For anyone on PC having issues finding your mod folder: make sure you're looking at the file/folder path I showed in the video, even if you have the Steam version - I made the video using the Steam version of the game, and that is the directory you need to use to find your mod folder and add mods.
Tysm I’ve been trying to find the moss file for a while now (also just so you know I posted this like guide on Reddit but I made sure to give you credit)
Hi I've just found your channel while searching for the FS22 Modhub, I'm new to FS22 as previously only played FS17 and play on PC via Steam, your explanation was great and has made it so easy. Thanks 🍻 My question is When I load the Game and go to the Downloadable Content at the bottom where the options are What is the difference between using Crossplay or All Mods? and Which should I use for playing on PC. Thanks 👍

Thx dude,it was a long time ago since i modded a fs game,fs 15 or 17 i believe and i kinda forgot how to do it manually as the mod i wanted to download was not in the game mod hub for whatever reason.I just wanted a pallet autoloader mod
Unfortunately not, the only mods available on consoles are the ones on the official ModHub you access through the in-game menu. That's a limitation that Sony/Microsoft put in place.
My pleasure! Unfortunately not, any mods on consoles have to come from the in-game ModHub, which is a limitation put in place by Sony & Microsoft, not GIANTS.
Hey there! New to PC modding. I went to one of the websites you said you like to use, Nexus. I downloaded a couple mods, added the entire zip to my mods folder then reboot the game but they aren't showing up. Any suggestions anyone?
I installed the Farming Sim app from the App Store, and when I look for a file for FS22 there is no file. Do mods from websites not work on the actual app? or do I have to download it on a website?
There have been some great new mods for FS19 coming out even just this week, so I can definitely understand that! FS22 will be waiting and that'll give more time for mods to roll out for it as well. Really no bad choice to be made there!
I need some help. I pre ordered this game on August. Waited all this time and my game is a wreck. Weird glitches, frame rate issues, no mack pinnacle, my maps look different from everyone else’s, and i have zero mods. I put in an email or whatever and i still haven’t gotten anything from giants.
What platform are you on? I know there are some patches still rolling out, and GIANTS is working to try to fix some of the issues. If you're on PC, make sure you meet the minimum specs, but if you do (or if you're on console) then it may be a matter of waiting for a patch. You could also try heading to the GIANTS forums and posting in the bug/support topic there and see if anybody else has similar issues.
Happy to (try to) help! There will always be some issues on release, but sounds like you've got some particularly nasty ones. Hope you can get it sorted out - I'm sure GIANTS will get back to you eventually, but they're probably pretty swamped at the moment. Hi i have downloaded some new maps to try from the games hub but i can not find out how to pick a new map to start a new game with. Can you shed some light on this please.
Certainly! If you've got the map downloaded and the ZIP folder in your mods folder, then when you start a new save it will show you the map select screen. It defaults to Elmcreek but you should be able to use the arrows on the side, your controller D-pad, arrow keys or mouse scroll wheel to cycle through your available maps.
Very Helpful vid! I’m having some trouble getting a zip mod into my save game. When I go into downloadable content it shows installed, however when I load my save game there is no option to click or unclick?!
Thank you very much! Glad it was useful. Is the mod from the ModHub, or from an external source? I imagine if it's external, it's possible it's a FS19 mod that maybe wasn't converted correctly, but if it's from the ModHub then I'm not sure...try deleting/removing the mod, then reinstalling it maybe?
I don't know for certain as I've only used the Steam version, but I would think if you can find the mods folder wherever the game is installed, it should work the same way.
Im on pc. I have mod hub content installed but still have no mods folder in directry. Could you possibly make a short update video on how to fix something like this?
Shoot, it seems like a few people have had that issue. Unfortunately I'm not sure how to solve that one, I would try verifying your game files through Steam (if you have it through there) or if you bought through GIANTS you can see the steps to verify your files here: forum.giants-software.com/viewtopic.php?f=964&t=182086 If that doesn't work for you, you could try posting on the forums to see if others have had that issue and how they solved it.
To my knowledge you never had to unzip/repack for MP in FS19, I always just downloaded the ZIP files and they worked just fine without doing anything further to them. Unless you mean ZIP folders with multiple mods in them, then you would need to ensure you only put the individual ZIP file for each mod in the mods folder.
