Why Anakin Didn't Have Sith Eyes While Fighting Obi-Wan - Star Wars Theory

- Sith eyes are the super saiyan of Star Wars. The power up. The full power mode. When a sith showed his sith eyes, it was on like donkey kong. Anakin developed his first set of Sith eyes after eliminating the Separatists on Mustafar. Once he saw Padme, his eyes returned back to normal blue. But as he fought Kenobi...why didn't they flicker back and forth, or stay yellow orange? They only turned back to their sith colour once Anakin lost to the high ground, as he drew upon the powers of the darkness to sustain his life through the immense pains he felt.
YOU WERE MY BROTHER ANAKIN
could this moment have been skipped? Had Anakin used the full powers of the darkside in order to fight Obi-Wan Kenobi? Could he have increased his abilities if he used all of his new powers and drew upon that anger and hatred without conflict of the light? Vader had conflict, let alone while still in Anakin's body. I'm sure the conflict would have been much greater at this moment during Order 66 in Revenge of the Sith.
Do you think sith eyes are relative to power if one is a Sith Lord?
If not, why?

Anakin's ''don't make me kill you'' was definitely him internally *begging* Obi Wan to at the very least just leave mustafar, and let him build his empire in peace. Obi Wan's one last chance to leave before Anakin loses control of himself and tries to kill his master.
That would make an interesting what if video, if Obi-Wan fled and left with Padmé
@@kingmarsden if he would have done that, all would have been different. Anakin wouldn't continue in the dark side. Padme was be able to convince him to return to the light
That’s my thoughts too

People forget that even though Anakin was fighting to Kill Obi-Wan, they were still Brothers and that he loved him...
@The Second Son’s Agreed, I was never too fond of that duel either
@The Second Son’s I like a fan edit more, the one I saw has Anakin’s eyes turn blue before going back to yellow right before he says “then you will die.” Makes me feel Anakin almost broke through but the Vader in him was just too strong.

@Voldemort beat Grindelwald and Dumbledore and of course he saved him when he fought doku he was still a jedi and was on a mission with obi wan

Hayden and Ewan’s acting in Sith was truly incredible
I agree. Most of it was amazing. The whole sand schpeal was kinda silly but for most of these movies they killed it i loved the prequels and the originals. I wish they would retcon all the disney sequals they are horrible and had seemingly no direction
yeah, but there are a few people that hate anakin primarily because he was a "whiny brat" in their eyes. same for Kylo Ren. I have never hated Anakin because of his outbursts, and I have grown to enjoy Kylo Ren. Yeah, I know the sequel trilogy has even more haters than the prequel trilogy. however, it still had several great aspects imo. I loved the character of Rey and her natural affinity for the force makes so much sense considering she's a Palpatine. people would've been happier I they hadn't kept it secret until episode 9, because they love having stuff thrust in their face to help them understand things. Ben solo... well, he's a skywalker that had inherited Anakin's internal struggle with the dark side. I do agree that Luke trying to kill his nephew because of Ben's similarity to Vader was dumb, considering that's what pushed Vader to the dark side in the first place. However, Luke remembered all the evil Vader had done and reacted out of fear. not a very Jedi-esque action, but it's a natural one. Especially, for those than repress/suppress their fears just to remain on the light side.
@@yoloswaggins5385 I didn't see the sand thing as silly. Frankly, I agreed with it. Sand is annoying and it gets literally EVERYWHERE. Those that live surrounded by sand have gotten used to it, but they hate it even more than those that live elsewhere.
Yup, named one of my sons after Hayden Christensen
@@Soron661 thats not really why he hated sand
That makes sense. When Obi Wan defeats Anakin, his eyes reverted back to Sith red and yellow. Stripping him of his love of his master and made him forget Padme for a while.
I also noticed that he has to feel pure hatred to have Sith eyes. When he saw Padme, it was love overriding hate. When he saw Obi Wan, he has the emotions of jealousy, sadness, guilt, arrogance, mercy, and hesitation all happening simultaneously, unable to concentrate on the pure hatred as he has on the Separatist leaders.
Ian boggs and now you comment on Star Wars Theory too!?
@@dzaifulnuressamsudin470 Anakin could never strip his love for Padmé, that doesn’t make sense.
@@OGStarlightKY thats not what i meant
Not only that but when he is covered with fire 🔥 he does not die instead the flames are absorbed out of his hatred and dark side powers increase. I guess it would make sense with the force having good and evil power advantages.

