Excuse me, is the green Seat yours?
What exactly did you do to it to have such performance? Also, if I wanted to get similar performance out of an MK3 León Cupra 280... What would you suggest me to upgrade?
First of all it's a VR6 with a big turbo also it's been converted to AWD its around 605 at the wheels!
Take care with the tuned Seats, if they are good without any tuning ... with a stage 2 or 3 could beat some serious cars.
Seat is not the most beautiful car but if you like driving ... try one.

SEAT Leon 1P is based on same platform as VW Golf MK5/6 Audi A3 8P. I used the Haldex from a Audi S3 8P for the AWD conversion so all is VAG related. :)
Well its not so light. as FWD and Manual the Cupra is 1475kg.
I have measured mine to 1820 with full tank me in it now after AWD conversion.
Before Conversion 1670kg with all other mods. But then i have quite much extra in and on the car so no lightweight build in anyway.
It's just a nice Daily driver with all i want a car to have :)

as OEM it was BWJ with K04.
But last year when this video was taken with GTX3071R it was.63A/r and fully built engine. check my build thread at seatcupra forum..
Now it is rebuilt again and will be fine tuned for bigger AR on turbo ported head Catcams etc Hope that will give something :)
I think there is also a version with Haldex for the rear axle but i can be wrong.
the old Leon (my favorite) on the golf mk4 platform had all wheel drive with haldex

uhu, anyway my favorite was the old cupra on the stronger
golf mk4 platform but that's my personal taste.
This cupra has a newer smaller more agile and lighter platform.
I guess the platform isn't even VAG but from opel/steyr/fiat like ford fiesta opel corsa and fiat punto. (i guess)
did you convert it with a haldex from the golf ?

You are wrong mate... Check wikipedia and you will see that Seat is from Spain, Catalonia, Martorell... But Seat uses pieces of grupe VAG.

If you have the chance park it next to a fiesta or a punto of someone you know and compare the wheelbase and all it's pillars.
if they match .
But i searched and i found that it's based on the "PQ35 platform from the golf 6"
So it could be the design borrowed from fiat bult on a vag platform.
Anyway it is an awesome car specially after you made it all wheel drive !

No there is no SEAT Leon 1P 2006+ that is AWD. Old Leon Yes but not new. I have Converted this to AWD by my self :)

But I still see a Seat Leon and a Porsche 911 Turbo. The dream is to own a 911 Turbo, not a Seat Leon. The Seat could have 1000 BHP, it's still a Leon with the price of a 911 Turbo spent on tuning it. I'd much rather open the garage door and be greeted with a 911 Turbo! I wouldn't want to drive the Seat as a daily, the guy must be hardcore!

I had a leon cupra from 2008 to, its true you can make is 4wd.
fwd with over 300 hp is hopeless.
it's not a 996 turbo .
Give me the porshe and keep the seat.

It's nice to see everyday drivers tuned up. I've had a 911 996 and currently a Cupra, they are so much fun in their own right. Cupra is more fun imo down country lanes. But put your foot down in the turbo and fuck me it doesn't stop screaming for more! :)
