    To the BEST of my knowledge these are the dates of all the Sex Pistols live gigs after Sid Vicious joining the band:
    *1* ) 28th March 77 - Notre-Dame Catholic Church Hall (London, GB - UK) / Sid Vicious debut performance live with the Sex Pistols;
    *2* ) 3rd April 77 - The Screen On The Green (Islington - London, GB - UK)
    *3* ) 7th June 77 - Thames River Boat (River Thames / London, GB - UK)
    *4* ) 15th July 77 - Beach Disco (Halmstad, Sweden) / Scandinavian tour
    *5* ) 16th July 77 - Mogambo Disco (Helsingborg, Sweden) / Scandinavian tour
    *6* ) 20th July 77 - Pingvin Club (Oslo, Norway) / Scandinavian tour
    *7* ) 21st July 77 - Studenter Samfundetiset (Trondheim, Norway) / Scandinavian tour
    *8* ) 23rd July 77 - Barbarellas (Växjö, Sweden) / Scandinavian tour
    *9* ) 28th July 77 - Happy House (Stockholm, Sweden) / Scandinavian tour
    *10* ) 19th August 77 - Club Lafayette (GB - UK) / SPOTS tour
    *11* ) 24th August 77 - Outlook (Doncaster, GB - UK) / SPOTS tour
    *12* ) 26th August 77 - Rock Garden (Middlesbrough, GB - UK) / SPOTS tour
    *13* ) 1st September 77 - The Garden (Penzance, GB - UK) / SPOTS tour
    *14* ) 9th December 77 - De Effenaar (Eindhoven, The Netherlands)
    *15* ) 10th December 77 - Huize Maas (Groningen, The Netherlands)
    *16* ) 11th December 77 - Mafcentrum (Maasbree, The Netherlands)
    *17* ) 16th December 77 - Brunel University (Uxbridge - London, GB - UK)
    *18* ) 19th December 77 - Nikkers Club (Keighley, GB - UK)
    *19* ) 23rd December 77 - The Village (Newport - Shropshire, GB - UK)
    *20* ) 25th December 77 - Ivanhoes (Huddersfield, GB - UK) / a double feature with a matinée performance in the afternoon for children and then another one later at night for a regular audience which were their last 2 gigs in Great Britain;
    ♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠
    * There are recordings of each one of these live gigs where it's easy to listen Sid playing bass;
    ** Both the Great Britain Anarchy tour of 1976 and SPOTS tour of 1977 had many of its dates and venues cancelled due the opposition by the local authorities to having the Sex Pistols playing in their towns;
    ♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠
    NOTE: It was at Ivanhoes in Huddersfield that Sid and Nancy recorded their infamous and rarely seen sex tape which was filmed by Julian Temple being a kind of soft porn & BDSM X rated video;
    ♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠
    Then there's the infamous USA tour of January 78 during which the band imploded breaking up immediately afterwards in 17th January 78...
    These are the Sex Pistols USA tour dates:
    *0* ) 31st December 77 - Elgean Theatre (New York City - New York, USA) / CANCELLED due to problems in getting VISAs to enter the USA;
    *1* ) 5th January 78 - The Great Southeast Music Hall & Emporium (Atlanta, Georgia - USA)
    *2* ) 6th January 78 - Taliesyn Ballroom (Memphis, Tennessee - USA)
    *3* ) 8th January 78 - Randy's Rodeo (San Antonio, Texas - USA)
    *4* ) 9th January 78 - Kingfish Club (Batôn Rouge, Louisiana - USA)
    *5* ) 10th January 78 - Longhorn Ballroom (Dallas, Texas - USA)
    *6* ) 12th January 78 - Cain's Ballroom (Tulsa, Oklahoma - USA)
    *7* ) 14th January 78 - Winterland Ballroom (San Francisco, California - USA)
    ♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠
    The USA tour was originally just supposed to BE a ONE event ONLY gig to take place in Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania, USA) in late December 77 but then it was changed INTO a mini-tour of 11 gigs starting in New York also in late December 77 but eventually it was reduced to just 7 gigs due to difficulties in getting VISAs for the 4 members of the Sex Pistols in time for ALL the dates and venues since Johnny, Paul, Steve and Sid had been previously arrested in GB and had criminal records that prevented them from travelling wherever they wanted without the official authorization of both the british and american authorities!
    ♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠
    After filming some scenes for the movie "The Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle" in Paris (France) and London alongside former Sex Pistols' band members Steve Jones and Paul Cook during the late Spring and early Summer of 1978 as well as recording its OST doing 3 solo cover songs, Sid Vicious gave his ONLY solo gig in London with Glen Matlock, Nancy Spungen, Rat Scabies and Steve New in August 78 under the name Vicious White Kids prior to going to America!
    After arriving in New York Sid also gave at least 3 to 4 solo gigs in Max's Kansas City in September 78 one with a backup band called The Idols featuring Jerry Nolan, Steve Dior and Arthur Kane joined by Mick Jones and Nancy Spungen!
    ♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠
    These are Sid Vicious solo gigs' dates:
    *1* ) 15th August 78 - The Electric Ballroom (Camden - London, GB - UK) / with the Vicious White Kids
    *2* ) 7th September 78 - Max's Kansas City (New York City - New York, USA) / with The Idols + Mick Jones
    *3* ) 28th September 78 - Max's Kansas City (New York City - New York, USA) / with The Idols + Pure Hell
    *4* ) 29th September 78 - Max's Kansas City (New York City - New York, USA) / with The Idols + The Victims
    *5* ) 30th September 78 - Max's Kansas City (New York City - New York, USA) / with The Idols + The Victims
    ♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠
    * Some sources mention a one-off band performance featuring Sid on bass in London and another solo gig in New York City but I couldn't find any credible evidence concerning any of it but neverthless here's the other supposed dates and venues:
    a) *unknown day* February 78 - Speakeasy Club (London - GB, UK) / under the band name Music Industry Casualties with Johnny Thunders on vocals and lead guitar, Sid on bass and other members;
    b) *unknown day* September 78 - CBGB's (New York City - New York, USA) / with... (?)
    ♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠
    # Nancy Spungen died on the 12th October 1978
    ## Sid Vicious died on the 2nd February 1979
    ♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠

    This was a very well done news story, especially considering how level headed and forward looking it was for the time.

    How the fuck could The Pistols EVER outdo the USA for obnoxiousness when the USA are the masters of obnoxious? Haha

    Tom Brokaw and Jane Pauly - you are so disgusting why are you put on the air? This is a great little film and looking back one must laugh. I went to many early punk gigs in Chicago and went up to the periphery of the front where you WOULD get trampled on or hurt because it was mostly guys just bashing themselves around, fighting etc. My sister used to drag me to the front. Best times in my life.

    His disdain for punk and the sex pistols only helps to sell them to young people. it's so funny. He doesn't even realise that Punk is an American creation, not British. It started in NYC then came to the UK via the Ramones.

      The Saints. Radio Birdman, all came before this.It was a worlwide thing about how we were sick of the commercial sound of music.We were over music to a formula equals a hit.The rammones were loved in America ,they were good but not considered a punk band .American's will argue this.Punk was many things as long as it was not commercial. You could listen to rammones music on most radio stations, good music, hardly punk like the Brits or Aussies played it
