, the less objective side of me definitely says get them all 😂 It’s probably wise to pick up back ups since it’s so affordable right now. I’m sure once they’re no more they will go for much more! 🤑
You are right. Libre does not smell like Mon guerlain. Although I do feel a similarity with Libre and alien. Just a similarity, they don’t smell the same
I have purchased over 15 fragrances this past year trying to find the perfect scent to wear on my wedding day in 5 weeks. I have libre and mon guerlain edp. I really like the libre but the guerlain is so sophisticated and classy. I have finally narrowed it down to two ….. the guerlain or miss dior Edp.
This is so on point. I have been thinking about getting YSL libre (and Idole) blindly because I feel the need to have new realeases for review purposes, but good thing I found a sample online and Libre does smell a bit masculine. Mon Guerlain on the other hand is very feminine and I love both! I only have the EDT but Ive always loved the EDP. I dont even know why I didnt just get the EDP 🤷♀️ crazy me 😅 Classy - yes and gorgeous as always! 😍
I love Idole! It’s a pretty easy reach for me, nothing ground breaking but I love it for that reason. I’m not sure what online discounters you use but FragranceX and FragranceNet has Mon Guerlain EDP pretty cheap!! Thanks for watching! 🥰

I don’t own any of these but have sampled Mon Guerlain EDP and enjoyed it but I do prefer those edgier scents. I have Mon Guerlain EDT, picked up a 30 ml for a steal when the stores opened back up. It wasn't love at 1st sniff, but I once I wore it a few times, it became a love. Was able to get a 100ml for under $30. This video was very Informative and helpful, especially if a person is starting out purchasing perfumes.

I have both Libre and Libre Intense. I like the lavender note in Libre but love the Intense version as well. I am getting into perfumes with lavender notes and bought Mon Guerlain recently.

I have Libre edp, Intense version Is to much heavy for me. Mon Guerlain I have in edt version and I love it in every seasons, Mon Guerlain EDP is also very nice scent and it is on my Wish list😊
That’s the beauty of perfume! 💞 And why it pulls differently on other people. I don’t know how many times I’ve decluttered a perfume to my mom and my sister and loved it on them but not on me.

I love Mon guerlain Intense . Its a very sexy version of mon guerlain. I also love both of the Libre’s. For me, the intense is sexy and date night like and the original is sexy but all day .i want both 🤣
Libre intense or mon guerlain what you prefer? Which one has more recognition value? And which one can I wear in spring and summer? For me ist really important that a perfume is really longlasting and have a good sillage..

Hi Becky, not fan of the Libre line, I do however, like Mon Guerlain EDP. I get the Licorice/Vanilla and uniqueness. I am more of a Jasmine and dirty Rose kinda girl. 🥰
@@rebecacollazo haha my Dirty Rose.. ones with Pachouli/Cedar/or Vetiver. Miss Dior has Rose/pachouli, Decadence has Rose with Vetiver, and this new one I got Tresor Midnight Rose. It’s amazing!
So some people say the Intense but for me the original is beastmode. There is more citrus and I tend to pull citrus really well in fragrances and more vanillic fragrances tend to disappear faster on me.

Both Mon Guerlin and Intense Mon Guerlin disappear on me, in 45 min, on my skin. Not anosmia, because my man agrees. They are like expensive water. I will just use them as wear to bed fragrances. I love Libre intense, because it lasts and I am a vanilla lover.
Mon Guerlain was not love at first sniff for me, either. It reminds me of something my grandfather wore (like an aftershave with lavender), but the longer I've had it/worn it, the more I love it. I just bought a small bottle of Mon Guerlain Bloom of Roses. It's a less intense lavender and probably more palatable as "feminine." I love YSL Libre. I'm not sure if I need the intense, as I like it in its original format.
I want to try Bloom of Roses! I hear mixed reviews but really loving the Mon Guerlain line. Most people who LOVE the original don’t see the need for the Intense so I would say it’s a safe skip! 😉
I just got the MG EDT but it smells like baby wipes in the opening and the dry down is too floral old lady to me. It reminds me of very old perfumes back in the day. I got it for $50 for 3.4oz on Walmart from Perfume Depot. Maybe it is a fake. Idk. The bottle and packaging all checked out as legit, but who knows what's actually in the bottle or if it went bad since it is discontinued. I never tried to smell the MG EDP though, but I'm hoping to get it when I find a good price.
I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you 💔 Maybe it’s the lavender that’s coming off like baby wipes? 🤔 The EDP might be more accessible to test out in stores just in case 😉 that way you know and if a sale comes around at least you know what it smells like.

