@drip6z It’s 3 minutes per clip. So if you record a clip, the recording will stop after 3 minutes unless you stop it first. When the recording stops, you can record another clip straight away for up to 3 minutes. Rinse and repeat.

I hope they introduce a feature where the glasses can continuously record for a set number of seconds. Microsoft implemented a similar function in their Xbox, where you could say "Record that," and it would save the last few seconds of gameplay. This feature was great for capturing unexpected and memorable moments. It really helped players preserve some fantastic experiences.
I have had them for months now. I love them. I have them for POV shots in collab with me x4 and OP3. The reframe 16:9 is usable in some situation. 1min recoding limit was ideal but the updated 3min is very much welcomed.
About the glasses falling off: funnily enough, I literally just helped my mum with the exact situation with a pair of glasses, and that's getting silicone grips that slide onto the arm of the glasses and hold them up behind your ear. They're very cheap on the bay of Es, and my mum was rather chuffed, haha.

Regarding size: while Ray-Ban only offer the Meta Wayfarers in medium and large the Meta Headliners are available in a "Low Bridge Fit". The description on their website states: "A good choice if eyewear tends to slide down your nose, sit too low, or press on your temples or cheeks."
I purchased these and I love them. They do everything and beyond what my expectations were but the one shortcoming is I wore these to a tennis tournament in Indian Wells California during March and they would not work because of the heat. I got an error message saying the glasses were too hot. I contacted Meta and Rayband And they both confirmed that the sunglasses were not work, if it is too hot that's an oxymoron isn't it? Sunglasses not working in the heat but at the end I really enjoy wearing them to the point. I was wearing them today.
Love your work Tamara.. I'm just so put off my Meta and its policy to steal all publicly posted content to train their Ai systems i don't think I'll ever be able to buy/use their products. Especially seeing giving access to all your contacts. I'm wanting no Meta in my life rather than giving them more access to my life by wearing them on my face.
I know how you feel. Personally, I don't use any of the 'smart' features. I merely use them for BT music/podcasts while out, as sunglasses, and quick photos & videos. I never gave it access to my contacts, or anything. Just BT.
@BillyKzz I agree, I have zero use for the camera/video aspect. I have the Echo frames (3rd generation) and love them. Battery lasts all day for me and I love the convenience of having a earbud experience without letting everyone around me hearing my music. If rayban ups the Battery I may check them out next generation.
I think people are expecting some revolutionary thing out of these glasses. I love mine. Only thing I agree with is the camera placement could’ve been better, but these things are good money to me. I’ve been having a blast with them. Also I just ordered my prescription lenses so I can use them daily.

Hey! I just got my pair today, super excited and your review was amazing!!! If you have an eye doctor, they may be able to help you with the issue where the glasses slip by rounding down the part behind your ears. Mine did it and it helped the fit so much! (I bought my Meta Glasses directly from the eye doctor so the adjustment was free, but they might charge you for yours. They did it in the office just like for regular glasses though!)
Tamara, I am very grateful that you have done this review of the glasses, from a true content creator's point of view. I have been hlding out to get a pair of these, mainly to use when i'm djing, to capture footage, from my own POV, to add with my OP3 footage. Now I may reconsider, mainly due to the record time, as 3 minutes isn't a lot for me, when doing a set. Looking forward to future updates they do, as I'll reconsider buying them.

I love the idea of smart glasses but I find the side camera frustrating. Why not place it on the nose bridge? That makes total sense, surely? I can only assume that there is a technical reason not to. I just know that this detail would irritate me too much, plus not having access to the full features means I won't be purchasing yet. But I love the idea and I look forward to the future of smart glasses!
3:25 i had the same thought (i have them as well) the image/video is a little to cropped, they should allow it to be more fish eyed and just allow us to crop it as we see fit later on.
Does it use gyro flow, whats the stabilization like, I notice a limp whenever you walk, but on a different level, its a nice pair of glasses , nice vid, nice personality.
I’m not sure if mine is set up differently, but I think I have the default settings. I just tap the side of the glasses once to have it listen, and then start asking it questions. There’s no need to say Hey Meta, or use a separate listening device.
I love mine. I am in the USA and I have to say the full AI experience is quite good. I am getting them fitted with prescription transition lenses. The camera is more of an eye for me for the AI, but if I had one feature request it would be horizontal video. The audio is good also. Once they are no longer sunglasses I will use the for meeting calls and such. Hopefully at the Meta event in September they will introduce some new features.
Just got a pair. Wish I’d seen your video first, but the outcome would have been the same. Keeper. I’ve got transitions so it expands the usage range. I like the ability to always have a camera to hand without messing around with a phone. I also wish we had AI, but hopefully we will get it. Also your optician should be able to put in prescription transitions

Good review and I'd agree with most of what you said. I put foam pads on the bridge and these help to stop them sliding down. I just haven't found any pads that will last longer than a few days yet. I'm in the uk and they did enable the "look and... " to mine with the recent update with the 3 minute clips.

