This motorcycle is on my short list for next year. Your videos really do help explain a lot about it for a owner’s perspective that other RUclips videos haven’t.
The button for the suspension you showed is not available on the s1000rr and m1000r models. There is a TCS adjustment button on these models. As far as I can see, we can only make manual suspension adjustments electronically on these models. However, on paper, this is called semi-active suspension. So how can we set these models to "auto" or "dynamic" or "road" like you did?
Great introduction to the riding and suspension modes...looking forward to your views on all the aspects of the Dynamic Pro and standard riding settings..
Great video. I wish they had a 3rd mode for suspension. Dynamic is a little harsh on bumpy Nm roads and road is Cadillac soft. I’m on a 23 and love it.
Really appreciate the support. The weather has been really nice this fall. I am curious to see how the bike handles properly cold weather...it is just around the corner.
I am still working through some of the different functions but as I mentioned it is an easy entry point and you can work from there. Lots of tech seems to be all the rage on new bikes.
Man, my bike doesn't have any of that, it just has the "figure it out and adjust suspension with a wrench if you feel like it" setting lmao, and now it's all I want (although the BMWs options are pretty cool)
I see advantages to both tech and no/low tech. I am not overly handy but all the tech can cause some issues when you are trying to do some installs. That said, I love how easy it is to adjust settings and make changes on the bike.
I appreciate the support. It is a marvelous machine for sure. The gloves are Alpinestars GP X. They are a good mix of protection and airflow. Almost time to put them away for the year soon.
Loving your videos mate...love the detail you go into....quick question for you,can you change the shift pattern on th 2020 xr and have first gear up and the rest down?
I am not 100% certain about GP shift pattern on the bike. It can be done on bikes with shift assist up and down but that does add a big hurdle particularly with how everything is set up on this bike. The short answer is no unless you are highly mechanically inclined and going to make some changes. I am sure someone could figure it out, but it isn't and won't be an easy mod as it is on some bikes.
Thank you very much for the video! If I may make a request, I'd love to see a video showing how the TFT navigation and Media functions work. Sadly the internet still seems to be rather void of those two. Would LOVE to see the two actually in action. I tend to use RUclips Music a lot and before spending $25,000 on a bike, it'd be great to know how the default systems work. Thanks for the excellent content!. Throwing you a sub and like for this video. Keep up the great work.
I greatly appreciate your support. Full disclosure, I don't use those options regularly. I have tested them out and they do a fair job. I will work on something in the coming weeks and get a video put together on the topic. It will be a real honest view as I will have to make sure I can do the functions justice as I don't use them much for my riding. I can say the app is super easy to use and there is so much tech there within the app it could take awhile to really use it all well. I will work on the tft navigation and synch with the helmet and let you know how it goes in a video on the next month.
@@kristenmoon9964 Played around with it this evening. Got it all synched without too many hiccups. I will get a video together soon. Pretty amazing stuff really.
After watching videos on the S1000XR for 3 years then buying a 23’ with the M package and Brentuning it. The videos don’t really give you the pleasure and satisfaction you will receive riding this motorcycle!
A great video , I do worry about the future of rider skills - the bike is doing all the thinking these days and they are become little more than "twist and Go" scooters with big motors . I guess Im just an old git 😀
Hahaha. Yeah...I think all the electronics are really necessary on these high powered bikes but that is just my opinion. I really do find they allow informed riders that ability to find limits more safely and explore those limits wisely. I appreciate your support!
The "right wrist is my traction control" guys fail to recall that their supersports bikes had 120 hp, whereas liter bikes of today are at 200. The motogp bikes are unrideable without electronics.
Yeah. It's cool to not have this tech if that is your thing on smaller bikes but when you are riding on the street with this much power on tap it is better to have it vs. not having it in my opinion. I also don't agree with the sentiment that it makes for lazy riders or riders who don't understand how to control the bike. I would argue that having the riding aids allows one to better understand and explore limits more safely thereby increasing their feel. I know everyone has their own opinion but just my two cents.

Awesome. I am glad to hear that. I greatly appreciate your support. If you have anything in particular you want covered let me know.

Appreciate the feedback and support. I am looking forward to exploring some more topics around the settings on the bike.
I just bought a used 2020 s1000xr and have about 2000 miles on it. Still trying to figure everything out.
Thank's for the video.
Congrats on the new bike. I am still figuring out stuff months into it but that is part of the fun!

Great video bro, as always. I miss my XR, being in another country now and this is my dose of riding, watching you. 🙏
I appreciate the feedback and viewership.
What a cool bike.... I had no idea how advanced bikes are...you just blew my mind😵👍
The more I learn about how some of the functions work it blows my mind.
That is an amazing motorcycle. Had a few days here that were great for getting out and riding if you were able. Be safe, take care!

Great video... 👍👍 looking forward to more info on the xr 👍
Appreciate the support. I am looking forward to addressing some other areas of the bike going forward.
@@ThrottleBackRubberDown great stuff... keep us posted 👍
Wow, didn't realize there was this much tech in your bike. The ability of it to adjust its preload on its own as you ride alone is pretty interesting.
I am still working through some of the different functions but as I mentioned it is an easy entry point and you can work from there. Lots of tech seems to be all the rage on new bikes.
@@ThrottleBackRubberDown Yes your right about the tech, but that scares me. I'm a guy that likes to be able to keep avehicle past warranty.
thanks for the video, just got my 2020 model, so this is very informative.

@@ThrottleBackRubberDown I hear ya, I love the lower tech personally, less stuff to have to learn to fix or go around lol
Is it really true that when you put the suspension on min, that it lowers the back? Could you show that in video?
Hi. I was just wondering if TSC on setting 1 helps a little or not at all. Because it doesnt say anything, just max performance.. thanks!
When you set the suspension to MIN to get on/off the bike. How much is the reduction? 10mm?
Good sir, is Dynamic ESA standard on all 2020+ ?
that color on is 🔥🔥🔥
I appreciate the positive vibes/feedback.
Excellent! Thank you TBRD.
Thanks for the positive feedback and support. Much appreciated.
best video yet
Love the video. I have exactly the same settings on Dynamic Pro as you do. Love my XR. Thanks
I have to ask, what gloves are you using?
I appreciate the support. It is a marvelous machine for sure. The gloves are Alpinestars GP X. They are a good mix of protection and airflow. Almost time to put them away for the year soon.

Very accurate explanation
Excellent video! With the wheelie support on 1 what angle wheelie do you think it holds you at? Can you flip it with the setting on 1? Thanks.
Would be nice to know

I'm thinking about Brent Tune on my 2021XR. What stage did you get and what difference do you notice after the tune? Is it worth it? Thank you.
One can change suspension settings (rebound etc) in dyn mode?
You can set the damping as part of the Dynamic ESA separate from Dynamic Pro Riding Mode.
