What I love is how Anakin wasn’t the pure light in the end. What he was, was the balance. Tilting both sides sometimes in the same way as revan. Obi wan saved his brother

The three biggest reason that Anakin betrayed the Jedi is - they rarely helped but sat in their cushy chairs while a war was going on, they ignored his merits or achievements as a guardian of peace while he has to face deadly foes, and after all these years they didn’t trust Anakin at all, so why should he rely on them?
What people don’t realize is that obi wan was a master of talking and persuasion. I TURLY believe if he tried talking anakin out of being a sith it would’ve worked.
He would have been like Naruto with his talk no jutsu.

Disney ruined Anakin's legacy and made 3 disconnected movies (even within its own trilogy) that were hamfisted together full of nonsensical BS and tropes that weren't satisfying to anyone. Just to give one example, they had people on horseback riding along a ship in outer space. It doesn't get any stupider than that.

definitely would be a super interesting saga after that. he would stand trial, and you’d see the amount of people who hate him. they would work on saving the clones, which then in turn would probably have anakin just have a lowkey squad (similar to the bad batch except with a shit ton of clones) who do dirty work. just random thoughts of mine haha
It's hard to blame Anakin on a personal level for snapping the way he did after the Jedi mistreated him so badly. And the way Obi Wan just gave up on him so readily after his fall is heartbreaking to say the least.
It’s not wise to blame Anakin or any Jedi for what he did. Palpatine was the core to all their problems. In other words, if there was no Palpatine then there would be no problems. The Jedi made unintentional mistakes if you truly understand the story…
@@digitalrebel7718 Palpatine sped things up, yes, but between Anakin's raw power and his disillusionment with the Jedi, he would have fallen on his own given time, mirroring Duku's path almost exactly.
Anakin, on his own, would have had the power to do what Duku needed Palpatine for. And he would have known that. And when the time came, the Jedi would have stood in his way.
It's odd seeing you say Obi-Wan just gave up on him... Anakin killed all of their friends and colleagues, slaughtered countless children, and choked out his wife.. and Obi-Wan STILL tried to talk to him 🤣
@@spencergrady4575 Obi Wan was very quick to let Anakin go. He didn't really make much of an effort to avoid or stop their dual. He left him beaten and mangled to burn to death on the shores of the lava river.
Obi Wan made no attempt to retrieve him and from Vader's point of view was just like the others after all. I imagine that betrayal fueled Vader's anger more than anything.

You conveniently glossed over the whole killing his colleagues, friends, and CHILDREN bit.
Obi-Wan left the ship and Anakin immediately chokes his wife.
As Obi-Wan tries to talk him down Anakin starts talking about 'HIS' empire. Anakin then proceeds to tell Obi-Wan "Don't make me KILL you.. If you're not with me you're my enemy."
His intent is clear. It was clear when he killed kids. Obi-Wan was willing to fight and die (and likely be tortured) against Sidious to not have to fight Anakin, but Yoda rightfully tells him he can't face Sidious. This is about more than personal feelings, it's about the fate of the entire galaxy, and Anakin clearly made his choice.
People are always so quick to coddle Anakin, but HE KILLED KIDS.
It's honestly flabbergasting lol.

