Schachter Factor I guess most of the greatest bands in history "cheated" then, including Pink Floyd. Let me know when people find you creative enough to listen to your music.
I was in the middle of the jam and i got these super good licks coming... and my guitar unplugs from my amp. I think spinning in circles when jamming with a short cord is a bad idea. hahaha! But I loved Jamming to this! It never got old! Super Fun, Dudes!
I have lost count of the numbers of hours I have played to this in the last couple of years. Enjoyed every minute!! Not so sure about the neighbours, though!
This is absolutely stunning, I can't thank you enough. I've played through it 4 times in 2 days and my fingers certainly know they've had a good work out.
This is absolutely stunning and I can't thank you enough for the upload. I've played through this 4 times in 2 days and my fingers certainly know they've had a good workout.
. Thanks for the upload. Most Excellent. :) This is the absolute best tool to practice and then ultimately ad lib some epically sick "Comfortably Numb" solos. Tweak in the sound/tone, warm up a bit, brush up a bit on some of the tastier Gilmour licks to zone in on the style, then let your imagination go with it. ;) The 'resources' available today to budding young musicians is simply beyond belief. I *WISH* I were 11 years old again and picked up the guitar.... Any song you want is at your fingertips, audio and tab. In 1980 it was hard enough getting together with your friends bc the only communication was a telephone tied to the wall. No cell phones, not even pagers were out yet. Basically, you had to get the song, whether capturing on cassette from the radio station, or buying the album.... neither of which mediums are meant to have certain sections stopped, backup, play again... again and again and again.... to sit there and try to figure songs out. Your other options were to share with other peer guitarists what you know and hope one of them might've gotten a tricky part you can't get... sometimes playing something 'wrong' for so long, like misheard lyrics. But hold on to your hats kids! "Guitar" magazine has something called TABS, showing you how to play stuff. Problem is, they really don't take requests, and comes once a month, so basically, you got 5 songs, of which maybe 1-2 you might be interested in.... and never a popular song that's on the radio. Then all the tutorials started coming on VHS... which was this neat new thing... basically a huge cassette that only plays 'one side', but for video. And now.... sheesh... just type in any song followed by the word 'TAB' into Google, and Voila! ... there it is.... and hey, you say you prefer somebody showing it to you? No Problem! utube to the rescue!... sure, it's not guaranteed you'll find every song, but if it's popular, chances are there's a shitload of people showing how to play it... and you can slow it down to 1/2 or even 1/4 speed, lol... And this 'backing track' stuff? Totally fucking Awesome to find your own style.... Who needs a fucking band? 10 minutes of B Minor (" Comfortably Numb")... coming right up. Seriously, if you are a young musician right now and aren't progressing, you have no excuse. You have NO IDEA how easy you have it!
Agreed inever used tab till iwas 57 thought it was cheating duh listen to lp develope the ear icam only imagine if i took a lesson sight reading was the key mtv came out out sp that helped
Well you know I mean really with this much of a piece of music repeating yourself is going to happen but we have the bm scale 5 bars of the bm pentatonic and some sweep lead possibilities... mostly blues. but I believe you should have recorded... ofcourse with a live backing track and audience playing the whole 20 minutes with a little buzz would be beautiful... lol.
ha ha i love it! a superb pink fraud! gotta admit i got to 21.20 and got a beer, and as someone commented, respect if you made it to the end! thanks very much for this one!
the sky is the limit now ... playing deep meditation music live with this heavy backing was able to be push the limits of Consciousness through our vast cosmos of Consciousness ... I am from the past (60's) , living the present , with a foot out into our future ... thank you ... save our world 1st with our divine Consciousness ... Absolutely .... hare krishna ...
Made it through again ! ;) .. .. Just dropped an SD JB into my Les Paul Jr. .. A little echo\delay & chorus , plus the gain and this was a fantastic jam 👍👍👍👍👍
Gilmore himself got no more to say but pentatonic and bluenotes. It's all about the feel. You can bend one note 10minutes if you do it with good energy
Great backing track - I have been soloing over this Gilmore style for many years now. Any chance you could make a version that is 20mins long so that I can rip the video to mp3? Or could I download it somewhere?
Played this BT until the end... now my fingers are comfortably numb.
"just one more bend..."
You the man. I tried again and still I'm completely pooped out at 16m. Some day I may bust out with a full 29 minute solo, but i doubt it.
Izabael DaJinn
Don't worry, maybe you say more in 16 minutes than me in one hour!
Izabael DaJinn one joint will fix your longevity
instablaster...
I can't stop playing. Improvising to this track is like a meditation
Damn dude. I didn't realize how long this was until I looked up and was 15 minutes in.
Chord progression: I - VII - VI - (V) - IV - I
Or Bm A G (F#) Em Bm, you can just solo with the b minor / pentatonic scale :)
broke my high e.. didn't care, kept on going.
+Daniel Spence same here bro... same here...
A true keeper of the flame.
The show must go on!
MY MAN
I cant do that, Floyd Rose.
anyone that can play this solo for 30 min straight has my respect
This is for those that want to get stoned and jam to comfortably numb for hours.
+4, People know, it is a cultural tradition. I understand it and I don't even get stoned.
But it only has the verse progression.
***** I don't do any drugs or alcohol
Schachter Factor I guess most of the greatest bands in history "cheated" then, including Pink Floyd. Let me know when people find you creative enough to listen to your music.
***** Pink Floyd didn't really indulge in drugs fro creative inspiration, after Syd Barrett left, and especially because of how Syd left.
Heki Kahni no they did theyve admitted to it(sorry for my bad grammar im not very good at spelling)
For some reason this track is so easy to improvise on, very well made
Wife at work.. My day off.. Jammed to this all day..
can’t believe i’ve been playing with this for almost 8 years..
I was in the middle of the jam and i got these super good licks coming... and my guitar unplugs from my amp. I think spinning in circles when jamming with a short cord is a bad idea. hahaha! But I loved Jamming to this! It never got old! Super Fun, Dudes!

