Ive made hot chocolate before and it was ok .. will try this recipe and will give it a try!! And thank you for the video!!! 😊
Been making mine since the 80's!👍🏼😁
That’s terrific! 😁 is there any tips or things you like?
@@OutdoorsandCountryLiving I love your addition of Chocolate Chips, I like to use the De Vincci Flavorings in mine.👍🏼
This is awesome. Never will buy store bought again. Thank you.
Haven't seen you on here. Hope all is well.
We’re doing well, current life circumstances make it a challenge to create videos. We plan to get back at it once things settle down.
Looks absolutely delicious!!!!!!
Thank you for watching and the comment! 🙂
Am making my own now thank you easy
Yes, it’s definitely easy and delicious! Thanks for letting us know that you are making some. Blessings to you and your family.
I'll put stevia in my dairy free cocoa mix.
Thank you…and just wondering, Is your channel monetized? I watch all ads for at least 30 seconds in order to follow their rules for channel compensation. I certainly wouldn’t if RUclips did not compensate you.
Some of it is but don’t let that impact your time. We always appreciate your comments and time. Thank you!
Can you do without the cane sugar but use the cocoa powder with almond milk instead to mixing
Alter the recipe however you feel is best. If the almond milk is unsweetened, the taste may be undesirable without some sugar.
Can I use hot water instead of the milk?
Yes, as stated in the video. The dairy free mix will taste best with a non-dairy milk for creaminess, but can be used with plain water if desired.
@@OutdoorsandCountryLiving oops sorry 😞, thank you again
Ok so you just take the mix and add water or milk? Sorry to ask a dumb question.
Yes! If using the dairy free mix, add your favorite hot dairy-free milk. If using the regular mix, add hot water, hot milk, or hot black coffee (for a mocha). Merry Christmas!
How can you say the one on the left is dary free when you put milk in it.?
There’s no powdered milk in the dry mix nor added to the cup. Almond milk was used to make the hot chocolate in the dairy free version. Watch closer.
Too sweet. I’ll cut back on sugar next time.
That is the nice part about making your own, it can be tailored to your taste.
THANK YOU, SUBERB ON ALL YOUR PRESENTATIONS, ESPECIALLY THIS ONE. MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL.🎍🎄🎆
Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and yours. We hope your new year is safe with much health! Blessings.
Please, skip the cane suger. There are plenty of sugar substitutes that are a better choice for a healthier diet. Enjoy.
Thank you for your opinion.
All of which change the flavor. It's a chocolate drink, enjoy it.
A milk frother would make it so easy as it whisks and heats the milk!
Thank you for the info! But quick question……why do you have the cacao powder in the shot? Can you use that inSTEAD of the unsweetened cocoa powder? I use it to make vegan choc dip for fruit all the time but it would be great if I could use it here too!
It’s the same thing as unsweetened cocoa powder. On the label of unsweetened cocoa powder it usually states “100% cacao” in a smaller font.
@@OutdoorsandCountryLiving perfect -thanks so much!
@@bydempsey you’re welcome!
i made the regular one. before you all jump me ,keep in mind taste is subjective. it was good, but i had to use way more than 2 T of it to get rid of the thin, watery taste of the hot cocoa. thanks for sharing.
Everyone has their preferred richness. We appreciate your feedback. Praying that you receive many blessings.
😊
This looks amazing! I can’t wait to make it. Thank you!
You are welcome. Let us know how you like it. Blessings!
How long do these last in the jar?
We still have more than half a jar left from last year and it’s unchanged from the day it was made. As long as it’s kept in an airtight container, it will last a very long time.
Love it. Thanks
You are welcome. Thank you for watching. Have a blessed week.
Could you please tell me the brand and size of the countertop burner you use for the 930 canner. I am having trouble finding a good size.
Our portable burner is made by Cadco/Broil King, a solid cast burner in stainless housing. Model PCR-1S, 1500 watts, commercial cooking appliance. Purchased from Amazon.
Looks great. I'm going to substitute stevia for the poison though.
