After that intro I'm fairly certain. I'm doing a podcast with an insane person.
Lol he weighed up if he should google the intro 'oh-no's' and paste the sound bite... but opted for the 'let's sing it it will come out fine' option.
I mean, you're Belgian no? To a Belgian everyone's insane.
I agree your concerns are valid!
Hilarious 😂
And it was at this moment you knew you… 🤣🤣
1:27 The way Pippo Ganna stuffs the cake in his face and then chews it in perfect rhythm with his pedal stroke is therapeutic.
Monke vibes
Watching pros eat, drink, and change clothes while racing along is a beautiful part of the racing skillset. The jacket change always makes me nervous.
Strong ride by Jonas Vingegaard; First pacing, then following an attack, then pacing for over 3k, then dripping back to get WvA up to the front and then leading WvA out. Wow.
All true. But he did run out of gas in the leadout and flicked Wout through very early. Meanwhile Wout must've been half dead, having gone over his limit towards the end of the climb. Evidently no energy left for a bike throw 😂
What an insane team JV have - how many TDF podium potential riders do they have?
@@adamarchie Big fail for wout, yeah, but he has practiced his sprinting ability lately and not the climbing ability that much, have I heard.
Every now and then this happens....I love it....nice to see WvA could laugh about it afterwards!
Better here than in July...
@@CooroSnowFox yep....he will take the green jersey along with a stage at least.....and he will be fighting an Epic battle with MvdP in july!!!!
Just picturing what Mrs Rouge's reaction was to her husband recording the intro to this video and thinking the altitude must have finally ruined this poor aussy mans brain
Lanterne, get yourself out of Andorra bro!
6:34 It was Daniel McLay's sprint at the 2016 GP de Denain you were looking for, that sprint was absolutely mental.
Vuillermoz has always breathed like this, opening and closing his mouth like a fish. I remember a TV commentator saying that he had a crash when he was young which damaged his nose and his ability to properly breathe through it, but I can't find anything on it online
Also, Ayuso and McNulty don't really look alike? Is LR turning into Carlton Kirby?
Yeah he also won the 2015 TDF stage while breathing like this.
@@Mxrobius what stage
@@littlefinger5812 Mur de Bretagne, 5sec ahead of Dan Martin and 10sec ahead of riders like Valverde/Sagan/Gallopin/GVA...
It's a velopharyngeal insufficiency, so when he exhales, some goes through his nose. That becomes a problem because when exhaling during large efforts, the point of exhaling through the mouth is to help regulate body temperature. The air not totally expunging or expunging doesn't reduce lung efficiency, as there's still plenty of oxygen left in an exhale, even for elite athletes, it's just to aid with cooling the body.
It's like these riders don't know that the photographers will snap them celebrating just after they cross the line with a clear victory
Us brisbanites appreciate your fortitude valley references Mr Rouge. Keep ‘em coming :)
Legit
It seems Alexis Vuillermoz was taught this breathing technique. He actually lost the ability to breath through his nose several years ago following a serious mountain bike crash.
Pure class from Wout. He offered no excuses and acknowledged his embarrassment.
this intro 😅
I hate early post-ups, even successful ones. Unless you're way ahead, just ride hard to the line. I'm so happy every time this happens.
Van Aert understood Gaudu was going past him anyway, so did not attempt a futile bike throw and celebrated 2nd place
Gangster sprint by Gaudu 😎
Ungentlemanly to spoil another man’s celebration like that.
5:15 "UAE had two riders"
This is UAE you're talking about, not exactly a team renowned for cooperation and teamwork this year
This account man! I think it's really the main driver for my rediscovered passion for cycling.
It's just amazing :D Please keep on doing, what you are doing
I cant believe the difference in coolness between Guadu in the raybans compared to the specs he has on in his UCI rider photo at 7:37 🤣
I think he needs very thick glasses for his vision, and the sunnies are custom made
I'd ROCK those prescription sunnies. "Do you see the big E." ..... "What big E."
@@smeetsnoud1 yep, Julbo Ultimate frame with integrated prescription lenses 👌🏼
Intro 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm happy to see Gaudu get a win but man, I really feel for WVA, can't believe he did an Alaphilippe 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Vuillermoz has a weird breath method because a crash he had years before that make him struggle to use his nose to breath
Wout did an Alaphilippe
Instead of bike throw, Wout went for the wingspread Jesus Christ Pose. Bold move. Kruijswijk with some exemplary work btw. Again.
Wout went full Alaphilippe, never go full Alaphilippe
7:05 great commentary hahaha 👌
"Kinda scared me" lmao
Thanks!
Gaudu beating Van Aert in a bunch sprint...in wayfarers
Sponsor is like "I don't care if you win or not. Just make sure our name is in frame when you cross the line!"
These videos are a class act!
