@slowbro1337 i have a herniated disc on my l5-s1 and its killing me. Just when i feel better, start working out slow, suddenly it hurts badly again. Most of the time, i couldnt even walk for atleast 3-7days before i can limp my way to shower. My life have been in a repeat cycle. 3months of feeling good and then 3 months of living hell. Any tips on minimise the reoccurring pain?

@@eddiwolf1541 Time and tenacity. I went through similar cycles of being able to briefly regain mobility and then lose it for extended periods. It was important to try to keep my core from atrophying when I could. I'd do very light workouts when I was able. Each year, the improvements were slow, but they were noticeable. I took up hiking as a hobby, which helped when I was able to start doing it. Now I run about 1-2 miles a day. I'm doing a lot better physically and getting into powerlifting again. I have regained almost all of my mobility and have even more tenacity and stamina than when I was younger. It's not an easy recovery, however, and I'm not going to sugarcoat it. Spinal injuries take time to heal. You will need patience and endurance. I hope you recover swiftly and find the strength you need. Perhaps your bodys healing will not take as long as mine, and I'd like that for you.
P.S. I did vape and smoke THC to mitigate the worst pain when I had it. It didn't rly ease it so much as it made me not focus on it as hard. It's not for everyone for sure, but for me, it did help me tremendously, especially when trying to sleep. I'm not ashamed to say it was useful. Nowadays, hemp derived THCA is legal and available in most every state. It has almost an identical effect, just a little less strength for me anyway. I use that instead from time to time when it occasionally flares up at night, and im laying prone, trying to sleep. Good luck to you and all the best. Be sure to do physical therapy when you are able to, keep it light, follow doctor orders, and be patient. It's a process, not a race. If it mentally gets tough, reach out to a therapist they can help a lot. Godspeed.

Was the victim of a horrifying car crash (flaming 3 car pileup.) 6 months of PT at my gym and I had full range of motion again, when I was told I wouldn't. 10 years later I walk, I run, I hike, and the nerve pain is minimal and controllable with mild medication. Ronnie WILL succeed! He has the mentality!
I have seen people go from crippling pain, to feeling like they're in their 20's again using stem cells. I encourage everyone with treatment resistance injuries to try this!

    Big Ron!
I've had two major back injuries:
I blew out three discs in my lower back 16 yrs ago and the doctors said i wouldn't walk without surgery. I proved them wrong
The second was a broken T3 which i was told that i wouldn't dance again without surgery. Again i proved them wrong.
I still had pain and recurrent spasms with pain and immobility but i was able to function.
I went carnivore 6 years ago and everything improved.
I'm 50 6'3 265lbs and's am healthier than my young doctors. My bp is 110/75 and my bloodwork is optimal!
I have no meds, no pain and no problems!
I've been a long time fan and i hope this message reaches you and any others struggling with nerve pain!

Wow, that's amazing! I had a parachuting accident on active duty in January 99, resulting in herniating L4-S2 and a broken Coxy. Throughout the remainder of my career, my back worsened in other areas resulting in C5-6 and T7-9 also herniating. I have not had any surgeries on my back to date. I was referred to a pain management doctor twelve years ago to help manage my pain and I've been seeing one once a month since.
About four years ago an extremely painful lower back spasm woke me up in the middle of the night. I wasn't able to get in to see my pain doctor until two days later for a steroid shot. Once I did receive a shot it gave me some relief with rest over the next few days, but I also developed drop foot syndrome in my right foot. Hate all of this, but I have to live with it. Thanks for sharing your story. Respectfully, James.