So weird....but I had bought the edt version of MG and was not very happy about it because I had thought I was buying the EDP...but I don’t remember what I did with that bottle. Not sure if I misplaced it or if I returned it lol but not sure if it is me or not but the EDP is hard to find....
The EDP is easy for me to find but not the EDT. I think they are discontinuing the EDT if they haven’t already. Yes, they’re very similar with slight variations. You definitely don’t need both but you know me 😂
I can’t remember off the top of my head if I’ve tried this combo 🤔 but since they have similarities I think they would smell nice layered together. I’ll have to try it out 😉

I always recommend sampling first if you’re not comfortable with blind buying. But if you think you would like a soft vanilla, lavender scent with a hint of citrus, I would say yes. This is not offensive and very well loved on the fragrance community.

A huge difference to me is that Libre contains Ambroxan, which a lot of mens' fragrances traditionally do. I wonder if that's why people pick up a "masculine" vibe on this one. To me, they aren't similar at all...

Just found you today and have subscribed. You are spot on with these descriptions. I have Libre and Libre Intense. Love them both. The OG is more fresh and citrus with more projection, but I also love the vanilla on the Intense. Depends on my mood for the day...Fresh (the OG) or Cozy (intense). Both are very strong boss chick type of scent.
I also blind bought Mon Guerlain EDP. It is different and beautiful. Like a powdery, faint jammy rosey, delicate take on Libre. Much milder, softer and classy sophisticated.
Each has its time, place and mood for me. Great review!

I feel that Mon Guerlain EDT and EDP are different enough to warrant having both. I own them plus the Intense, Bloom of Rose EDP and Florale EDP! My favourite is the EDT, it is such an easy reach all year round and I love wearing it to bed. I'm so sad it has been discontinued...whyyyyyy?! I find Libre and Libre intense are so similar - they both smell like they should be a man's cologne to my nose. They remind me of Lynx Africa on my skin. I much prefer more feminine fragrances. The Mon Guerlain range is beautiful 💜
I want to try other Mon Guerlains from the range. I was looking into Sensuelle, Bloom of Rose and the Rose Edt. I really have grown to love the two that I have have! And yes Libre has a masculine edge to it so that one is not going to be for the person who loves feminine scents. My hubby definitely prefers the Mon Guerlains 😂 Thanks for sharing! 💛
@@rebecacollazo I get so many compliments when I wear the EDT and I don't normally get compliments on my perfume! The bloom of rose is my least favourite of the line as I feel it doesn't have the Mon Guerlain DNA and I love that. It reminds me of the the newest Miss Dior reformulation, rather basic and generic, but I may have to give it another go especially in the cooler months. I smelled Mon Guerlain and tought it a nice scent. I smelled Mon aguerlain Bloom of Rose and think that it is a gorgeous perfume. I bought Libre and when smelled it, i fell in love. That lavender in there is beautiful. I can feel the masculine vibe that it gives. But it doesn't bother me. I like the edginess of this perfume. But I also find it very elegant. I hope to smell the intense version one day. Your review of all 4 is very on point. I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you!

