Watching this for about the 8th time Adam. The moments of stillness and slow, purposeful shots of the trees make this such a relaxing watch. I stole those techniques for my own videos 😊👍
You've managed to convey the serious love and devotion bonsai practioners have for their craft. Very well done! Glad you found a group of devotees to also help you on your bonsai journey!
Thank you so much! This means a lot 😊 It was so amazing working with all of the artists and learning their methods of how they create works of art! (Possible bonsai channel coming...what do you think?)
After watching Nigel's last Bonsai Zone recently, he mentioned your documentary. I just watched it. Nice work. I look forward to searching up more of your videos that include bonsai. Again, nice work!
Well Done Adam, few people truly understand the devotion we put into our tree, and few also do not realize that the trees give back to us in so many ways.
Fantastic documentary!! I absolutely love your choice of contributors. My all time favorites. It’s my pleasure to both like and subscribe. Thanks, keep growing.
Excellent!!! Great compilation of point of view and thoughts on Bonsai!!! Thanks for this documentary that definitely I'll revisiting constantly to keep focused on my Bonsai journey!!! BLESSINGS from PUERTO RICO!!!
Love it, these guys helped me get through lockdown and really get caught up in the whole art of bonsai. Funny to see them being serious and absolutely no catch phrases apart from Peter's shirt.
Spine tingling,it's amazing to see how s*** I don't know what to say a plant can derive these emotions n more to growers n on lookers I'm hooked 3 yrs in I,be surfed since I was 6 I'm 44 n it's a beautiful serinaty n bonsai has given me the same rush
Very evocative video on bonsai. You captured the essence if it, not just the Wikipedia description. I hope you don’t mind if I post is as a resource on the Toronto Bonsai Society’s Bonsai 101 course resource page.
You‘ve done an amazing job at sourcing from the experts; and on top of that, all of them are in my subscription as well! Music, pictures, language and the arrangement … top job!!! 👍🏻🪴👍🏻🪴👍🏻
Amazing work, Adam! It was great seeing all my favourite Bonsai creators in one amalgamation of a very passionate work of art. I loved how wonderfully you have shot this as well. Wish you all the best.👍
Very nice video Adam! I really liked the pacing and the sequencing of the clips along with the music. It really is a very beautiful endeavor, to train a tree. You are lucky you've discovered Bonsai in an early age! Congrats and greetings from Greece.
Fun fact: While the word bonsai is of Japanese origin, the concept of this art form actually took root in China. Since the Yin and Zhou dynasties nearly 3,000 years ago, people in China have cultivated ornamental plants to imitate natural scenery within gardens - a craft known as penjing.
I'm familiar with restrictive pruning of the stems and foliage... but I've yet to develop a knack for root pruning. I experimented with some American cedar and various spruce... but I can't seem to prune the roots correctly. I've been told the best way is not to prune, but to self retrain by twining the roots or binding them with wire. Does anyone else have experience with these methods?
Hey! I do some root pruning things on my bonsai channel @notionbonsai You should also watch Nigel Saunders from the Bonsai Zone! He has great explanations on it too!
@@IzonHow I'm counting on it. There's nothing like the feeling you get from being at the beginning of somethings life and nurturing it year after year watching it grow and thrive. The best part of spring is when your garden wakes up after it's long winter nap. I have a Sango Kaku, not as a bonsai, (his name is Grasshopper) he was supposed to be a slow grower, 😄. He basically said hold my beer. I've tended to him branch by branch throughout his lifetime for 14yrs and he is my pride and joy. I now work at a tree and shrub farm that sells wholesale and retail. We specialize in Japanese Maples and Conifers of every size. This year I worked through the seasons with an eye to bonsai. I've collected a few that display stunning natural growth and movement. I've also rescued a few and am preparing them to become the swans they were meant to be. I am blessed to have a never ending supply of plants at my disposal to begin my journey into the art of bonsai. Thanx for responding and be well! From PA, USA

Bonsai es el amor a la naturaleza da igual lo artístico que sea lo importante es amarlos.

absolutely incredible! and great mini documentary - needs more female artists, though!
👍
ピーターは盆栽の達人です
I missing Walter Pall in this video
Did I hear the gentleman correctly when he said Bonsai can command 20k-30k?
Does that mean I could sell my creations?
🥲
You can! It takes a long time to create fine specimen trees though!
