  • In this video we take a common auto K series CRV loom and modify it to be suitable with a K24 (or k20) in a conversion. I also swapped this from an early model (02-04) to a late model (05-06) harness to be suitable for use with KTuner.
    Spreadsheet outlining the changes required to go from a 02-04 ECU loom to a 05/06 loom (green lines highlighted cells are the same and the rest needs to be swapped). I recommend printing this off and ticking them off as you swap the wires over. It can get very confusing unless you do it methodically: docs.google.co...

    What year Crv engine harness did you use? And then did you re-pin it to match the 0506 RSX ? For ktuner ?

      Mine was an 04 from memory but any 02-04 will be like this. Yes I re-pinned at the ECU end to suit the 05/06 RSX (quite a few pins need moving).

    Thanks for sharing. I'm going to start collecting the auto harnesses and give it a try.

      If you can get your hands on a manual one its even easier and if you can match the year to the ecu you will be using you'll be basically plug and play

    Hello mate.Are you using k24 crv harness or k20 harness. Thank you

      K24 bro, we didnt get the k20 ones over here. I reckon the k20 would work too :)

    Great video but i have a question about the reverse switch. Where dose the wiring go from the reverse switch?

    • @teamaxlestands
      @teamaxlestands  2 года назад

      From the reverse switch it goes back through the loom and into the C101 plug. This plug then plugs into your chassis and triggers the reverse lights to come on.

      From memory I'm pretty sure its Pin 1 and 2 of the C101 - the switch simply joins these two together

    So could you use a manual early style crv harness for a k swap with kpro with no modifications??

    • @teamaxlestands
      @teamaxlestands  2 года назад

      Depending on which engine it was going onto. The only ones i can think of are the k24/k20 crank signal plug and the knock sensor. Other than that it would just be the 6 speed reverse lockout. But for the majority yeah there would be minimal/no modifications.

    I'm wondering if this would work on the k24a4 from 03-05 Accord (not drive by wire). Seems like it should. I read the 03-05 accord ecu does not have a CEL output wire because it uses can bus. I guess I should compare an accord ecu pinout to an 05-06 element ecu pinout.

      using the 03-05 accord ecu? I still think you would be ok. The chassis harness handles those outputs. Probably best to compare the A and B plug pinouts of the ecus.

    Nice video mate! I have an 04 manual k20 ecu and loom from the crv i got the manual awd box from. Will dm you about them. I think i know what your next project is 🤔😁

      Sounds good! Pretty sure a manual k20 will require minimal/no mods (maybe just unwrapping and getting the lengths right around the throttle body).

    are the CRV harness the same as TSX K24A2?

    • @teamaxlestands
      @teamaxlestands  2 года назад +1

      There are 2 types of CRV harnesses i've used. This one in the vid is an 02-04 one and is more like the RSX than the TSX because its drive by cable. The one i used in my EG conversion was a 05/06 CRV which is drive by wire and probably similar to a TSX. It required a few plugs/wires to be added to be able to support being used with the conversion.

      @@teamaxlestands how would you make auto TSX harness to manual. would it be the same as this method?

      @@bcbcfilm Hmm i've never had anything to do with an auto TSX (Accord euro here) I imagine if you are comfortable with wiring it would be ok. Removing the auto would be similar to this. Then you may need to remove the drive by wire and add in the IACV, TPS, Speed Sensor, reverse lockout and Reverse light. Might be easier to find a harness which is closer to being right for your setup?
