Williams, most notably known for his portrayal of "Omar Little" in HBO's "Wire," touched the lives of many throughout his storied Hollywood career that was full of iconic performances.

Michael K. Williams was and will always be a TRUE SOLDIER in the black community because of his great talents and commitment to our people. It seems to me that GOD GRACES certain people with great gifts and calls them to his side early. After all, we are only HUMAN. Peace be unto him and his family.

My heart broke when I heard Michael K. Williams passed away. I loved him. Like Denzel and Chadwick, Michael K. was one of the best actors we've been blessed to witness. There was a gritty yet sensitive soul which resided within him. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and fans who are mourning his passing. Mr Williams lived a life full of challenges, but through it all GOD continued to grant him mercy and grace. Mr Williams was a talented man, he poured himself into every roll he played. He gave his last performance on earth and called home to glory where he is a member of that big ensemble on high. Thank you family for sharing him, be at peace and know that there is a brighter day ahead.

I will never forget when he said “A man got to have a code to live by” in “The Wire” . The way said it so much from his heart that he, Mr. Williams, himself, lived by code of honor, integrity and above all fear and respect of God! It is a great lost for us. For him, I have no doubt he is sitting beside God and entertaining Him.

Michael K. Smith was a fantastic actor. First time I saw him perform was his character in the "Wire" Omar. I gravitated towards all his characters (Boardwalk, Bessie and Love Craft Country to name a few and many more). He will be missed by many and also his acting and his presence on the small and big screen will also be missed.. Rest in Peace Michael K Smith RIP.

The majority of the time, someone, somewhere will offer either drugs or alcohol for free, as a friendship gesture. Think...weed you can buy a five dollar bag to get a buzz. It takes a lot of inner strength to tell people to F off, inspite of losing their fake friendship/relationship. Its not definite it was drugs, but a heavy ❤ just the same. I have lived my entire life as a non-drinker or drug user. Believe me, the devil lives among all of us, so stay aware. I've SEEN the repercussions first hand from the age of 10 year old. RIP... 💔 Michael.
I agree 6100GG, I to live a drug/alcohol free lifestyle. Witnessed drug abuse in my home as a young girl, my sister and vowed to one another to never take part indulging into that lifestyle. God covered us, I'm Grateful

RIP Michael K. Williams. The brother was a very very good actor. I believe a whole lot of his roles were able to be preformed with the help of the drugs
I wished to God that Michael K had stayed in therapy. He very clearly, start Tamara's 11:15 clearly explains his inner lack of foundation. That foundation must be re-established in adulthood after a traumatic abusive childhood. He didn't know how to ride out the dry times of acting, ie how to relax without becoming depressed or anxious. His compassion and genius was expressed in his roles, but back to earth time remained filled with pain and confusion. I also wished he had found a companion to simply relax with and share the love.
Most sincere condolences to his family and friends. Anytime I saw his name as a cast member I knew the movie/show would be good. He will truly be missed. May you R.I.H. ❤🕊
