"This redhead, it feels so much tighter. It's definitely worth it".
They're my favorite.
👍😉
😂😂
I have two of them...one under the hood and one in the passenger seat.
I've used redhead for years. They are produced just a few hrs away from me. Totally worth it!!!
Thanks for always making good recommendations.. Ill be doing this upgrade on my WJ soon 😀
Knock on Jeep, the steering box on my '99 WJ is good at 270,000 mi. However, most of that was as a commuter rig. Now with a lift, 33's, and diminishing common sense, I might need one sooner than later. Good info on the Redhead gear box.
I put a RED HEAD steering box on my 95 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 5.2 V8 with over 332000 miles on it now my steering is tight I also replaced the steering pump from NAPA also hoses and my core charge back with in a week or so very satisfied.
Thank You for the information ✅🇺🇸
You bet💪
Hey great information as usual but do you still have the video you took of my jeep brother
I’ll have to Check😂 I’m sure it’s somewhere on my phone I’ll get to it if I find it
I did a factory replacement one on my last WJ with no issues but the WJ I have now the steering has a little play. So should I swap the gear box or inner and outer tie rods?
I did the same thing and have the same exact issue. I heard “adding shims” to your gearbox would help with play. Havent looked into it though
@@dagucc7109 shims?!

Last weekend I was working on mine because I have been trying to track down a death wobble issue. I changed out the gearbox with one from O'Reilly. It helped alot but the wheel still moved alot. All the steering is new and tight but the wheel moves alot (play).
The track bar bolts had 1/16" - 1/8" play on both ends. New gussets with new holes welded in and she's tight like a virgin. It's back to new and the play is super minimal.
Those F'd up track bar bolt holes F'd up EVERYTHING else from the violent DW.
@dagucc7109 could just adjust it at the top if theres no output play, just only from the wheel to the box

Yeah I adjusted mine. I replaced EVERYTHING on the front of my WJ. It did need it, but nothing fixed my death wobble.
I finally gave up and towed it to my friend's race car alignment shop. He said to not even unload it... it's the tires. I bought tires and that fixed it FINALLY.
Do you have that grill for sale bro?
No it’s from Excessive Design