I feel the same, that Anakin was holding back as he didn't really want to fight Obi-Wan but was left with little choice. And I can't wait for your Dooku video. The current lore confirms Anakin wasn't holding back. Between Family at War and the official reference guides, he was determined to kill Obi-Wan, because to him, Kenobi represented everything that was wrong with the Republic and the Jedi Order.

@@Lordmewtwo151 Indeed I was, LOL. So does that count as a r/woosh moment?
@@TheRebornExpert For me? Or Julia?
The novel sums it up pretty easily. "This is the end for you my master, I wish it were not so." He had love and respect for Obi-Wan. He was still conflicted during the fight.
Star Wars theory, I think your right and support your theory. If we really look at it his eyes turned yellow while he was killing the separatist leaders, I think they did that because he had a “complete” hate for them even in clone wars we know he hates the confederate side. Not having any conflict it was that much easier to fully turn “Sith Lord”. It is completely evident that he loved Obi-Wan taking clone wars and the beginning of revenge of the sith into account. Even before they fought in his own conflicted way he was warning Obi-Wan one could say almost begging him “don’t make me kill you.” Even when Padme asked Anakin what about Obi-Wan his remark is basically “I can only hope he has remained loyal to the chancellor” as if to say I really hope it doesn’t come down to what I might have to do. It wasn’t until after Kenobi beat him that Anakins eyes turn into Vader as to say “I can’t believe he actually did this to me. Turned Padme against me and physically injured me.” That’s when we get the “I hate you!” There was no longer any conflict. Anakin was set in his hatred for him and thus the eyes came back. Anakin/Vader are my fav characters. It’s one of the best stories of caution and redemption I have ever seen or read. Awesome theory and loved that you worked DBZ and DBS into that.
This was the conflict & the Light that Luke could still sense so many years later. It was always there & never went fully away. And all these reasons make total sense. Anakin was still fresh as a Sith, didn't know or fully understand the Dark Side powers yet. His love towards Padmé & Obi kept him in the Light, maybe even unintentionally. Anakin was very arrogant, maybe felt he didn't even need to draw full power to defeat Obi anyway, hence why he made that fatal jump that crippled him & then worse even if he should have known better. Also, even before Padmé & Obi arrive we see Anakin shedding tears. Why he is crying differs depending whom you ask, but for me it is that conflict yet again. He desires all this power, yes, & he's doing it to save Padmé. But maybe, just maybe, after having slaughtered everyone, reality hits him & he feels guilty. All he wanted was to be the greatest Jedi ever &, despite his new Sith powers, his lifelong dream is now gone, & deep down Anakin knows full well how wrong he has done. he has paid a prize already & he knows it. There, in his solitude, he can admit it to himself. Again, this must be the conflict Luke describes in ROTJ, the guilt & the immense prize that had to be paid. That the conflict was already there could easily explain the absence of Sith eyes on Anakin during most of his Mustafar visit.
Typo: Should be 'price' not 'prize' in the penultimate sentence. Peace.

