Incidentally, 30m/s is about equivalent to the fastest ship on the planet, the HSC Francisco ferry in Hobart. You're moving about 100km/h. In a massive warship.
I'm confused about that... Google does claim that the Francisco is the "fastest ship in the world," but there are military vessels that can go up to 170km/h that we've had since the 80s... What gives?
That can't be right. Even the light rescue boat we have goes 44 knots, and that's just a second hand with a decent amount of heavy gear and 4 people on board. And I've seen people come flying past us if we were gunning it. No way 54 on that ferry is the fastest on the planet. Maybe you got that from a local newspaper or another trashy source that doesn't know a lot about boat design?
In general you're right but the black current submarine from the steel striders would've wrecked martin's shit in because most of his weapon system aren't suited for or cannot hit underwater vessels
Your design needs more internal subdivision to prevent catastrophic progressive flooding like that which almost capsized you fighting the first Megalodon. Add more compartments and air pumps. The prefab dreadnought hull you're using is more than large enough to make a full double bottom, which alone is usually enough to keep it afloat, in my experience anyway. Also provides convenient protected storage spaces for fuel and ammo.
Still impressive. Your design was a solid 2 seconds of "hehe, boat" followed up by another brief flash of "hehe, 3boat" and you made it to the final fight still.

Missiles are the easiest weapon to use by far and are generally effective against easy->medium enemies so you can focus on learning movement. Build the plane second as it gets more technical, the main thing with any of these is to make sure you have your centre of thrust in line with your centre of mass.
