    Ωραιος ο Τακης!
    I own this guitar last 4 years I think, and for the 300something euros I paid it was a steal.
    The original neck pickup is made for blues!
    Sometimes I still want a fender, but I just can't justify the extra cost :/

    To my ears, the Vintage sounds quite a bit better than the Fender player does. I think the observations about the middle position not having 'sparkle' are simply because a person gets used to hearing the sound of their own guitar and they form a preference for that sound, it doesn't necessarily mean that one sound is better than another. I managed to buy a brand new Vintage V62 Telecaster in a lovely transparent blonde finish a few years ago for only £150. It's insane for that price, I have upgraded the wiring and pots to high quality items and to add a fourth switch position (neck and bridge in series, which gives a powerful humbucker type sound and increases the versatility of the guitar). I left the pickups as original as I really like them. BTW, the wiring and CTS pots made a big difference to the sound, gave it a lot more clarity.

      Hey David thanks for subscribing, watching & commenting. £150 is an absolute steal for that guitar. We hope you enjoy it. Cheers 🥃

    I own 2 Vintages V6P 2017 Model with 3 P90's and V100 , couldn't be happier, we as consumers have been programmed or brainwashed that the name brand is the best you walk into a music shop your hit with Fender and Gibson advertisement, you have a Vintage Telecaster that was designed with Trevor Wilkinson who actually worked with Leo Fender in California I'm sure he knew a thing about Telecasters and Guitars, the question is do you go for the brand name spend over £1000 quid or purchase a V52 for just over a 1/3 of the price, it would piss me off after spending £1000 quid then some guitar made in Vietnam sounds just as good or better, the only thing is resale value but as Trevor Wilkinson said if it's great guitar why sell it., and you notice Vintage owners like me are pretty dedicated to the brand and usually have more than one Vintage guitars, I've just started I'm at 2 lol, looking at Vintage v59 or v62

      The other big thing in Wilkinson's favor is that he - or least his company - make very good hardware, and it's usually the hardware that's inferior on guitars in this price range. I can't say for sure without playing one first, but it seems to me a Vintage axe might not require any hardware changes. Half the time of Epis and Squires you're at least putting different tuners on. Pickups are another matter because many of us swap pickups around no matter it it's a $500 guitar or a $5000 guitar. From RUclips demos, the Wilkinson pickups do sound pretty good.

    I have a Vintage v6 and it's just amazing , i had a 90's usa strat and it's easily comparable to that, i love the neck on mine and if it's the same i might be looking for one of these....

    Ooooooft! That vintage bridge pickup sounds epic!! I would buy a hotrail or little 59 for the neck and turn it into a rock monster!

    I very rarely hear someone saying that they like higher action... :) Generally it is 90% opposite. I am also in favour of very low action and to achieve it you need to craft really good guitars...so this is a huge advantage of Vintage guitars to have low action...

    • @TheGuitarBay
      @TheGuitarBay  2 года назад

      Well.. if you have (in Rhett Shull's words) "the touch of a blacksmith", like I do (Takis), then surely the as-low-as-it-gets action is not what you're after :) I make guitars sound like buzz saws when the action is super low. Not to mention real guitarists, not hobbyists like myself, who famously prefer quite high action, like SRV, Yngwie, Roy Buchanan etc.. But of course I agree 100% with your comment on the link between action and build quality.
      Thanks for watching!

      @@TheGuitarBay I wanted to mention that if you get low action but set it properly and still you get a buzz - it is simply your style of aggressive playing. I never ever got a buzz with a very low set up , even for a dynamic rock music. I do not bang on the strings like crazy, for this style I agree you should have higher set up. Again high action is a nightmare of out of the box guitars , electric and acoustic. Acoustic guitars suffer from this huge ! Even great Fender strats out of the box have not been set up and have high action which spoils the first impression.

    Hey! Would like to ask if you find any output differences from using SM57 vs SM58? Enjoyed your videos btw!!

    • @TheGuitarBay
      @TheGuitarBay  2 года назад

      Hey there savero! Takis here, thanks for watching and for the question :)
      Yes, I'd say the 57 has slightly more pronounced mid focus and is also a bit more "deaf" (not as loud/sensitive as the 58)... which kinda makes sense, as it's more often used with amps and snares while the 58 is primarily a vocal mic. I also feel there is tiny bit more high top end, the "presence" frequencies, with the 58.

      @@TheGuitarBay Thanks Takis!
      Btw i also own a similar amp but it is LC30 mark ii, which is amazing. Only downside is that it is way too loud, i only used at 8oclock max at home! I ordered an attenuator with dummy load and will arrive tomorrow, cant wait to finally can hear the real sound of the amp :)
      I also rock the Mad Prof Royal blue overdrive, though mainly using HX stomp these days

    • @TheGuitarBay
      @TheGuitarBay  2 года назад

      Hey Filip, I don't know the exact model but it's made by Wilkinson. It's not the M series for sure, must be an Alnico V (and has an awesome snappiness to it).
      I also forgot to mention that the bridge does top-load as well. The thought of yanking out the whole bridge and putting it on my Mexican Player crossed my mind several times :)
