I would have expected trillions of views on this in just 1 hour but wow so much less, can't believe it. Great job dude as always! U use to be less impressed, now I know how on world wide scale champ at blender u really are it's sick dude!!! AWESOME!!! WE LOVE ITL!!!!!!
Probably because it's clickbait, didn't even bother to show a full scene as the thumbnail and title suggested it would be. But it's just some guy showing how he made it, his thoughts and then of course telling people to buy it. People support these flimflams all the time, waste of time. Could easily pay someone same amount of money to create this very scene showing a tidal wave destroying a city over the course of 2 minutes which would garner a whole lot more views....
@@botterminatorually, that’s where you’re wrong. If you read the title, it even says, “How I made a tsunami” and the thumbnail is an image of how the result turned out. And he never *said* he was destroying a city he only adde it to show how big and menacing it was as said in the video. He just wanted to show people how he made his tsunami since there are of course, many other ways to make these types of things. To be honest everything your saying is just fake news and he just wanted to *again* show how he made something and not like a tutorial, dumbass. (And also it showed the full animation at the end after it goes black.)

Ooo that sounds awesome! Great video, by the way 😄 very inspiring! I usually try to stay away from simulations, because they’re so hard to control. Instead, I fake water with animated textures; don’t tell anyone 😅 But now I kind of want to try simulations again. Thank you for all of the effort you put into these videos 👍
This video got me really REALLY excited. For a while now, I've been wondering how long it'd take until someone creates a Blender counterpart to a Deep Impact style city obliteration. The then used CGI techniques were considered cinematic milestones at their time; still - maybe with some clever Ian Hubert trickery, stuff like that might not be too hard to pull off even with free software like Blender nowadays...
I think some streaks of foam in the body of the wave to imply thr motion to the top would have helped alot but you did an amazing job, wa better than I could have
I'm just soooo impressed by ur skills I always loved animation but i just couldn't undrestand it well, i even tried modelling but it just wouldn't work...
What up my dude, been a minute since I've seen you pop up on my feed, you uploaded this on my baby bro's bday, hmmm, maybe I'll send a Tsunami all the way to AU for his Bday :D thanks again for another video brotha!
I don't want a perfect donut... But if I want to start Blender how should we begin..??... Hi I'm max cg artist... And i want to switch from Maya to Blender... But as Maya do most of job it's really difficult to switch Blender... But Blender have lots of features that really attractive... But the manipulation is really difficult to control... What will be your suggestion??
if I remember correctly there is a way to set the UI and hot keys to that of Maya somewhere in preferences. That might help, but just know that every youtube channel dedicated to blender uses its default set up so you might find doing tutorials even harder. Best thing to do is take a month (if you have the time) and learn blender outright. Blender's interface was horrible, but now since they redid everything a couple years ago i prefer it to all other programs when it comes to work flow. I have spent 2 years in Unreal and still prefer blender and pretty much only use Unreal to render.
ehhh i feel like you can improve the physics of the water and the buildings that show after the wave hits should have way less transparency , none the less good job.
@CG Geek, how did you the part with the vertexweightproximity modifier? Specifically that the particle system takes that info to spread the particles only at that area. I dind't quite catch that and would be very interested :).
Hello sir, will you please make a tutorial on adding different colour buttons/ options for changing colour of object in blender or if we can't do this in blender then what type of software i have to use please answer.
This would make for a good Johnny Cash song... "A Boy Named Tsunami"... :) That's a very impressive wave! Charlie don't surf because of waves like that! Would also be great visuals for the Rush song "Natural Science" off of their 1980 album named Permanent Waves. :) *ed. for sp.
Wow, that laptop looks amazing. Wish i had the $$$'s for something like that, it would blow my current dinosaur of a laptop away that stuggles to even boot, let alone render my projects! :( ..... I think this tutorial would give my laptop a heart attack, lol!
You know I would need that wave to cool down my PC. Geometry nodes are a very scary place to be, although I will have to get used to it, also will probably be looking in to some other 3d applications to solve some problems I have in blender mostly to do with fake lighting, ( think huge glowing energy beams)