Palpatine didnt lose on purpose, anakin telling mace windu he was a sith lord wasn't apart of sidious' plan and as far as mace windu and sidious knew, anakin wasnt gonna turn up. It was when he saw anakin that he purposefully used his own sith lightning to make it look like he was going to die at the hands of mace, and turn anakin, desperate to save his wife, to the dark side. I think the whole encounter with mace was improvised by palpatine, and he definitely didnt intend to lose the duel
Cause good ole palps is a genius
I don't rly know but george basiccly said what ur saying so yah ur right and ur explnation is probably cannon.
That is the official version. It makes sense, as a psychopath like Palps wouldn't ever put himself in such danger.
ruclips.net/video/c6EsC9hpKc0/видео.html
Nothing was improvised. Current lore confirms Mace legitimately outdueled and cornered Palpatine. The latter resorting to lightning was a desperate bid to turn the table and save himself. After his face was disfigured and the lightning blocked, Palpatine was genuinely at Windu's mercy and had Anakin not betrayed him, Mace would have destroyed Palpatine and prevented the rise of the Empire.
I think if Anakin was fully committed to the light or dark he could have beaten Obi-Wan. He probably lost because he still had conflict within.
Look at Obi-Wan vs Maul's duel from TPM Obi-Wan almost lost trying to out duel Maul even enraged when he first went at maul he still got beat once he fought defensive he beat maul
Dooku was able to beat Obi-Wan because , The form Dooku used was also defensive, Obi-Wan is gonna lose offensive as his strength was his defensive lightsaber dueling it's why they wanted him and not Anakin to fight Grevious
Look at how Obi-Wan fought always on the defensive patient, waiting for the moment to get a strike in , that's how he beat Maul twice and Darth Vader on Mustafar
@@thepubknight6144 well anakin actullay beat himself for jumping
@@admiral_chika6780 Actually, it was Anakin's own hubris and Obi-Wan's intimate knowledge of Anakin's lightsaber form (Djem So) and nature that ultimately led to Anakin's brutally crippling defeat at Kenobi's hands in the end.
I think George has actually talked about this in the past and pretty much said the same thing.
I watched a movie that reminded me of this. It's called, The Roommate. The "roommate" was off her meds and saw the other girl as the sister she always wanted. So she hurt and killed others even a defenseless kitten in efforts to secure there relationship. The moment when the "roommate" was staring down the barrel of the gun they were struggling for and the other girl pulled the trigger on the now empty handgun; then she totally lost it. She couldn't believe the girl would kill her just because she believed she couldn't kill the girl.
Point being is Obi Wan Kenobi told Yoda flat out, " I can't kill Anakin." So I see this as a similar scenerio. Neither wanted to harm the other. Just earlier in the film Anakin literally disarmed and beheaded the best dualist in the Galaxy. Dooku who tossed Obi Wan like a ragdoll with the force while simultaneously fighting Anakin. Why wouldn't Anakin be able to defeat Obi Wan Kenobi with or without Sith eyes? Anakin didn't believe it until it was too late. Anakin wasn't jumping to kill Obi Wan. He jumping to continue the battle. 🤷
I feel when Anakin killed the separatist he was fully immersed in the darkside at that point. He was brutal, merciless, sadistic and coldblooded when he was killing them. I mean he was a straight beast. At that point that wasn't Anakin anymore but Darth Vader. On top of that it was personal. Especially with Nute Gunray.
One of the final nails was after he caught fire he still reached out to Obi-Wan for help and Obi-Wan just left him there.😔

There's definitely a lot of different ways Darth Vader and Obi-wan's first battle could have gone. A big one for me is what if Obi-wan would've chose, at some point, to simply talk like Qui-gon would've with Vader. Would he have turned back to the Light Side, but that is only one of many.
Slightly belated congratulations on reaching 3,000,000. The force is with you!👍
I love everything you said here in this analysis. it's just... somehow... wholesome!
these classic theory videos are always nice to watch!
I agree with you. It's like Dooku not having them both had not completely given themselves to the dark side. Obi-Wan cutting Anakin down and then ignoring his plea for help or even refusing to put him out of the misery he would have been in as the flames took over his body is what finally drove him to completely lose himself to it.
Anakin and Obi-Wan were essentially brothers, and they loved each other. Despite trying to kill him, Anakin did not hate Obi-Wan until he lost his legs. At that point, Vader took over, and his eyes turned Sith yellow.
Obiwan:sneaks onto Padmé's ship, comes out from his hiding place to catch Anakin's attention when Padmé's in the process of convincing Anakin to stop and turn back to the light, stands in goofy Superman pose intending to appear menacing and threatening towards Anakin on a mission to defeat the Sith per his duty as a Jedi,is hostile before his confrontation with Anakin prepared and determined to kill the traitor Sith, doesn't even try to convince or persuade his so called beloved brother he apparently raised to stop and repent as the so called "negotiator" even though Anakin doesn't have the Sith eyes meaning he hasn't fully immersed himself to the dark side because he's conflicted,so there's still hope but says he'll do what he must, then proceeds to maim, multilate and disfigure his so called good friend that he left for dead to burn alive in misery, expecting him to die But what can you expect from the hypocrite preaching only a sith deals in absolutes as if that claim isn't an absolute, and as if the belief that the Jedi are 100% good and the Sith are 100% pure evil ain't an absolute when Dooku exists.
Star Wars Fandom:But he never actually dealt the killing blow at least,so it's whatever and deserved btw🤷🏾♀️
Anakin:barely inflicts any pain, harm and damage on Obiwan's body due to not wanting to actually hurt his former master who trained him to be a Jedi even after his fake father figure adviser/confidante/mentor Palpatine's manipulation via lies and being extremely conflicted in turmoil and tormented by what he felt he had to do but holding back, because he never wanted to actually kill Obiwan☠️🤨So he's understandably angry and responds negatively to Obiwan's threatening body language to fight and kill him but still not fully committed to the dark side or even tapped into it to reach more power like he intended before switching sides and turning