I have always thought that Anakin could have been saved but I don’t think it could have happened this easily - especially at this point of his fall. Definitely there was still some humanity and guilt, but also a lot of rage and pride. Regardless - love a well written/animated alternate timeline with a happier ending! This animation is really wonderful.
He did eventually in the end of Return of the Jedi!
The issue is that this alt timeline ignores why Anakin turned to the Dark Side in the first place, the fact that the Jedi Order did not trust him whatsoever, and that he wanted to save Padme's life.
How it could have gone down, is that Obi-Wan wanted to maintain a dialogue, but he speaks to Anakin BEFORE Padme does, and tries to reason with why his apprentice did what he did. Trying to emulate his Master Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan would seek to hear his apprentice out, and upon learning about his visions about Padme, and the failure of the order, (and the fact that its already fallen), would offer to help Anakin find a way to save Padme, not as Jedi, not as a Sith, but as Brothers.
Effectively, Obi-Wan would do for Anakin, what he never did for Satine, he would leave the Jedi Order right then and there. This may seem out of character, but it really isn't. Obi-Wan wanted nothing more than to be like his Master Qui-Gon, but also to be an upstanding Master Jedi. But when the Order fails his apprentice Anakin, AND failed Anakins apprentice Ahsoka, he should have followed the path of Quin-Gon, and rejected the Jedi Order.
Since they had this dialogue first things first, Anakin would have never harmed Padme, and thus they reunite affectionately.
Another correction, Palpatine would never have gone to Mustafar. The literal only reason he even did in the first place was because Anakin was dying, and he wanted to use the Force to drain Padme of life to save Anakin. If Anakin was never defeated, he would have never went. Especially because, Anakin in his Lord Vader state, was far stronger than Palpatine could ever be. and now that Anakin was finally given the trust of Obi-Wan that he always wanted, he would be much more like a Grey Jedi.
Now. for anyone who wants to claim that Obi-Wan would never forgive Anakin for the slaughtering of the Jedi & Younglings. You would be wrong. Obi-Wan in this scenario would be trying to follow the footsteps of Qui-Gon, and would come to a heartbreaking conclusion he would never share with anyone. He blames himself. He wouldn't blame Anakin or the Jedi Order, but instead HIMSELF for having failed his apprentice, for having not been a good Master, for not having heard out Anakin long long ago. After all, how could Anakin confide in Palpatine about the Visions of Padme,... but not Obi-Wan. Because Anakin could not trust Obi-Wan.
He would still of course regret Anakin's actions, but see it as his own failing as a Master.
Then, after Mustafar, having renounced the Jedi Order, Padme, Anakin, and Obi-Wan would start their own Rebellion. Not to save the corrupt Republic. Not to bring back the Jedi. But to bring an end to the Sith and the Empire. Their entire goal is just to remove Palpatine, his Empire, and the Inquistors, and to finish the Sith off for good. After that, the Galaxy can restructure itself. Joining them would be the likes of Bail Organa, and every world that was indebted to Anakin or Obi-Wan during the Clone Wars.
It would take less than 6 years, but Palpatine would eventually be defeated, and in typical Palpatine fashion, would pull something like an Operation: Cinder.
After which point, Anakin with his 2 Kids, and Obi-Wan, and all the Order 66 Jedi Survivors who after hearing the call of Anakin & Obi-Wan, the Heroes of the Republic during the Clone Wars, rejected the Jedi Order and the Republic, would band together and form "The Watchers", who would be dedicated towards strictly peacekeeping, to ending wars, to wiping out Bounty Hunters & Assassins & Pirates, and to wiping out Dark Side Force Users. A completely neutral organization, attached to no governments, and who would help those in need, who are poverty stricken, and who need help.
and their first task? Go to the Unknown Regions and wipe out the Imperial Remnant and the Imperial Warlords.
how close Palpatine was to failing at this point is one of the reasons I liked Revenge of the Sith. All it would have taken for the order to have never been butchered was a little more trust in Anakin. Take him to Palpatine, let Palpatine be arrested and denounced as the instigator of the war in front of the senate. Order 66 is never enacted, Anakin never purges the temple, and the Jedi thrive with a powerful knight helping lead the way, one that would soon rise to the rank of master and serve on the council to help lead the Jedi to a new age of prosperity, hopefully away from the dogmatic interpretation they had taken on during the long gap between the clone wars and the previous war against the Sith empire.
If Qui-Gon taught him, Anakin likely wouldn't have been on the Dark Side for long. There's even an article about how Qui-Gon would have saved Anakin from the Dark Side.

This is an absolute masterpiece! Anakin could not defeat Sidious in lightsaber combat, so he used his superior medichlorian count to break Palpatine's force protection and incapacitate him with a sith technique, mocking his very existance. In the end, Obi-Wan broke Sidious' plans by not letting Anakin kill the sith lord, and that was unexpected but magnificient. Obi-wan, despite being severely injured, still saved Anakin from falling into the dark completely. Absolute perfection! Love this channel!

Knightfall Vader was a level 9 duelist according to Lucas as well as Yoda and Palpatine, so he could have a chance of beating Palpatine if he was in the state of mind like against Dooku, That Anakin beat Dooku in seconds while Yoda could not defeat Dooku in combat , Even Lucas said that after Anakin lost his limbs he was no longer as strong as the emperor which further confirms that he was on pair with Yoda and Palpatine, but not at the end of RoTS when his mind was fucked up but when he was duelling Dooku , he was in rage but in a controlled one that time while on Mustafar he was getting crazy pretty much

I think this is an ending we all really wanted. Anakin and Padme together and having their children with them. All of this was very viable and well written. Personally, I'm all for this ending. Well done, thank you for this.
I think you really captured Anakins emotions very well. As well as Obi-Wans failure even though it wasn't his failure. Just where he could have helped more. It wasn't perfect but the best fanfiction I have watched through. You really understand Anakin at a level that I feel like I do. A level I don't feel many fans do.
9:34 I LOVE the idea of rogue Sith Anakin so much - still fueled by all the same fury and hate that propelled him to draw upon the dark side of the Force and use it in such twisted and horrific ways, but acting completely of his own volition (instead of just doing whatever Sidious commands of him) to protect those he loves.
Maybe he links up with Ahsoka to do so - she also left the Order no?
I just now came across this. Great edit and story play. Would've loved an Ahsoka mention. Anakin definitely would've been banished. Jedi order would then revisit the whole forbidden love rule as Luke got rid of it later. Maybe it's time for a Star Wars Multiverse where this happened

