I guess there was a little error in the example you gave between ethenol (vinyl alcohol) and ethanal (acetaldehyde). The correct type of isomerism should be tautomerism (or keto enol isomerism, to be specific) since both can readily interconvert to each other. Again, with regards to the "dextro" and "levo" forms of an optically active compound, it can only be determined experimentally and not merely from rotating the structure of the compound.