Anakin even says “if you’re not with me then you’re against me” meaning he would have accepted Obi if he agreed with him
The Mortis arc in TCW shows Anakin with the Sith yellow eyes an Obiwan sees him. That’s the closest we will see Anakin with the Sith yellow eyes in front of Obi imo. But I’m perfectly fine with Disney disproving my opinion😭
Lol, even Ahsoka had Sith eyes in that episode.
My understanding of the lore is that only Sith have Sith eyes. Dark Jedi don't. Anakin and Ahsoka would have only been Dark Jedi on Mortis, not Sith.
@@timonsolus Correct Anakin was not a Sith but I believe he was far from a Jedi at that point and was just swallowed in the darkside from The Son

Ian has said that Palpatine threw the fight, but George and Samuel both have said Mace won legitimately.
In my honest view, the words of the creator himself should & does stand above any other comment. Sure, Ian brought the character to life and we all love him for that. However, we must understand that he didn't create the character. Overall, I am going with the creator himself.
George sometimes contradricticts himself whenever he expands lore.
It would make no sense whatsoever for Anakin to arrive in a buiding of bodies and THEN willingly join Palpatine without a fight. The whole tragedy is based on Anakin's choice, which required him to see for himself the hypocrisy of the Jedi
@@jDiddyi Yeah and Mace winning legitimately supports that. He can see Mace overpowered Palpatine and was gonna kill him.

I think Mace Windu is one of the hardest to fight Jedi for the Sith. He can redirect the Dark Side power thru him so they can’t really overpower him and the more the Sith put into it the more his style benefits it.
I wonder if we will see in the Kenobi show, Obi Wan thinking about what happened, how it could have been different, maybe having regrets of some of his actions taking the situation "from a certain point of view", through the eyes of his friend, his brother, Anakin

Great video theory and I agree I think youre spot on with this. I think Anakin was so conflicted on mustafar. After killing the separatists he sheds a tear because he’s not sure if what he’s doing is right. Hence his conflict against Obi wan and not having the Sith eyes then because he wasn’t immersed in hate or darkness until he was burning (at that point he was Vader imo). Also when he’s with Padme no Sith eyes due to his love for her. The question, could Anakin have become as strong if he didn’t embrace the dark side? Did he need to become Vader to take his strength to a new level?
Luke: Is the dark side stronger?
Yoda: Nah.
Every other evidence in the Star Wars lore: Yeah.