Am I correctly understood your review, that new glasses can change size of picture from 3×4 to 18×9 (cinema mode)? And can record video 3 minutes ? These options works immediately or user need to put it ON somewhere in editions? I just bought my glasses one week before new colours was presented. But my glasses is too black mate. I would get these anyway, but they don't make prism lenses for them unfortunately and I have to have them. Also my left eye is a -6.25 and it's too high for their lenses anyway since they only go up to a -6.00.
i got mine from ebay. All the feature works except switching to camera glasses when live streaming via ig or fb. Tried every trouble shooting tips but nothing works, it just won't let me use the camera of the glasses to live stream.
I like them! Though, I don't use any of the smart features. I feel like I'm 'connected' enough as it is, with my iPhone and Apple Watch constantly on me. So I never bother with the "Hey, Meta...." stuff. I solely use them for bluetooth music/podcasts, and taking photos and videos - and sunglasses, obviously. They're perfect for grabbing a quick shot of something, without having to fiddle with getting my phone out of my pocket, and swiping to camera mode, etc etc. Let alone taking something out of my backpack. I was recently in Japan, and got surrounded by crows wanting some food in a park. The glasses were perfect for quick shots and clips, as a simple tap on the arm could get me recording. Despite having me surrounded, they were skiddish. If I had to get out my phone, and fiddle with it, I'm sure many of them would've left. They're actually great sunglasses too! Though, I felt limited as only being able to use them in bright conditions, so I ordered a pair of transitions that automatically get dark or whatever in sunlight. But I've not been back to the States to pick them up yet. I'll probably sell this sunglasses-only pair.

I didn’t even know they were a thing 😮 I’ll try that. With the battery, it’s hard to say because I tend to put them back in the case when I’m not using them as I just use them for short periods of time, then I put them on charge when I get home. However, I think I had them on at one point for an hour and they still had juice.

One thing that I was wondering but havent heard anyone speak on which maybe you could help me know more, is there a stitch option. What I mean, is there an option to do like instagram stories, or snapchat, where I record what I have done through the day, and the app will put all those together so that I could save all in one video?
So when with the kids which camera has been the most enjoyable or captured the best footage without you having to be intentional or ultra present with your filming?
Definitely the Insta360 X4, mainly because I get to be in the shots as well 🥹 Plus I can choose angles and framing in post. It definitely allows me to be more present rather than focused on filming.

I've had my wayfarer for about two weeks..it paused my video but kept the audio..they hurt the back of my head behind my ears but I love them..switching to skyler
I wanted to get these, but decided not to. Insurance only covered a little bit and I just was worried about the weight of the frames. Glad they did increase the video time that was another reason I was reluctant to get them.
Oh cool! I’ve been using mine so much more recently, I like them more and more each day now that they fit so much better, and I can wear them all the time.

Just a small comment. You can record up to 3 minuts now. Great sunglasses, i just got the wayfarer model. I found a way to get the new AI working outside US 😉 No you do not have et travel to the states (that is an option) if you start over in the app and connect to a vpn after you have connected the glasses, the AI works. That's it 😁 now you just say "hey Meta, look and tell me what you see" That is so cool and usefull
They are a good for listing to music but they differ need more on my speaker but good for listing too music but nothing like up ear buds or pods differently need more in electronics on them
Is it me or are the file sizes of the videos really large! I found that exporting the clips to my iPhone ate up my memory so much that I had to upgrade my iCloud storage. 🤨 I have decided to return it as the size I got didn't fit properly and can't seem to get a size that fits properly. what. shame.

I’ve had nothing but success with mine, I now have 2 pairs and just purchased the new skylar for my wife. Full Ai here in USA works amazingly well.

You can't see the light when you're wearing them though. It's a heads-up so people know that you're filming, which I think is valid.

What worked for me is to use Pixel watch as my assistant with the Meta glasses. Meta AI just isn't near Google assistant yet

One thing that I was wondering but havent heard anyone speak on which maybe you could help me know more, is there a stitch option. What I mean, is there an option to do like instagram stories, or snapchat, where I record what I have done through the day, and the app will put all those together so that I could save all in one video?
So when with the kids which camera has been the most enjoyable or captured the best footage without you having to be intentional or ultra present with your filming?
Definitely the Insta360 X4, mainly because I get to be in the shots as well 🥹 Plus I can choose angles and framing in post. It definitely allows me to be more present rather than focused on filming.

Hey, soon google will have glasses like that with Google Gemini AI XR (project Astra) on it, make it that new definition of intelligent glasses.
I wanted to get these, but decided not to. Insurance only covered a little bit and I just was worried about the weight of the frames. Glad they did increase the video time that was another reason I was reluctant to get them.
I just bought the Skyler version today and they fit so much better than the Wayfarer. Definitely worth checking out.

Just a small comment. You can record up to 3 minuts now. Great sunglasses, i just got the wayfarer model. I found a way to get the new AI working outside US 😉 No you do not have et travel to the states (that is an option) if you start over in the app and connect to a vpn after you have connected the glasses, the AI works. That's it 😁 now you just say "hey Meta, look and tell me what you see"

They are a good for listing to music but they differ need more on my speaker but good for listing too music but nothing like up ear buds or pods differently need more in electronics on them
Is it me or are the file sizes of the videos really large! I found that exporting the clips to my iPhone ate up my memory so much that I had to upgrade my iCloud storage. 🤨 I have decided to return it as the size I got didn't fit properly and can't seem to get a size that fits properly. what. shame.