Unfortunately you can't download mods from 3rd party sites and put them on consoles, you are limited to only what is put on the official ModHub, accessed via the in-game menu. That's a limitation put in place by Sony/Microsoft, not GIANTS.
I'm not aware of any other way to get mods on consoles, and I highly doubt that will change... At least not for FS22. The only mods available for consoles are the ones on the in-game ModHub.
If you got it from a 3rd party site it could be that it's not a properly done mod and that's why it's not showing up in-game. The sites I listed in the video typically have some basic quality control, but other sites will often allow pretty much anything without checking to make sure it actually works.
That's odd, which map is it? So it shows as installed when you go to the "downloadable content" menu, but not in the map select screen? My gut reaction would be that if it's something converted from FS19, it could be that it wasn't converted properly.
I downloaded like 30 or so mods from farmsimulator22mods and they show up in the ModHub saying they are installed but in the mod management screen they are not on and they do not show up in game. Anything I can do to fix this?
I haven't had great experiences with that site - it tends to be poorly done converts, or mods taken from other creators and reuploaded for profit. It's very possible the mods you got from there aren't actually properly done, so they show up/say they're installed but then don't actually work in-game. Stick to the more reputable sites and you should have better luck.
What type of mods are they? If they're from third party sites or an unreputable modder then that might be the issue, as most mods at this point are things that have been converted over from FS19 and they may not have been converted properly.
In your "gamesettings.xml" file, if you open it with Notepad you'll see near the top there is a line that says " " Change "false" to "true" and then put the folder path for the mods folder on your external hard drive into the space after "directory=" and it should read the mods from whichever folder you specify there.
Sorry to hear that! Are you sure your gamesettings XML is pointing to the right folder to look for mods? If you join my Discord server I could maybe try to help you figure it out.
There seems to be quite a few people having trouble on PS4, so I'm guessing it's some kind of issue with the game on that platform - I believe GIANTS has been working on a patch for PS4 so hopefully that will fix the issue whenever it's out.
im having trouble when i open the FS files i dont see a mod folder so i add one in drop the mods into it but dont see them when i load the game what am i doing wrong didnt have this proble with 19
Make sure you follow the folder path I showed in the video, it should be there regardless of whether you got the game on Steam or through GIANTS - it won't be in the Steam folders. Also make sure your game is up to date as well, and if you bought it through Steam you could also try verifying the game files.
Yep! If you open the "gameSettings.xml" file in the FS22 directory, ynear the top you should see - modsDirectoryOverride active="false" and then a space for the directory. Just change it to "true" and then input the folder path to whichever one you want, and it should read from there.
Sorry, you can't upload mods to consoles from any external sources - you can only get them from the in-game ModHub. That's a limitation put in place by Sony/Microsoft.
I'm guessing there is absolutely no way to use any kind of 3rd party mods on a PS4... my gf has a PS4, I have a PC, and we want to play this game together through multiplayer. I use a lot of 3rd party stuff.
Im having trouble finding the mod folder in my farming simulator folder. Ive searched countless times and have done it previously on fs19. whats the problem with it?
Are you sure you're following the exact folder directory I showed in the video? Others have had the same issue but I think most were looking through the Steam folder directory rather than the "My Games" one.
@@ReubyJuice I bought the game from their website, but I would have to assume it would be similar file locations for everything? I’ll rewatch the video and see but when I open the folder it doesn’t show a mods folder.
You shouldn't have to, but it seems like a lot of people are having this same problem. I haven't yet found a solution, but I would maybe try verifying your game files to see if that makes it appear. You could also try posting on the GIANTS forums to see if anybody there has a better answer, sorry I'm not more help!
@@ReubyJuice I figured it out. I was going if the steam apps folder. Went off documents and my games as you said and worked perfectly. Thank you so much. Have real pick up and couple decent trailers now.
Do you mean GIANTS? If you're on PC they can't "ban" mods as far as I know, but if it's something that has been converted over from FS19 then it's possible the conversion wasn't done properly.
Make sure you're not looking in the Steam folder path, and use the folder path I showed in the video. If that still doesn't help, maybe try verifying your game files.