I'd say it's something like this, the Jedi wish to be on with the force while the sith seek to control it
This is actually so interesting and I’ve never thought about the eyes in my life. Great thinking.
I always wondered this myself & honestly this idea makes perfect sense.
Much like your other videos have said, you bring up some incredible points as to why his eyes were not at full Sith mode once he fought against Kenobi. I think it was a matter that he was so new to the Dark Side abilities that he hadn't yet tapped into his true power. Had he not become a cripple & cyborg all in one swoop, his full dark side abilities would have manifested even more so than Palpatine. Sidious knew that Anakin would be a force user like none before. This is why he was the Chosen one. Only one who has studied, practiced, and used BOTH SIDES can truly bring them into balance. He was it.
Keep up the great work and don't stop what you do. I find it fascinating how you are able to present the information in a fun and engaging way. One final note to point out: his eyes were not Sith either when the Vader helmet was put on for the first and most fateful time.
Their fight Anakin had actually only barely tapped into his hatred and rage, their fight was mostly a prideful duel between master and apprentice trying to prove the ladder was weak. With Anakin mostly playing fair as a way to prove he could surpass his master without the dark side. Even when choking the life out of obi wan, Anakin barely looks like he has any hate at all, I think mostly due to the years spent as a cold hardened soldier. Because by this point he very clearly was Vader, his thinking pattern had changed and that's why he even tried to replicate obi wans fight with maul at the end of the fight, it's only once Anakin actually takes the damage do all his emotions come running back, immediately on the beach of the lava river. He no longer has a calm exterior of proving he is better it's shifted to a rage of unaccepting that he lost. Sorry fr the rant just wanted to give my thoughts haha this is just my opinion

The expression he has on his face when he's choking Obi-Wan was one that said:
"Come on, just please die already and let this end.."
Right-on man. I've wondered this for years.......
my theory is that he just was very tired after slaughtering the entire jedy order, separatists and other people. At that point of time Emperor would want him to act fast. So maybe Anakin could not tap into the fool power of the dark side. And then later it probably was the effect of extreme pain that caused him to do it - without holding anything back which probably harms him in the long run. After all people have limits, that they place on themselves subconsiously to prevent lasting damage to their health, but they can bypass them in extreme situations. Anakin being Anakin probably didnt think that Kenobi would such a pain in his... legs, since he probably killed some jedy that were more powerful in the force that Obi.
That makes sense I have always thought he must have been exhausted when he fought obi wan
Not sure if you read the book for Revenge of the Sith or not but in that book the inner conflict in Anakin bounces him from good to evil so easily it's not surprising his eyes could change either way depending on his "swing". I believe in the final battle as Padme shows up it sort of confirms what you are saying here, then as he sees obiwan again the same thing. Love your stuff and matches what the books are saying fairly well.
These theories are why I subscribed years ago.

We see Dooku with Sith eyes in the clone wars just a few times. I’m thinking specifically when Mother Talzin was torturing him in Season 4 Episode 9. I’d love to see a video of you breaking down more details about Dooku tapping into his dark side abilities. What was his strongest moment? What was his weakest? Why are his sith eyes, so incredibly rare? Could he be ranked as one of the weakest Sith?
Not weakest you gotta remember Dooku was a public figure it would look odd if his eyes were a yellow color among the public, and even Sidious had his eyes hidden when he announced himself as Emperor
Dooku had them when he dueled Anakin on tatooine and when he fought the night sisters after they shot him with a dart where he didn't have to hide the darkness within him
He was able to master force lightning very quickly which is a hard feat to master, there was a dark side user that wanted to be a inquisitor and she ended up electrocuting herself to death
That love aspect, I hadn't considered that.
But I had always thought that Anakin was so confident that he felt he was strong enough without the dark side.
Good video bruh keep up the good work. I agree with you on Anakin not using his full power. Can you do a video on how palpatine still isn't dead all he did was ho into rey it's just another way Disney has messed up with the starwars movies
I love it Max!
Anakin, unlocking his new Darksider powers.
Obi wan walks in.
Anakin, starts fight and forgets to key bind his new powers.
I did do a video on this a few months back, my theory is that the sith eyes are like being controlled by a demon and that the jedi thought there was no way back, the sith did as well, as Vader states to Luke multiple times that it is to late for him, obi-wan and yoda also express that they have failed because they don't believe Luke can bring Anakin back to the surface. But in the end it is Luke who is right not the old jedi's. This is mirrored in revenge of the sith because pedme also believed Anakin could come back. his eyes changing from yellow when killing the separatist's to then crying just before meeting up with padme showing that he regrets his actions. He believes he is a sith then, but obi-wan can see he isn't and tries to reason with him until he sees the yellow eyes after cutting him down. This is why I believe obi-wan left Anakin and didn't try to save him, He thought that Anakin was gone and that the dark lord Vader has consumed him, like a demon inhabiting a body.
@AREVALAGAN A/L ANBALAGAN Moe oh thank you
That’s a really good theory.

