- This video is to demonstrate how to install the basic steering box brace by Mountain Vista Fabrication. There are 2 options, the original, and the ultimate. This video is for the standard brace, however, the ultimate brace install will be very similar, with a couple extra steps.

Nice job. I installed mine about a year ago and did the same thing and made a custom lower hose.

I should have done this when I replaced my sway bar bushings.
It made a world of difference, on my 300k miles steering box. MVF also offers an ultimate edition, that adds a bearing on the bottom of the steering shaft and makes it even more solid. Definitely worth the money.
How tight are those bolts that clamp around the steering box? Like hammer em' on or . . .?
Grade 8 bolts. Snug then a 1/4 turn worked well for me.

i have bigger tires in mine but no lift and i have death wobble, how do i get rid of the wobble
Trac bar is #1 cause of death wobble - next would be worn steering parts, such as tie rods.
Did you notice any improvement in the steering?
It definitely has a firmer, more responsive feel. Especially on my gear box with 322k on it.
Start with ultimate from the beginning, why buy something twice 😅
