My good sir, I thank you lots and lots for your video. Seeing my 3060ti go straight at 70° in-game (fans at 68%) with EVERYTHING at the lowest of the low at 1080p was driving me crazy, as was the ever recurring advice "well dust off your pc" and "no worries, normal gpu temp". And then, I saw you tinker with the one setting I ignored because it was greyed out and I had never seen it in a game before, or rather its wording: "foreground" fps (I only focused on "target" fps before), which was locked at 120. Set to 60, and lo and behold, temp drops to less than 50°. Now with everything maxed at 2K except anti aliasing (the one other tricky setting), my gpu temp remains standard. Thank you very much! Cheers
Man 2 years later this is still helpful... I couldn't figure out why my hotspot on the GPU was going over 100c only in classic WoW; it was running at 600 FPS when I have a 165 hz monitor, setting it to 165 FPS instantly dropped by 30c
Bro, you have no idea how much this video helped me understand. I know this seemed like common sense, but I really didn't get it why my PC would heat up so bad in games. I was running uncapped the entire time in all my games. Thank you so so much.
Good common sense stuff. There should be more tips like this for people with lower specs/laptops. I'm not in that camp anymore, but I would've appreciated it a lot more when I was younger. I'm still game for eeking out higher 1% low frames in CS:GO though... that's what gets me fragged most of the time.

Thanks for the comments! And yeah, I'm definitely guilty of FPS chasing. Lol.
@@MikeTheTech maximum RGB is the best way to get frames, right? :P
😂 and lots of case stickers.
Though syncing RGB speed to framerate could be fun...
@@MikeTheTech wow wow syncing rgb to frame rate might be really cool, actually. And I don't think I've ever put a case sticker on in my life LoL...
holy hell thanks so much. I couldnt find ANYTHING about why this was making my pc run hard as hell and it was just the fps needed lowered
Thanks! Very helpful
Glad it helped!

Nice! Glad it helped. :)
Which program are you using to help with the fans? And is it moron friendly? Asking for a friend, the friend is me.
lol. What GPU do you have? Each brand (nvidia and amd) have different apps. Nvidia I recommend GPU Tweak and AMD I recommend Adrenaline.
@@MikeTheTechnvidia old thing but desperate to get it a bit cooler