Whenever I add mods to my mod folder my fs 22 crashes upon exit. Runs fine when I play the game with the mods tho. When I don't have mods in the folder there are no issues. Are there any fixes for this yet ?
Not yet, I've read that if you have any script mods enabled it crashes the game when you quit rather than returning you to the main menu, and I've experienced this same issue. It'll probably get patched eventually but for now unfortunately we have to deal with the annoyance of booting the game back up every time.
Good point! I couldn't show it since there aren't any map mods out for 22 yet, but I could've/should've talked about how that works for when we do get some eventually.
If it's from a third party site, there's always a possibility that it's a broken mod. Also make sure that you moved the entire ZIP file into the mods folder (and kept it zipped).
@@ReubyJuiceI tried a different mod and it worked perfectly, I shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions so quick. Thank you for the help, much appreciated.
I added mods from an external site and they work perfectly for my single player game, but when I try to add them into my coop session they aren't there. I tried launching a multiplayer sessions with a modded map and I get a message saying the map folder needs to be zipped but when I go to my mod folder, all my mods are zipped exactly how you showed. Help?
Hmm that's strange. I do know in FS19 I ran into mods occasionally that wouldn't work in multiplayer, it could be there's an error with the mod causing it not to work in MP. You can try a couple of things - connect with the modder who made it if possible, or check your log file (found in the same overall game folder as your mods folder) and see if it shows any errors in there. My guess would be that a map mod that's out this quickly after release may be a quick conversion of an FS19 mod so there could be issues with it.
I'm assuming you bought it from GIANTS? You should have an email from them with the activation key - make sure you check your spam folder etc. If you still can't find it then you'd have to contact GIANTS support, but it should be there somewhere 🙂
Hmm that's a new one for me, if you bought it through the PlayStation Store then it should unlock automatically. You might have to contact Sony support as that sounds like a PlayStation issue rather than a GIANTS issue.
If you're sure it's in the exact same folder path (and not through your Steam folder) then it might be an issue with the mods - maybe try downloading some from the in-game ModHub and see if they work.
Make sure you're following the folder directory I showed in the video - regardless of whether it's the Steam or direct-from-GIANTS version, it should be at that file path. Let me know if you try that and it still doesn't work!
Make sure what you have in your mods folder are ZIP folders (don't extract the files), also some mods from third party sites may not work properly if they're poorly made so make sure you're getting them from reputable places like the ones I mention in the video. Hopefully you can get it working!
Unfortunately you can't access it on console - the only way to download mods on consoles is through the in-game ModHub. My understanding is that it's a restriction that Sony/Microsoft put in place.
Make sure you're following the exact folder path I showed in the video - it should be there whether you have the Steam version or direct from GIANTS (I have Steam version and that's where it is for me). Let me know if that doesn't solve it!
@@ReubyJuice ahhhh found it, thanks! i assumed I just had it downloaded from somewhere differently than you, i was going into the F file and going to farming sim 22 from there and it wasnt there, went the same way as you and it was there, Thanks!
You shouldn't need to make one, it should be automatically created by the game - if it's not there, try verifying your game files or downloading something from the in-game ModHub to see if that makes it show up.
That's pretty tough to say, as it would likely depend on which mods you're using and how much equipment you have on screen etc. Only real way to find out is to try some out and see - you're best off to start with some from the ModHub as they'll likely be the most optimized, some mods from third party sites/direct from modders can have really detailed models & large file sizes.
I'm not entirely sure as it's been a while since I've used a Mac, but wherever your game is installed, you should be able to find the folder with all the game files (save games, farms.xml, etc.) and the mod folder should be there as well.
There aren't very many mods out yet, it takes some time for modders to work their magic 😁 that being said, it's unlikely you'll be able to get licensed pickups (e.g., Ford, Dodge, etc.) on console, since every mod on consoles has to be approved by GIANTS, and they don't have the license to those brands so they can't allow them.
Does anyone else's ps4 farming simulator 22 not have a mod option at the main menu??? Please help me, I jut downloaded it off ps4 store and I don't have a option to download mods..please help me..
It seems that a lot of folks on PS4 are having issues with the ModHub - I know GIANTS has been working on pushing out a patch for PS4, and hopefully that update will fix the ModHub problems.