Love the content!!!!!!!
Anakin’s in a dark place where he doesn’t even know who he is anymore
The guy just got burned alive while obi wan watched well he did look away out of his shock.
These are the kinda videos I like
Simply put he didn't have the conviction in his heart at the specific times, when he killed the separatist council he had pure conviction and malice, no mercy, but he had love for obi wan and padme still, it was when he said "I hate you" is when they truly showed, like how he didn't have with eyes when he looked to luke when he was passing on
I always believed that the Sith only get the yellow eyes when they are consumed by their hate.
Anakin hated the Separatists so he had the yellow eyes but he never hated the Jedi which is why his eyes remained blue. Part of him is still grateful that the Jedi took him in and have raised and trained him as one of their own but he is only killing them out of fear that they would sense his betrayal over helping Darth Sidious kill Mace and retaliate against him. Anakin didn't hate Padme either (not even when he accused her of bringing Obi-wan to kill him) and even while he was fighting Obi-wan, he didn't hate him until after Obi-wan chopped him up and left him to burn.
On the issue of whether or not Mace actually defeated Sidious, I always believed that Sidious allowed Mace to win so he could trick Anakin into believing he was helpless. This isn't the first time Sidious made Anakin think he was helpless because Sidious staged his own kidnapping in the beginning of Episode 3 and in both situations, he's manipulated Anakin into killing Dooku and betraying Mace.
Technically, Mace had actually won against/beaten Sidious fair and square. Even with Sidious' use of tricky tactics and extremely offensive Dark Side force powers such as Force Lightning, Mace was still that much of an immensely capable and powerful lightsaber duelist that he eventually managed to get the upper hand on Sidious in the end and all Sidious could do pretty much was merely resort to utilizing dirty tactics/tricks instead.

First, there was a moment where Sidious points his lightsaber at Mace's chest. He could've finished him off at that moment but he hesitated.
Second, Anakin shows up at the same time that Mace kicked Sidious to the ground which gives viewers the impression that Sidious had foreseen Anakin coming to his rescue hence, why he didn't finish off Mace quickly like he did with the other 3 Jedi.
Third, we know Sidious has multiple lightsabers. He fought both Darth Maul and Savage Oppress with 2 lightsabers in the Clone Wars cartoon and he had another lightsaber ready for his fight with Yoda later on in the movie. Sidious could've had an extra lightsaber stashed in his robes and could've used it to sucker punch Mace but he had to rely on Anakin turning traitor against Mace.
@@loudboy317 Ahhh, but there are actually 3 things that make it very much UNdoubtful that Mace Windu clearly dominated and won the fight with Sidious though:
1) He visibly made Sidious struggle the entire time against him *after* Sidious had already slaughtered the other 3 Jedi which thus demonstrated just how much of a threat Mace really was.
2) Sidious couldn't even so much as land a *single hit* on Mace nor even knocked him down to the ground at least once either and for every offensive maneuver that Sidious attempted, Mace *always* countered beautifully and perfectly. Mace practically maintained his composure throughout the entire fight while Sidious left himself open far too often and made several glaring mistakes as well due to being ruled by his emotions (being a Sith/Darksider after all).
And lastly 3) Mace is the absolute *master* of the lightsaber form, Vaapad/Form 7 which, if I remember correctly, is the form that allows a Jedi to essentially channel their own inner darkness and accept the opponent's fury which was thus expertly demonstrated by Mace in his duel with Sidious. And not only that, there were also 2 versions of the form as well and since Mace was regarded as the single master of this particular lightsaber form, more than any other Jedi, he could've easily been able to seamlessly switch between the 2 versions of this form therefore confusing Sidious and throwing him off of his game even further. Then there's the part where Sidious tried to resort to using sneaky tactics such as shooting Force lightning at Mace when the latter least expected it out of sheer desperation and when *that* failed, there was the look of pure fear on Sidious'/Palpatine's face and his sudden realization that he's most certainly about to be taken down for good.
So all in all, Mace Windu *most definitely* won that duel fair and square, everything else aside, dude. It's a victory that can't be taken away from one of the greatest Jedi masters of all time period 🤷🏽♂️.

