Lovely vlog again , really nice to see the UK in the summer time it’s at its best. When I was over there October last year I had a walk along the grand union , at Greenford / Alperton and was so surprised to see how many people are now living on the water. As a young lad growing up I can not recall anyone living aboard , mind you they have come a hell of a long way since then . Many thanks .
Hi Jeff, it seems like it's a more popular choice to live aboard these days, especially with the increasing popularity of widebeams. Thank you for the kind words about the vlog.
Lovely vlog, the Pike would be a she as she was rather a large fish for a canal and the females grow a lot larger than the 'Jacks' and probably hanging up near the surface due to lack of oxygen as that part of the canal looked very green and over fertile so keep the boats going up and down to oxygenate the water, (sorry to be boring). Thanks for sharing another great adventure, Stevie
Hi, just started following you. Thank you for the videos. Just starting to learn so apologies for stupid questions, but I know nothing. Does your boat sit deeper in the water than a smaller boat, or a narrow boat, or are they all about the same? I assume it depends on the weight of the boat, but does design affect it? And does this further limit your routes, or is it just width that limits you?
Hi Sally, there's no such thing as a dumb question just dumb answers. Our draft is about two and a quarter feet so not especially deeper than other boats, including the narrow ones. It all comes down to weight distribution and the design of the boat. We are restricted in where we can travel due to the width, but most of the canals need dredging, so depth can be an issue on some canals.
Brilliant guys,thank you.😁👍👏👏👏
You're welcome, David
That was a lovely video thanks 👍
You are welcome, David
Interesting behavior of the swans, like dolphins do with ships at sea? And I'm glad you showed it. Looking forward to more. Not swans, your vids.
Thanks, Roger. The swans are a bit like dolphins in that they like to escort the boat. Glad you liked the video
Lovely stretch of canal you've traveled in this video. Really enjoyed this. Thank you
Thanks, Kevin. It was beautiful. Glad you liked it

Thanks, Danny. Glad you liked it

Thanks, Steve. You know so much about pike! Glad you liked the video
I'd rather have a pike -- we have bull sharks in our canals, although they are coastal. Shudder! Great vlog - thanks very picturesque.
Wow! I'd rather have pike any day of the week. Thanks for the kind words, Kate
THAT WAS ONE BIG PIKE...
It was indeed
