I can't begin to tell u how grateful I am that u posted this🤗🤗 I know u didn't play it lol, but this extended version has helped me as a noob to the electric guitar (after years of banging out chords on the acoustic) but now approaching 60 and a lifelong fan of PF (seen them live😍) I'm jamming and learning more from this than any tutorial (no offence tute guys lol) I know this is 10+ yrs old and u'll probably never read this but I just had to pause after my (I've seriously lost count) multiple times tonight of jamming with this to say THANK U (which has taken longer than I anticipated😂) Keep practicing everyone, and never stop learning👍👍✌✌

Sounds like a muscle cramp. You have to train those muscles, it happens to the best of us! You have to warm up, start with basic scales and walk them for about 10 min this is the best way to build endurance. If you jump into the hard stuff your muscle will cramp right up. Think of it in athletic terms, everyone warms up before they start training. If this doesn't work, Check out different neck shapes and find one you're comfortable with. I've been playing for 15 years, still get cramps ;]
Anyone know how to get rid of severe pain in the fleshy pad below the left thumb? Physio is hopeless and I just cry coz I can't solo for any more than a couple of minutes let alone 18 minutes. Any suggestions would be appreciated just to be able to lose myself in the music once again.

Bit late, hope you still have hands, but apparently you use wrong technique.. Try to be less agrressive on the strings.