Loved your Fortitude Valley comment...:) (from a fellow Brisbanite)
Vingegaard was amazing today, a shame it ended up that way but kinda funny
Intro caught me out of nowhere 🤣
That title is just spot on 😂😂😂
Look forward to seeing it
"are they ray ban sunnies?!" lmaoooo
Love the intro !!!
love the Fortitude Valley reference
That intro was the greatest😆😆🤣🤣
The fortitude valley had me in stitches 🤣
LOVED that
4 riders of B&B Hotels in the break, not 3! 😁
BrisVegas thanks you for taking the Valley to the people 🙌
The reference to Fortitude Valley had me ☠️
Mans thought he was gonna be Jumbo, but he didn't Vizma the guy next to him.
Lets gooo, Pierre Rolland hype train is setting off!
Fortitude Valley mention - ah, a fellow of culture you must be, LR!
Ha nice reference to the valley!
Wout: "Look ma, no hands..."
Удачи 🎉🎉🎉
You can see why his confidence would be sky high after taking the bunch sprint in stage 1 and 2, but stupid post up is stupid
Love the Slomo voice
Well, now dearest Wout (who is human after all, lol), has a most-embarrassing moment that nearly matches but is not nearly as disastrous as MVDP's fail in the MTB Olympics. These guys are endless entertainment! 💙🧡
Shades of 2004 sanremo erik zabel v oscar freire
vuillermoz: "...I AM FISHE I AM FISHE OM NOM NOM"
Супер ребята
"gone out in fortitude valley and had too much of a good time" as a fellow Brisvegas'ian - I am dead
LR finally drops the Elizabeth Holmes-Theranos low voice and lets his real voice slip.
When you win as much as WVA this will happen.
WVA made a mistake by Waiting for Gaudu.
Huge shoutout to Fortitude Valley
0:00 thanks, my ears are bleeding now
that is called celebrating before time, more precisely, mm from crossing the finish line
WVA leaned back Gadau threw the bike forward WVAs long arms and legs would have been more than half a wheel probably and taken the stage
Is Froome going for GC I doubt it right? I assume he's just testing his level to see what he can do in the mountains, I think the team goal was stage wins iirc.
Damn, could have been interesting to ser what Vingegaard could have done on his own, but still a good team effort
No way was Jonas gonna win that stage. Look how early he flicked Wout through.
@@adamarchie If he'd gone for his own result, then he wouldn't have to pull for so long, wouldn't have to bring Van Aert back to the front, wouldn't have to lead him out and with all that conserved extra energy he could've sprinted, couldn't he?
@@andrew7taylor If he hadn't pulled for so long there would have been so many attacks so no way to know
Never celebrate tooo early
Велосипед это круто 👍
What happend with Mark Padun tho? won two stages last year… changed team? is it really that big of a difference?
he's ukrainian so maybe there's something going on idk
No special Bahrein pasta sauce 🍝
Just kidding, I have no clue
He's pulling a Hirschi. Go on a tear for a few months and disappear back into the mist for a while til the heat is off and the team lets you back off the leash.
I don’t know what reaction ist better: van aert or gaudu
Definitely LR's singing
Can´t be one without the other... Rgr
Good
MIssed that uphill headwind. That brought back attacks as much as the group.
Feels bad man
😂😃🤣😆😹 that intro
Супер
Poor Grmay attacked and then promptly got absolutely swamped 2:46
Vingegaard could probably have taken it today
finally someone with ray bans winning. I love it
Gaudu has glasses on for the team pic. Perhaps those are prescription sun glasses.
Wout was only looking to his left hand side, not seeing that someone could come from his right hand.
Il doping dove lo mettiamo?
Its like an alternate ending to The Karate Kid.
@7:24 is that a wheel??
ROFL at that thumbnail!
Молодец
👍✌
Hot take: I think Gaudu would've had him anyways..
he said in his post race interview that he was already ahead before Wout raised his arms
Респект
Здорово
Oh no no no no no
Where's pogacar these days?! Tdf prep?
That stock image of Gaudu at 7:37 is an absolute stitch up.
He needs one with the sunnies!
Don't worry Wout. I'm sure it won't be played for years on every TV show when discussing what can happen when celebrating too early.......No. wait!!!
Still probably would have lost with that throw.
I mean, what a bike throw! His front wheel was over the finish line when his body was still in the middle of the climb.
I think if WVA carries through and does a good bike throw, he might still win that...
😎😎😎
lanterne to compete in Eurovision for Girona
Comforting to know that Wout's human and makes mistakes, too. Hats off to him and David Gaudu, though. I think we know that the Dauphine belongs to Wout.
Classic cars
Nice Brisbane reference, Fortitude Valley is still a foul den of iniquity, nothing new there.
Ubforgivable! van art owes his whole team a round at the bar.