1. Sidious had Mace on the run after he slaughtered those 3 Jedi. Mace was backing away while Sidious went on the attack. It looked like Sidious was dominating the fight until they locked sabers together.
2. Mace didn't land a single hit on Sidious either. Sidious dodged the overhead swing that Mace made and in the next scene, made his lightsaber hit the window. Sure, the fight ends with Mace kicking Sidious to the ground but the timing between that kick and Anakin's arrival makes everything too suspicious.
3. In the Revenge of the Sith novelization, Sidious told Mace, "Fool, do you think the fear you feel is mine?" That sounded like he wanted both Mace and Anakin to think that he was losing when in actuality, Sidious was counting on Anakin to desperately come to his rescue. Hence, why after Anakin chopped off Mace's hand, Sidious jumped right back to shooting Mace out the window with "UNLIMITED POWER".
Sidious has been faking everything throughout the prequels from being a mere politician to a kidnapped victim which makes Mace's victory look fake as well.
@@loudboy317 And yet *another* correction is in order it seems lol:
1) It was technically *Mace* who had *Sidious* on the run/ropes the entire time pretty much after Sidious had already slaughtered those first 3 Jedi in actuality. Mace was conserving his energy with defense and letting Sidious be the one to make all the mistakes while simultaneously choosing the best times to strike like a true master.
2) Mace knew *precisely* what he was doing the whole time. He was practically dodging and countering every single piece of offense that Sidious threw at him and he did so perfectly as well. And technically, from the angle of the scene, it looked like *both* of their sabers hit the window at the same time. And yes, just the mere fact that the fight *ends with Mace kicking Sidious square in the face and holding him down to the ground at saber-point* already sealed the deal right then and there regardlessly.
3) The novelization of ROTS is utterly irrelevant here since we're *solely* talking about the breakdown of the scene in the *movie* instead of the book. Once again, you *have* to take into undeniable account that Mace Windu is a *certified master* of Vaapad/Form VII which allowed him to essentially utilize the Dark Side of the Force's benefits without succumbing to the influence of the Dark Side while also feeding off of his opponents own aggression in combat as well. Bottom line is that Mace practically had Sidious *exactly* where he wanted him and could've easily killed/destroyed him if he wanted to, but Sidious having to resort to the usage of such cowardly tactics such as relying on Anakin's naivety to save him and shooting Force lightning at Mace when the latter least expected it only further shows who was the truly dominant duelist in that battle.
Regardless of how good of an "actor" Sidious is, Sidious has also been shown to be capable of having genuine fear/concern towards characters that are either equal to or far greater than him in terms of Force power/lightsaber combat prowess. Mace is rightfully regarded as one of the greatest lightsaber duelists of his time and his *certified and dominant* victory over Sidious is a perfect example of why that is and thus can't ever be overlooked nor denied in any way.
Even though Anakin wasn’t full sith mode Kenobi!!!!!! Was on defense the whole fight.
A really good theory. An interesting concept. I do agree.
OMG, you should do a what if on full power emperor anakin vs. the yuuzhan vong
An interesting to apply it to count dooku as well. Who wasn’t in the darkness as other sith
Bro @Starwarstherory I love your vids but whats that sad song you use in most of your vids
It made so much sense since only after that point of view line he truly trying to end the battle swiftly,
Completely agree. I'd never actually thought of that before
I would love a video about count dooku
Great topic and POV, i agree with the eye theory but I think as he started killing the young Jedi at the temple sith possession took over and all of His nightmares were ( warnings of future foresights to come) such as his wife and mother dying and the killing of young Jedi students at the temple as well… thanks for sharing take care be safe and looking forward to your next episode…
What if in the empire strikes back, Darth Vader said: Obi Wan killed your father, instead of: I am your father.
I always thought of the dark side like blood magic power through sacrifice in sadistic or masidistic way and sith eyes showed up whenever in a sacrifice ritual
Thanks! 🙏🏼
