Thank you for this tutorial! Folds are always a tough subject to tackle. Can you show us your approach to different materials; metal, glass etc? Thanks!
this is exactly where I'm struggling at right now. I feel blessed ヽ(✿゚▽゚)ノ
This tutorial is on perfect timing Dave! Thank you so much.
You've definitely achieved your own style. Something I also hope to achieve. It's recognizable and you can say "that's a Greco". I appreciate your content. I plan on fully immersing in digital art again once I am able to afford to break my corporate shackles (soon). If you ever did mentoring I would apply. Keep up the good work.
I'm learning about clothing and folds this week and your video is just perfect timing XD thanks for making this tutorial
Oooooo I'm early :0
lemme join the early gang
Hey dave! Love the video as always! I know this probably not a big asked video idea but i feel its very lacked in the art community. Noone ever really discuss the canvas size and resolutions they use. Every brush that is created doesnt scale properly if you jump from a 1080 to a 4k+ piece. The brushes get all wonky and i LOVE your main brush but on bigger canvas sizes it goes all wonky. It would be interesting to see what canvas sizes you typically use :)
Dude, are you reading my mind? I was just doing a piece and was wondering how to add more realist and stylised folds and details into the clothing of subject. BOOM. This video appears next day. Legendary.
Another wonderful video with wonderful knowledge! Thanks Dave for being epic
i thought youtube was recommending me your old video about clothing folds because i saved it recently, but damn a new upload. thanks for this!
Such an insightful video! My art brain feels bigger already
Just found your channel and love your art! How many years did it take you to get to this level of expertise in illustration? Also how many brushes do you use/do you have favorite? Thanks!
In their channel bio they've been working professionally for 14 years. Their career is almost as old as me.
once again the art god known as Dave Greco has descended from the art heavens equipped with DG main in hand to bless us with this awesome content :) awesome stuff as always
Dude, you have read my folds comment! Awwww, THANK YOU TAHNK YOUI FEEL SOO FLATTERED!
I love it! I needed this for a long time! In short, it is looking for similar references and reinterpreting them according to your needs right? For you, what should have a good clothing design? sometimes I feel that in games they are overloaded.
Thanks Dave for talking about that subject. For me, it not easy painting/drawing folds and clothing. This tips will be help me a lot! Thank you professor Dave!
Hey Dave, what made you switch back to Photoshop from Clip Studio Paint?
Any chance of a splash art tutorial? Going over what to expect from the client team. Some of the general back and forth. As well as some composition advice?
How do you go about painting clothing on a dynamically posed character? Im working on an illlustration where I already have the pose and lighting figured out, but how im struggling to render the clothing on top
Never clicked on a video so quickly!
I appreciate your videos a lot... But for some reason your voice always makes me feel sleepy...lol
I'm doing clothes right now. The timing of us as a people can be wild. Thank you for sharing your insight. Your character is cool. That arm is nice. I like that it wasn't covered.

Hell yeahhh! ✨
I'm lost.
And I found a gun.
And a garden.
If youtube made a reverse video feature u see him undressing his character
dave im sorry, i confess, i put it on 2x speed
I know Dave didn't tell us everything, Hey Dave please make us a wonderful advance course on drapery and costumes, also a little bit about what the industry wants, give us that secret sauce.
Painting is one thing, try 3D sculpting it where it has to look good from all angles.
I really like how you're the type to respect female bodies in art. Most female characters I've seen have their milk jugs popping out of their chest and I get kind of offended how that's one of the most particular things in the womanly body.