7:17 - the best! Love it! Greate Gob man!
Good job on 1mill
do a blender challenge where you try to model something only using the boolean modifier
The first blender tsunami tutorial😎
Looks pretty good I liked the creativty
The beard looks nice!
Bodhi from Point Break would cry tears of joy seeing this one.
1:05 You said the laptop has 2 GB of NVME ssd. I guess you meant 2 TB.
Good catch! Indeed its 2 TB :)
@@CGGeek It happens, thanks for the great video 🙂
2 GB would be sad indeed.
Almost at 1 million 0_0
Youre videos are the best
everything looks really good
I would just say the mist at the top looked a little weird but besides that, the wave and light looked amazing
Congrats on one mil 👍
Nice to see you back sir, daily I am checking your channel first, for latest video, thanks for it, keep it up.
OMG!!!! Nice simulation! Cool video!
1:05 TB*......anyways....amazing artwork.
Moses to CG Geek: "We have to divide the sea. Can you do that?"
smooth shout outs, NICE!!! 🙂
Glad you're back bro!!! keep the tuts UP!
Now I can imagine tiktokers getting ideas for their next challenge by standing in front of an actual tsunami and seeing if they will survive.
While they eat Tide pods... hopefully.
lol
This tsunami needs Spiderman swinging in to rescue Bob Ross.
this ^
SO CLOSE TO 1 MILLION SUBS!!!
It's been a long time for one of tutorials to come
nice!
Les go Finally he came back when needed the most! Almost near 1 M subs! keep it up
Corridor Crew is hiring! You should reach out to them!!
Looks like he hasn't uploaded in a long time, because he's studying about geometry nodes... Right? 👍👍👍
The scale of the wave is awesome! 😍
oh good to know your not dead
jk love your vids
HOW DO YOU ONLY HAVE 92,000 VEIWS I WOULD EXPECT AT LEST 1 MILLION VEIWS but it better than I can do😂
Wave at 6:43 but honestly he's so entertaining and a good teacher, so I recommend watching the whole video too.
Love from India 🇮🇳
I was literally waiting for this tutorial thank you so much man
"How's he do it?"
First he splishes, then the splashes 🤷♂️.
very nice
1:40 i thaught i was the only one who hasn't learned geo nodes yet lol
5k away from 1mil ♥️
You rock man
Nice tutorials sir ….always good 👍
I like tsunamis.
This is awesome. I love your stuff man!
I'm just soooo impressed by ur skills

this video was good
I don't use Geometry Nodes there, I don't know how they work. But I can see that you can do wonders with them.
Ahhhhh yes!!! this is sick! i have been waiting for this tut my whole life!! Thanks so much!!
Nice video as always!
Cool!
The nodes scare me
you should do a full on end of the world animation, with all the disasters
He did do a video of blowing up The Earth.
sick bro
awesome
Nature be like: bruh...
Do you know I actually need such thing for my project based on "2004" Tsunami short film!
If CG Geek is in kindergarten of Geometry Nodes..... Then I don't think I've been born yet😂
Great video
Thiss laptop has a whooolllee 2GB of storage 😂 love your videoes
Awesome, I subscribed to you on Patron but the blend file is not available :(
Coming sooo :) and thanks so mucch!
Question @CG Geek: was the Ocean Simulation in Blender Modifier not good enough? Love your work and spirit.
Ocean sim is great for smaller waves, but I needed much more control and customization to achieve a wave of this scale. So Geo nodes it was!

Great vid bro! but what about the "Creator 15 A11UE-491" is it also reliable on CGI and VFX?
@hjf4a2 Yup thank you for the advice mate!
@hjf4a2 then tell us what to use
New video - New PC/Laptop
That was a very easy thing to do. Make yourself in CGI doing skydiving then I’ll know how big expert you’re.
lol im the real cgi hero here.
can we get Stevey Geek to 1 M??
I was also exactly having the sa expressions LMFAO

Can u plz upload the full tutorial kindly
Chicxulub respectfully disagrees that that's the largest.
faster than speed of light
I challenge you to make this look movie ready,
This video is really reliable, but I don't understand how to do it. Which blender do you use? try to show and give me blender 2.79.
it should work the same in the newer versions, even in 4.0.