Haha, love the Snoke burn at the end! I can't remember if you ever did a twist on this where maybe the Emperor defeats Anakin and believes he's dead, but then takes Padme so he can raise the children as apprentices from birth. Palp goes into hiding with them and the Republic is restored, but now Anakin has to travel the galaxy as a Jedi Exile with the guilt of his actions. While he's searching for his family, he's also finding obscure force knowledge to help continue his own training.

That was a timeless story about a boy who was very talented and great with the force, yet impatient and wanted everything done right away his way.
His impatience couple with a lack of discipline made him a prey for those who seek to manipulate and others for their own self benefit.
At some point of great stress in his life, blinded by ego and arrogance he goes down a path he knows to be wrong, and even if he sees the great disgrace of his acts
his lack of knowledge lead him to follow the path, this is where the patience he never had is turning against him.
Finally he is saved by his true love for others...
Somehow... this story captures the exact same path in a shorter way !!! Kudos to you, you now have a new subscriber!!

Would you be willing to do a "What if" for if Obi-wan had believed and heard Dooku out on Geonosis? Would they have teamed up to bring down Palps? Would it have stopped the Clone War? Would Dooku's desire to see the corruption in the Senate and Jedi Order eliminated come to pass? In the end, Dooku originally turned and still wanted to eliminate the hypocrisy and corruption. The corruption that led to the deaths of innocents, the hypocrisy that let Qui-gon die. What would happen?
I love this. we have seen how things play out and result in the original trilogy. I always though an amazing twist would have been going back to that iconic scene of yoda and windu meditating at the temple and yoda coming out of meditation and the orginal trilogy being apart of his prophetic sight and rewriting a whole new timeline.

If the story was to continue it would be something like this.
A dark hooded figure appears before Anakin and Obi-Wan. Staring at the floor, face unseen, with the dark side of the force surrounding him stronger than anyone before... possibly ever. So strong that it would make sidious look like a foot soldier. This feels like the Sith we have been looking for this entire time. This is the sith who used sidious and even plagues. Igniting a crimson red lightsaber in each hand, standing before Anakin and Obi-Wan, he looks up, and utters an evil yet Joyful "Meesa Back!"
Ah yes, Jar Jar Binks, the true Sith Lord of the movies!

I am so thankful that this was made, it has always been the stamp in theory’s journey on RUclips. Remembering it being one of the first fan fictions and falling in love with this story in perticular!!. That was really really well done. My only concern in terms of plot is whether or not Anakin would’ve had to face justice for all the things he did before turning back to the light.

@@johnt1665I think that’s what adds to Anakin not so easily being turned back to the light on mustafar because he on the same day just massacred children. He views himself as having too far gone in what he has done. The only one who saw some good in him left was Padme.
Who is going to arrest him? The jedi?

@@r.alheydaryexactly. His first quote before turning was "What have I done?" when he basically kills Windu. There was no turning back, only forward. Either dark side with Padme (while he thought she was ok and with him) or to be prisoned forever (so no Padme) or be killed (no Padme either).

Personal tiny details aside I think every fan can well and truly agree that if Obi-Wan had not closed off his emotions prematurely, and used all of his wisdom, he could have saved anakin. Another reason the recent obi-wan "I'm sorry anakin...for all of it" hit so very hard. Obi-wan knew that he had and HOW he had fucked up...and he was beyond remorse at that point.

Everyone wants to use both the light and dark side of the force. I'm glad you mentioned how slow and hesitant it is to switch between the two. True power in the force requires clarity of mind and determination. The dark saber is the physical embodiment of that fact.

What I wish would have happened, it would be cool to see Anakin being able to control dark and light side at will, seeing him at the peak of his power. He'd definitely would have a lot of atoning to do but I believe that Obi-wan and Padme would forgive him and love him as they always have. The New Jedi Order would have to look at their old ways fixing the order so the same mistakes don't happen again. Great job with the video, thank you for all the hard work you do!!

I am loving watching these all over again with fresh visuals! I think the ending you had originally could be adjusted, maybe Maul and someone he trained, perhaps taking on a Palpatine-esque role with a sort of First Order under someone like Thrawn. Just an idea.
The order would arrest anakin no way they would give him a chance. Remember what they did to ashoka even though she wasnt guilty..
