I enjoyed watching your video. I visited Kirkstall Abbey about 20 years ago. My 2nd great grandparents, Isaac and Martha Hillas, lived in Headingley in the 1890s/1900's, and they used to wander around the ruins of Kirkstall Abbey. Isaac would hide in dark corners and then jump out at Martha to scare her.
Happy birthday 🎉🌈! Thanks Matt I enjoyed the tour round, not heard of many of the ghost stories before. It’s an absolutely breathtakingly stunning abbey. I’ve visited it many times over 2 decades ago as I used to live along Kirkstall road, but not since, so it was great to reminisce. I do believe it’s in Kirkstall though, not Headingley 😊
Been here a few times. I love to just sit in the cloisters. Even when busy and full of screaming kids I can still find peace and tranquility in places like this and I'm not a believer in god or religion.
My fiends and I went here at night years ago (10 people). We ALL saw a figure stood at the very top of the Abbey. We looked again and it had disappeared. Shit ourselves and all ran off
@shadowhaunter things like that stay with you forever. I was quite sceptical before these videos started but have had two of my own whilst filming. Sadly, I couldn't catch them on camera.
@@matparks08 Yeah we wouldn't have even thought to get our cameras out at the time, we were only 17 and scared to death haha - nice talking and happy ghost hunting!
Hello Mat, I once filmed the dig there when they uncovered the communal latrines at kirkstall , lol I thought that you might be interested into looking into Samuel Fielden who came from Tod en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_Fielden Love your work x
Thank you 😊 how long ago since they found those? It's good to film history....even latrines! 😅 Fielden's a good shout actually....I'll gather a bit more info and stick him on my list. Cheers, all the best 🙂 x
Certain properties of stones and stonework enable residual 'recordings' to manifest through some process not yet understood by science. Particularly quartz-bearing rock faces/quarries and buildings. Pressure on the quartz creates a plasma energy known as piezoelectricity. Certain intelligent energies then use the plasma to manifest quite possibly everything from the spirits of dead humans to things most certainly not human.

Certainly food for thought. Thanks for that, and for watching 🙂