This was AWESOME! Just played sooo many tasty licks to this while a thunderstorm is storming outside my house. Simply Legendary!
Thank you for this! I can feel myself getting out of the rut I've been in. Got my headphones on and cranking it while my wife watches TV.
This is, by far, the best "How-To" tool on RUclips. This should have 1,000,000,000,000 views! Than you Mr. Mucci!
29+ minutes goes by fast when your are just chill jamming to this . Just let go an jam 🙋🙋🙋
Broke high E string twice because of this track...nice
After playing this entire track my fingers are numb...comfortably numb :)
One hour in and still going.... :)
I fucking love this. I can solo over it bluesy, classic rock 'n roll, and its slow enough for my learning of shred. Worthy upload good sir.
Laying comfortably numb and soloing in this track
my favorite backing track for practise..thx for the sharing!!!
Probably the best spent 29 minutes of my life
Thank you so much! As a beginner, this has helped me more than any other backing track on RUclips.
Great track, love the length. Best type of tool to work on technique and stamina. Thanks.
Always find my way back here when I need it.
MAN!!!!! THAT WAS SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!!!!
Best Chords base for solos... ever...
Managed a complete jam all the way through... which was tough as I started repeating myself after 2 minutes.
But I bet it felt great :)

Even the best guitarist repeat themselves, the trick is to be as creative as possible with what you know.
Quantametric Blues dont hax mate fake
gurlekh Quantametric Blues you are for definite hax bro
I'm just poor beginner, but this one is THE BEST I have ever tried ... THANK YOU !
Thank you.. This is my favorite track!!
ha ha i love it! a superb pink fraud! gotta admit i got to 21.20 and got a beer, and as someone commented, respect if you made it to the end! thanks very much for this one!
Great track.Thanks for sharing.
nice as I felt the official backing track for comfortably numb too short this way you can just play and play without having to stop and rewind
the sky is the limit now ... playing deep meditation music live with this heavy backing was able to be push the limits of Consciousness through our vast cosmos of Consciousness ...

Just plugged my unbranded, guitar shaped piece of wood in a nameless 10 bucks amp and it worked great...
Thank you very much for this whoever made the video!

Amazing track
ME AND EDDIE FROM SUNNY DALE HAVE BEEN QWRITEING MUSIC UNDER PINK FLOYD SINCE LAST JULY 2013 OVER ONE BILLION HOURS OF PINK FLOYD MUSIC
Awesome backing track, I am a rock god when I solo over this, only in my head though...🤔
This track gives me the bends 😂😂🎶🎼🎸😎

This is PERFECT for practicing Blues licks
I lasted 13 minutes... much longer than that other thing im also bad at.
masturbation?
@ironhorzmn sucks when they suck at sucking
Blackmore's When a blind man cries solo in Bm fits almost perfect, which is quite funny thing )))
This is frickin great.
Wonderful!!
Great backing track, thanks for posting ....
did my best improv yet to this. gotta admit i wasn't sober, but god damn was i feeling it.
riiight B pentatonic comin up
Good exercise for switching between Bm Pent and B Dorian. Only playing accoustic so hard to go above 12th fret, will try again with my LP.
love that track ))
Love this
1 more time around the half hour track 👍🎸🎶🎼😎
Thanks for the track I love it!
i make to much love listen this with my baby gibson lpj manz
Sounds good .
This is quite an extended jam ! Had to get focused a few times to not get in a rut ;0) .Made it through though !
this is great, thanks!
Tchaikowsky "Swan Lake" sounds amazing above this;)
Challenge: try not to play comfortably numb
how can someone dislike this?
Cool track, thanks for this! You've got a new subscriber.
The moment I realized my playing was actually really limited.
It's all about the bm pentatonic
Cause I started repeating my notes and tricks very fast. Bm pentatonic is good, for two minutes haha after that you go round and round.
that's where you start to learn tho, try the blues one or maybe aeolian, or whatever sounds good to you, and by the next day you'll be improving haha
Gilmore himself got no more to say but pentatonic and bluenotes. It's all about the feel. You can bend one note 10minutes if you do it with good energy
it's not your fault.
Holy fuck 30 minutes can pass so damn fast...
I jam to this all the time. You’re the fuckin man. Thank you
Excelent Backin'Track!!!I think if you break it 3-4 times with the chords of the 1st solo (D-A-C-G) it could be even better!!!
Waited 15 mins for the next progression (D/A/C/G), it never came :( Still, I had fun jamming over the Bm progression
29 mns....oh fuck, my fingers...!!
woooooooooooooooooooooooooooow
Best 30 minutes I spend on my self , I just let my fingers do the talking
genial
This machia makes sound too. 🎵
geng geng geng
Wooow :D
this is mother fucking perfect.
ps. do more pink floyd backing tracks.
pps. as in all of them
yeahhhhh
Todo en durlock ;)
Great backing track - I have been soloing over this Gilmore style for many years now. Any chance you could make a version that is 20mins long so that I can rip the video to mp3? Or could I download it somewhere?
My guitar wept for 29 minutes. Is it possible to download this track?
Anyone know exactly what chords are being used here?
Bm pentatonic and just keep hitting rewind
B aelion is sooo much better though
and add in some B harmonic minor here and there ;)
@@Dextrome yes watch the master gilmore and there you go shine on you crazy diamond is killer
longer !
Does someone know the tempo? Is it the same as the original?

two friends of the opposite sex can actually jam together. WOW SO UNHEARD OF.
