Today I felt a bit emotional not because of being adopted but for the pure fact that my adopted mother is closer to her own daughters. However I do think about my biological mother whom I've never met. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for sharing, as well. I had always wondered if my adoptive parents had biological children if I would have felt that also.

This day has been complicated for me, with a side of sad. Most Mother's Day feel this way, to some extent, as if I'm missing someone. Because I am. I often wonder on this day what my son does for his adoptive mom, and I hope this day for him is happy. I have the added layer of wondering how the families who's children we've helped through foster care are doing. Does this day find them happy and whole? I pray it does.
