Hey bro, thanks for the info, so now i have the air unit and the goggles, i have a frsky qx7s controler. Let me see if i got it on what else i need. 1) The holybro HDV Stack 2) The frame 3) The receiver for the frsky 4) 4s lipo and charger ...thats it? I will be very gratefull for a step by step build for this quad.
Drone Mesh Hello 👋, I have this stack already but I have 2 questions. Fisrt, if it doesn’t comes with osd, how can I see and setup my peripherals for GPS? Also, if I use 5 or 6s lipo what’s gonna happen? Please help me out thanks 😊
Just an FYI the B+ and B- are actually full battery power, i tried using them for the buzzer and they did not work. On the manual it says you actually have to use the Z- and the 5v by the LED like you mentioned. 👍
@@Hohmies86 You'd have to drill holes further up if you wanted a 30x30 stack. Apparently there's not enough room for the air unit at the back unless you modify the frame or use a 20x20. I just picked up an ImpulseRC HD Apex. No camera cage but it is purpose built for the DJI system and has a great antenna mounting solution.
Pretty solid video. Concise and very easy to follow. One thing you kept mentioning is, it has no OSD. So how do I get to know, for instance, the battery levels on my quad? What's the workaround?
I probably won’t use this flight controller ever but it’s nice to know that DJI is allowing us to use other software on the controller . Before we had to use only there’s. cheers dude. I do like the info I get from your vids .
Hey. I just wanted to know if i can use 6s battery with this build up directly. I understood that the dji air unit only allows up to 4s, but if the pdb can handle up to 6s...now there`s my doubt. Thx for the review, i`m really thinking of doing this build up
You missed something. RTFM. The pads left and right from the lipo pads are for 2 capacitors that actually come with the Furling 4in1. Must use when connecting 6S lipo.
Does it have OSD if you use it with the DJI headset and camera? DJI can't possibly expect us to pay nearly a thousand for all the matched gear to not have basic readouts like RSSI, Voltage, mAh etc. 🤔
How would I wire this stack up with the DJI air unit but using Crossfire for control link? Also does the arrow have to point forward. I don't think it will fit in my frame like that. (At least the ESC part of the stack wont because of battery leads). Thanks!
Hello, what firmware installed in that fc? I am having vibration on mine on a 6 inch quad. There are a lot of firmware to choose on Betaflight such as the KAKUTE F7 ( Legacy ) (HBRO ) and there’s KAKUTE F7 V2 (Legacy ) and V2 ( HBRO ), I’m confused with these firmwares. Which one supposed to be installed on KAKUTE F7 HDV mainly for Dji system?
I've been building this since yesterday but couldn't get it to arm. I flashed the firmware to STM32F405 latest version but now the ports and everything are gone. Cannot calibrate gyro either. Could someone let me know what is the correct target to flash in Betaflight so I can undo my changes. Thanks!
Since it doesn't have OSD, the FC and VTX don't interact at all. It's "compatible" with the DJI Air Unit only because of the convenient JST connector. You can use whatever VTX you want, as long as you use the soldering pads.
Hello I need some serious help. I just purchased the kakute F7 HDV, for use with my DJi digital fpv system. I am having trouble connecting the transmitter to the fpv air unit on the drone. The user manual does not seem to include the “hdv” specifics. I have tried every uArt port and have selected serial RX, but the board still will not recognize the DJi unit. I have the DJi unit connected using easy plug in the f7 board. I also have sBus selected. I am on Betaflight 4.04. Can you help? Thanks so much!
Dji should bring out there own betaflight. With flight controller and everything else I guess it's only a matter of time. I just wish they would hurry up.
Until DJI enable video out via that Usb-c port, it's worthless to me. I've got a bad feeling they won't, so they can sell their 'racing base station's.
My comment was made out of pure frustration. The fact that I lack the computer skills to complete my drone, is no ones fault but mine. holy to products are indeed some of the best. Please accept my sincere apologies.

Hellmuth silva marmotte seems to have a nice layout to hold the air unit

Can you use this stack directly with 6s batteries with the dji fpv unit? As I heard it only supports 4s. Thanks
Look for answer to the same question! :)

Great video. I've seen folks get use the Armattan Marmoutte frame, but see the appeal of a bolt in frame too. Super interesting fc without osd

Anybody get this answer yet?

So now that DJI supports OSD, would this flight controller with no analog OSD system disable DJI's OSD support?
yeah i would love to know. i mean what sencedoes a current sensor make if you cant see it in the googles??
Nice for those who want the absolute cleanest installation.
Pretty sweet looking stack, dude! 😃

The batery voltage out puts on esc are sweet
How do you turn that on and get it on screen?
Thanks Rick

Will FRSKY PPM work with this flight controller?

Are you using the DJI transmitter? If so all you have to do is go to dji tutorial channel
Turns out i didn’t have the firmware updated for the air unit/controller lol
Brother can you review brother hobby t7 4215 motor i haven't seen no reviews
Nice info. Thanks. No GPS ...???
No flight controller comes with GPS you just add it to the Rx and Tx pads if the GPS has magnetometer then those will be on scl and sda

Thanks.

drone mesh, do you know if the dji system can take 4s vbat directly?
Yeah it's rated for 4s. Should be good. Range is from a little over 17 Volts so it's above the 16.8V 4s limit.