    • @ElPapacitoGrande
      @ElPapacitoGrande 2 месяца назад +1

@@jamesdean3474 hey my friend! Your story gave me goose bumps!
I understand the type of pain you are dealing with. I herniated my L3 and ruptured my L4, L5 in a 2005 car accident. My doctors said i wouldn't walk again without surgery. I am hard headed and strong willed. I didn't move much for a long couple of years. I almost broke down and had the procedure but i didn't feel it was for me because the people i spoke with in the orthopedist office who'd had 3,4,5 surgeries were in no better shape than i was.
As i regained some function, i had major stenosis and drop foot. I used to have bruises on my thigh from squeezing the muscles in my leg that were in constant spasm and on fire. It got to the point that i would fantasize about hanging my leg out of the car window and something just taking it off. I was being driven around and it wasn't a great time. Slowly i regained movement and dragged my foot with a slight limp. My friends said it was my pimp walk but to me it was a gimp walk!
I changed my diet and lifestyle and bought a vitamix: fruit smoothies and Whole Foods helped but i was also young, in good health and naturally strong which i believe helped just as much! The pain and spasms lingered but i improved and lost my limp. 8yrs later i started getting sharp pain between my shoulder like i pulled a lat muscle. I finally went to the doctor and an MRI showed a large fracture in my T3.
At that point i had gained some weight and was running around at 330lbs. I was, on paper, healthy, med and disease free but looking back was dealing with depression and lingering pain from the first injury. I needed to find a fix that allowed me to lose weight, maintain muscle and health all from the couch.
I also developed gut problems from all of the pills i was eating!
I first went keto/ intermittent fasting and liked it!
My pain slowly diminished and movement became easier for me.
I found though that i lost too much weight and also muscle mass on this style of eating and i needed a fix. I was a pencil neck at 240lbs
I hit the books and watched RUclips videos constantly with all of my couch time. I heard dr baker on Rogan and found dr Paul saladino on Instagram and started exchanging messages with him.
Shortly after, i was eating only meat and animal fats!
I continued to study everything i could find on diet and health; especially the books from before medications ruled the world. It was food and lifestyle based medicine back then and they all incorporated meat, fat and nature as the go to cure!
My wife has supported my journey by doing the same diet and becoming a researcher herself.
Since then we have seen immeasurable improvements in our health and over the last 6 years seem to be aging in reverse.
She's always been in good shape but now she is vibrant!
I have always been a giant and wrestled in college at around 288-295lbs but have always been told by coaches to eat everything.
Since changing my diet and lifestyle I'm a lean and mean 265-270 with more strength and mobility than i remember.
My pain is gone and my movement unhindered. I still have a hand sized numb spot on my thigh that used to burn and hurt constantly, but it is seemingly getting smaller and it no longer bothers me like it did for years.
I am very into raw animal fats and eat my red meat raw to rare mostly. We eat organs but not religiously. Avoid processed foods and seed oils like the plague!
I've incorporated some honey and local seasonal fruit into the mix but meat/fat is still my primary source of nutrition!
I try and eat 265-280g of animal protein and its equal in animal fat daily. I incorporate a few long fasts monthly to repair and rest my organs!
The human body is a beautiful machine: we just need to give it the proper nutrition to do its thing!
My old doctor had called me after hours during my recovery and questioned me about my methods.
My current doctor (new insurance) is a younger guy who is just as fascinated with my bloodwork! We talk regularly after hours and he is interested in trying it out.
He has apprehension due to his whole career being based on current meds and practices but he is warming up to my way based on my effortless results!
My wife's dentist told her that she has the healthiest mouth she has seen in her many years of dentistry. We don't use toothpaste but only brush with water and a sonicare and our breath doesn't stink nor do we get cavities.
There are many doctors now who promote an all meat diet for all that ails modern man!
Dr Saladino, Dr Baker, Dr Cywes, Dr Chaffee, Dr Nadir Ali, Dr Kiltz, Georgia Ede, Dr Ken Berry, Dr Pran Yoganathan, Dr kevin stock, dr lisa weidman, etc... too many to list or remember them on demand but all well educated and helpful to those looking to regain health!
All of these doctors have books and/or are on RUclips.
Another great information resource is pottenger's human on RUclips! Very smart guy with solid research and entertaining helpful information!
Check out Weston price' book, nutrition and physical degeneration and dr salisbury book The Relation of Alimentation and Disease. (The Salisbury steak cooked to specifications was a health remedy one hundred years ago!)
Pottenger's cats is a really good book which shows that any species not eating an ancestrally appropriate diet suffers similar conditions with modern man!
My book case is now full of diet and nutritional research books. There are so many good ones to assist someone in transition or just wanting to learn older methods of health care!
I wish you health and a pain free life! Seeing and hearing about people with spine and nerve injuries make me emotional because i learned about it the hard way. It was hell but it was life changing in a positive way, as well!
Cholesterol is so important in our bodies! Our cellular membranes, sex hormones and nervous systems are all made with it! Healthy animal fat's are all we ate before processed foods, seed oils and pharmaceuticals became so powerful of an influence on our society!
My way is probably not the only way to thrive, but it is the only way I've found that gives me this much freedom! I am open to change my mind and am constantly looking for supporting and opposing research to tinker around but it seems that this is the way we were designed to eat. I have to follow what was intended by our creator, whether one believes that was an intelligent entity or simply nature doing its thing; we are made for meat and ruminant animals were made for us to eat!
      Good luck in your journey!

It's so awesome to see you still pushing! Man life takes so much from us and sometimes people take it and do nothing with it aside from becoming depressed and broken instead of getting back up and just trying again. You are an inspiration to all of us my friend. Keep taking care of yourself buddy!

Met you at the Arnold Classic about 15 years ago and you have will always be a hero and inspiration to me Ronnie. I have never stopped and will never stop being a fan of yours. I too have had a few spinal injuries and had to have several spinal injections and it has in many ways been you who has given me strength to recover and keep moving forward. Thank you for being you Big Ronnie!
