Once I really realized how badly my jumping habit was affecting my 1v1's, and stopped doing it, I instantly noticed an improvement in my K/D. (mid-high diamond)
I still ream myself out for jumping often lol, D4/D5

@@shawnthomas2274 I went into Academy and just fought bots for 20 minutes or so and just refused to jump. Helped out pretty quickly.

Hey, Shyway, I was wondering if it'd be feasible to edit in a snapshot of a top-down view of the map during each breakdown. You could probably get it done by doing a screenshot of the Shotcall app, and it'd really add to the video. A lot of people would benefit from seeing how Halo is chess with guns, and having the top-down view of the map would really boost your video quality!

I just started playing halo, my shot is pretty decent usually have the best accuracy in the lobby averaging between 50-60% but I do make a lot of mistakes. so happy to find your channel to explain the ‘deeper’ parts of halo 🙏 doing gods work sir
This really made me want to critique my game, I recently got to diamond 1 after playing through plat. I was onyx in season 1 trying to get my groove back.

I think reload timing is hard. How do you balance reloading too much and being caught running out of bullets? I think reloading somewhere around 6-7 shots left if there is no one around

Great video as always man! But do you have a video on grenades how they work and how to bounce them to get the damage you need? I’m comfortable with it but ya know others may not. At about 5:40 seconds in you do a grenade bounce of a ramp into top “A” door and it’s something Im definitely gonna use! It was 100% brilliant

I like to get competitive, but I don’t know if it’s conection or my aim, I usually get blanks or can’t hit the last headshot.

Sounds like a connection issue bro? If your D2/3 you can definitely shoot.
The blanks could just be the lobby you’re in, do you play with “connection monitoring” on? If you have high ping you’ve got to anticipate the delay when you’re fighting, pretty shoddy advice but Halo is so inconsistent server to server
@@donkonit Yes, If i have a good ping, its around 38 ms(lowest I can get with ethernet), but half of the games are between 50ms and 80ms
I’d recommend screen capturing or clipping those moments you believe you got a blank and watching it back the next day in a new mindset. I started doing this and was greatly surprised but how none of them were actually blanks, just insanely close shots that missed.
Acknowledging this helped me take control of it and my emotions (no longer getting tilted which only makes you play worse) while gaming and improve my accuracy tremendously.

These r great tips I can definitely use this to my advantage for this map or any map really, I know this isn’t tips for winning or anything but I notice I lose matches a lot and a lot of the time I notice that my team mates push too much, like they r too committed to eliminating the enemy players instead of playing for the obj, I find myself a little too committed a few times when I’m chasing someone who is one shot but I found out that if I just back up and take a min to look at my surroundings I could have a better play or just go to the obj if it’s open while the opponent is weak, always working/looking to improve myself and this video gave a great insight for many of us

i don't understand how to progress in this game , there such a huge gap in players for a given level (D1) , i get to play with goldstyle dude who have no clue what they are doing , or with full com masters.
gets me so mad i end up killing them all to breath during the ban.
How can i get comfortable to having the reticle at eye level? I have a problem with not being able to strafe and since i'm bad a keeping the reticle up i always nade floors or shoot more lower body shots. I have concluded that i can't rank up in gold because of my right/left stick movement
Do you ever just walk around maps and practice reticle placement on its own? Try hopping in Academy on live fire, turn enemy outlines on (so you can see through walls) and turn off the bots ability to shoot/grenade, focus on perfectly placing your reticle before every encounter
They also didn’t account for the wet floor sign.