I was almost out of my YSL Libre when the intense version dropped so I replaced it with an intense. I love the intense version best if I compare it to the original BUUUUUT 👉🏽When the Sephora Rogue sale came I purchased a 5oz bottle of Libre because I love mixing it with other scents. It’s amazing under Armani Si for Spring and will be layering it under some of my Tom Fords for cold months. So if someone doesn’t have a big collection I say go “Libre intense” as it’s more complex BUT, if they don’t I think OG is best to then layer. As far as Mon Guerlain👉🏽 EDP is the only way imo 💓🥂

I definitely love the mon guerlain edt much better. It lasts hours longer than the edp on me. And it is very different in the opening. Only in the dry down do I see the similarities. But I say get both! Side note: I have been buying up the edt ever since I heard it was discontinued 😪
Lol, the less objective side of me definitely says get them all 😂 It’s probably wise to pick up back ups since it’s so affordable right now. I’m sure once they’re no more they will go for much more! 🤑

I have purchased over 15 fragrances this past year trying to find the perfect scent to wear on my wedding day in 5 weeks. I have libre and mon guerlain edp. I really like the libre but the guerlain is so sophisticated and classy. I have finally narrowed it down to two ….. the guerlain or miss dior Edp.
Both you top two are beautiful wedding day options 🤩 I do find Miss Dior to leave a bit more of a sillage tho. If that’s important to you!
This is so on point. I have been thinking about getting YSL libre (and Idole) blindly because I feel the need to have new realeases for review purposes, but good thing I found a sample online and Libre does smell a bit masculine. Mon Guerlain on the other hand is very feminine and I love both! I only have the EDT but Ive always loved the EDP. I dont even know why I didnt just get the EDP 🤷♀️ crazy me 😅

I have Mon Guerlain EDT, picked up a 30 ml for a steal when the stores opened back up. It wasn't love at 1st sniff, but I once I wore it a few times, it became a love. Was able to get a 100ml for under $30. This video was very Informative and helpful, especially if a person is starting out purchasing perfumes.

So some people say the Intense but for me the original is beastmode. There is more citrus and I tend to pull citrus really well in fragrances and more vanillic fragrances tend to disappear faster on me.

Both Mon Guerlin and Intense Mon Guerlin disappear on me, in 45 min, on my skin.
Not anosmia, because my man agrees. They are like expensive water. I will just use them as wear to bed fragrances.
I love Libre intense, because it lasts and I am a vanilla lover.
Mon Guerlain was not love at first sniff for me, either. It reminds me of something my grandfather wore (like an aftershave with lavender), but the longer I've had it/worn it, the more I love it. I just bought a small bottle of Mon Guerlain Bloom of Roses. It's a less intense lavender and probably more palatable as "feminine." I love YSL Libre. I'm not sure if I need the intense, as I like it in its original format.
I want to try Bloom of Roses! I hear mixed reviews but really loving the Mon Guerlain line. Most people who LOVE the original don’t see the need for the Intense so I would say it’s a safe skip! 😉
I just got the MG EDT but it smells like baby wipes in the opening and the dry down is too floral old lady to me. It reminds me of very old perfumes back in the day. I got it for $50 for 3.4oz on Walmart from Perfume Depot. Maybe it is a fake. Idk. The bottle and packaging all checked out as legit, but who knows what's actually in the bottle or if it went bad since it is discontinued. I never tried to smell the MG EDP though, but I'm hoping to get it when I find a good price.
I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you 💔 Maybe it’s the lavender that’s coming off like baby wipes? 🤔 The EDP might be more accessible to test out in stores just in case 😉 that way you know and if a sale comes around at least you know what it smells like.

So weird....but I had bought the edt version of MG and was not very happy about it because I had thought I was buying the EDP...but I don’t remember what I did with that bottle. Not sure if I misplaced it or if I returned it lol but not sure if it is me or not but the EDP is hard to find....
The EDP is easy for me to find but not the EDT. I think they are discontinuing the EDT if they haven’t already. Yes, they’re very similar with slight variations. You definitely don’t need both but you know me 😂

I always recommend sampling first if you’re not comfortable with blind buying. But if you think you would like a soft vanilla, lavender scent with a hint of citrus, I would say yes. This is not offensive and very well loved on the fragrance community.
