Well that had to have been one of the top honors and highlights of James Taylor's life. My God, to be inducted by Paul McCartney, who obviously meant every word he said....
@@onefoot7 Oh, James Taylor is GREAT! He's fantastic. He's barely a footnote in history compared to Paul McCartney, but that's not to dismiss how wonderful James Taylor is.
@@geoffsaplin5167 Don't forget James Taylor was only 19 when he was the first artist signed to Apple Records. George Harrison loved "Something In The Way She Moves" so much that they used that as the first line in their own song, "Something". That's pretty impressive when you've impressed The Beatles.

Remember listening to "Fire & Rain" on the car radio back in 68.
That wouldn't have been til a couple of years after, "Fire and Rain" was first released in 1970.

You're gonna be inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame
Great!
You will get inducted by Paul McCartney

First song he sang to Paul and George was Something in the Way She Moves. One of his best still.
Isn’t it interesting that George later wrote his own Something in the way she moves?
Sir Paul, you Rock❤️❤️

Great speech although I would have love to see that tribute clip for James Taylor.
It's a great clip, but they pulled it (I saw it 15 years ago!!), due to Bullshit copyright....fuckin lawyers
Yes! More James Taylor please, maybe he was on OPRAH...
I didn’t like Paul’s tribute. He didn’t do much to honor James.
Hope to see Sir Paul in concert.
Please comeback to Cleveland.
Would love to see him in concert too, comeback to Cleveland.
Right?

you obviously have not entirely followed JT
Macca lookin' good with the salt and pepper short back n sides.
He inducted James Taylor John Lennon and Ringo Starr
And recently the Foo Fighters
Really nice speach.
Paul gets it..."rock n roll HOF" is a joke, half the people in there aren't rock n rollers (but then a HOF for music is a joke anyway)
What a moment for JT!
Only Paul is deserving of inducting an artist such as JT
I wanted to see the clip
“Before it was a computer...”
how young Paul was 22 years ago
It should be titled “larry bird inducting james taylor in the rock n roll hall of fame”
why?
FGS James was only shown for a few seconds !!
WHY the heck did u end the video??!! The best part was about to happen!
THAT SUCKED!
Paul seems to have inducted a pile of people! All of who probably covet that fact over the actual induction.

Lennon also said Paul’s a good lyricist who doesn’t think he is a good lyricist.
Pop Music Hall of Fame? ok James Taylor...RR Hall of Fame? No way, even James would agree with that.
Not a fan of Paul's hair during this time. It have been his Heather period. For me, he looks best with more hair. Here he looks "scalped."
Wow that's really great to know. Thanks for sharing that with us, I appreciate.
Hair, there and everywhere. Who cares about his hair ??!!! 😄 He's a musician, not s fashion model
Agreed.
I love Paul but we’re talking about James Taylor here, he deserves a much better introduction.
So why not Todd Rundgren?
He went underground so I suppose the industry thinks that he 'betrayed' them.