I’m going to have to slightly disagree. I honestly feel that his eyes should’ve changed immediately to yellow after he forced choked to Padmé because it shows how low he was willing go into hurting the one person he believed was protecting. As Obi-Wan said “…you have become the very thing you swore to destroy”. In almost every version based on the film, I have seen him with yellow eyes. As soon as he choked his wife, that was not Anakin. That was Vader. He was not hesitating when he was trying to kill will be one. Every attempt was to try to kill him. He utilize the same lightsaber techniques but in a more brutal and frightening fashion. Because he became so controlled by his aggression it would give way to his rage. Thanks to it, his anger left him susceptible to making mistakes and leaving himself open.
As Leonardo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated film once said: “Funny thing about anger. Let it consume you, and soon enough you lose sight of everything.”
You should do a what if padmay sivide
A theory I personally enjoy is that he rejected the dark side believing that he alone was powerful enough to defeat Obi-wan. When that didn't happen, and when he knew he was defeated (I.E. Lt Dan style) he drew upon the power but it was too late to win.
I think you have nailed it sharply, on all points. An impressive analysis of the available information, and insight of living "heart", of the FORCE, itself.
Too bad it was too little too late, to save a lot of other masters and children, by his seemingly having the capacity to see how each side, was taking advantage of him.
As you've pointed out, he could have easily changed the tides of everything, by defending Windu, instead of attacking him..preventing ORDER-66 altogether.
great video as always star wars theory. enjoy how you breakdown your thoughts and opinions on the Star Wars Galaxy.
I too always thought of sith Eyes that way! like you gotta be in the zone (dark side) to manifest them
Makes sense, I think also he was so new into the Darkside the control of the eyes and with his new powers was lacking. Probably once they are in it for a long time. It stays
Well done! Never paid attention to Anakin’s eye colors. Leave it to Lucas to draw upon every aspect to tell a grand story! Great observation Theory 👏
He still had the memories of his brotherly relationship with Obi-Wan of all the past love respect between the two.
Another great theory by Star Wars Theory.
Or why didn’t Count Dooku have Sith eyes either?
Can you do a what if Anakin didn't kill the younglings?
Again, Lucas, addressing the age the character is at, an age most of us were in college or some post high school transition, showing us laundry days, power getting turned off if a bill gets not paid.
Now imagine a guy like Anakin. He was young, making uninformed young decisions. Wisdom would come with time.
One thing I really wish they would have included was how Anakin was even an outsider among the Jedi and at an early age not entirely embraced by his fellow padwans. A strong texture for who Anakin would become.
I do kind of agree with that theory that the reason Aniken’s eyes were not sith yellow It’s because he was still learning how to use the Darkside he hadn’t fully learned everything
This made a whole lot of sense to me. Another theory that I had thought of while watching this was that maybe Anakin’s eyes didn’t turn yellow/orange because his arrogance had taken control, and maybe he wanted to defeat kenobi using the Jedi techniques that he had learned under kenobi. Kinda like how he tried to defeat kenobi by using the same move he had used on maul. And maybe his arrogance would’ve turned his eyes yellow/orange, but I just thought that was pretty interesting.
*I always just chalked it up to the contact's just not working during the time when they shot those scenes. Sense we see in other media that the Eyes during the dull are Sith eyes.*
I agree with you. I think he was conflicted when fighting Obi-Wan. In fact, even after he gets chopped in half, you see see sadness in his eyes. Same with that scene on Mustafar after he defeated the Seperatists.
I said the same thing to myself. When he seen Padme. Everything changed in that instant. I also agree with you that Anakin wasn’t full dark side against Obi Wan. If you remember Anakin was very cocky and arrogant. He even mentioned that he thought he was good or better the Master Yoda in lightsaber wielding. You know Obi Wan checked him quickly. He said you wish. I could be wrong. Well, I love your channel. Great videos and informative content. Keep up the great work. Take care. May the Force be with you. Always.
OW" if u would just listen to me you'd be as wise as master Yoda and powerful as master windu.
AS" I thought I already was"
OW:"only in your own mind my young Padawan"
Hey Theory are you also going to do a video about Kylo Ren on why he didn't have Sith yellow eyes too
I like to think of the sith eyes as the sharingan but I get your drift
