I’m laughing at the thought of an actual to scale bug sized pure nail. Like logistically it’s probably be impossible but seeing people try to make it would be entertaining.
Yeah besides the knight is more or less the size of your thumb so the pure nail would be small as heck

You don't need to kill him though. Iirc he even goes to live with Sheo and starts to learn how to paint if you don't kill him

I have an idea for a blacksmith challenge that would really show off creativity. There are anime out there in which the characters summon weapons forged from their own soul. The challenge would be have each smith forge what they think theirs would be. A weapon that they feels reflects them.

@@mj4971 well, if I learned from Little Nightmares 2. They released their demo months back, then the game was released months later. So maybe for Silksong, in theory, maybe several months more?
Don't get me wrong, HK has a massive map and a bunch of side quest and stories. But with this damn virus around, maybe we can expect in a year or so.
Yeah Silksong got delayed by Covid so its gonna be at least a couple months yet

Probably just speculation on my part, but I would think that when the nailsmith is refining the drill nail to the pure nail the reliefs and patterns are forged and layered ontop of the original core. Could be solely because a game mechanic, but when you have to give over extra metal for each refining, the design looks like it is being added onto the previous core of the nail. So you take the old nail, reforge it to the sharpened nail to remove the breaks and dullness, add new metal onto the core to make the channeled nail which has better balance, refined further to the drill nail, then finally adding the magical reliefs to make the pure nail.

When I was a kid and only watched your Epic How To videos I never bothered to properly watch these kinds of videos fully but I watched some other videos like this from your channel and I think it's really cool since I've picked up an interest in swords.

You know, when I heard you guys were making Pure Nail, I kind of assumed you were going to make a new one using Damascus steel, since I always figured that was what the in-game art was trying to portray. That's kind of what I was looking forward to seeing, in fact.
Interesting. I had not thought of it that way but it certainly could have been done. We could have forged Nail down to bar and folded in another material. Ill keep that in mind for other multipart upgrades in the future.
I came here to say this too--I definitely took it as a reforging into Damascus. I still think that the cuts done in this video would work well on a damascus version, but it feels less like what I imagined in this manner
But the name pure nail suggests that its pure pale metal
Do you have any in-game or developer source on that? I've never heard or read, that the pattern of the pure nail should symbolize that of damascus steel. It seemed to me more like an actual engraving.
@@alexis.d.santos i mean, the nailsmith never takes anything from the nail he just adds stuff. Like the sharpening amd the channel and the spiral.

It would probably be very difficult to make, but do you think you could try to make the Monado from xenoblade chronicles? you could probably paint or etch blue metal to use since the actual blade is basically light, and it would be a really cool blade to see function

It would be cool to see a sword from Destiny. Raze-Lighter/Dark-Drinker/Bolt-Caster (three different swords built off one base frame) are iconic, but there's also swords like Falling Guillotine or The Lament, which are just as cool if slightly impractical