Now I have a question about new mods how can I add new trucks and Krane I have ps4 myself but I can't figure it out everyone has excavators new forestry vehicles all fine and fine but that's only pc version available when I click fs19 look then I have a lot more forestry vehicles how can I download that for ps4 I can't read English either so I translate it and I've already sent an email to giants but I don't understand what it says if you don't know English I can't copy the post either but i would love it if someone can help me with downloading new mods i don't get it anymore
If you are on console (PS4) then you can only download mods from the ModHub in the game. Consoles cannot download mods from any other place. If you have Farming Simulator 22, you cannot download Farming Simulator 19 mods for your game, you can only download mods that have been uploaded to the ModHub for Farming Simulator 22.
That probably means that there are multiple mods (and multiple ZIP folders) contained within the folder that you download, so you should follow their instructions 🙂
Please let me know if you have any questions or aren't sure about something I mentioned in the video!
Now see it says all there is the dlc not mods
On the mod hub all there is just class pack that’s it nothing else
They fixed ps4 modhub
Awesome, really glad to hear that!
For anyone on PC having issues finding your mod folder: make sure you're looking at the file/folder path I showed in the video, even if you have the Steam version - I made the video using the Steam version of the game, and that is the directory you need to use to find your mod folder and add mods.

Unfortunately not, on consoles you can only download from the in-game ModHub - that's a limitation put in place by Sony/Microsoft, not GIANTS.
Im having am issue with actually beimg able to get any mods once so ever. Im using my PS4 and idk if its a issue with the game or is it my system.
Also make sure your game is up to date as well, and if you bought it through Steam you could also try verifying the game files.
can we relocate the mod folder and have it pull it from there ?
Yep! If you open the "gameSettings.xml" file in the FS22 directory, ynear the top you should see - modsDirectoryOverride active="false" and then a space for the directory. Just change it to "true" and then input the folder path to whichever one you want, and it should read from there.
I can’t figure out how to do it on Mac
How do I download mods on my phone and upload them to my Xbox
Sorry, you can't upload mods to consoles from any external sources - you can only get them from the in-game ModHub. That's a limitation put in place by Sony/Microsoft.
I'm guessing there is absolutely no way to use any kind of 3rd party mods on a PS4... my gf has a PS4, I have a PC, and we want to play this game together through multiplayer. I use a lot of 3rd party stuff.
Can I get it on android please help me 😢
Im having trouble finding the mod folder in my farming simulator folder.
@@ReubyJuice never mind I found it. It was hidden away in the wrong download location for some reason
That's odd, but I'm glad to hear you found it!
Do I have to create a mods folder? Mine didn’t have one
Awesome, really glad to hear that! I'll keep that in mind in the future if others ask, as maybe they're doing the same thing.
Did they ban the autoloader trailer? Because I can't get it into the game 12/15/21
Do you mean GIANTS? If you're on PC they can't "ban" mods as far as I know, but if it's something that has been converted over from FS19 then it's possible the conversion wasn't done properly.
I dont have a ''mods'' folder i dont know what the problem is. I havent touched any of the files.
It'll probably get patched eventually but for now unfortunately we have to deal with the annoyance of booting the game back up every time.
yeah you didnt explain how map mods for in and for the game to pick them up so you can play on them
Good point! I couldn't show it since there aren't any map mods out for 22 yet, but I could've/should've talked about how that works for when we do get some eventually.
It didn't work for me for some reason, I downloaded it from Mod Network, copy/pasted the file into the mod folder for FS 22 and it didn't show up.
Thanks bro
My pleasure, glad to help!
My map won’t show up but every other mod does
I added mods from an external site and they work perfectly for my single player game, but when I try to add them into my coop session they aren't there.
It says content key when I try to unlock it and idk what to do? Can you tell me how to find the content key
I'm assuming you bought it from GIANTS? You should have an email from them with the activation key - make sure you check your spam folder etc. If you still can't find it then you'd have to contact GIANTS support, but it should be there somewhere 🙂
@@ReubyJuice I bought it on the ps4 store
Hmm that's a new one for me, if you bought it through the PlayStation Store then it should unlock automatically. You might have to contact Sony support as that sounds like a PlayStation issue rather than a GIANTS issue.
@@ReubyJuice ya okay thank you so much I will try that out
No problem, hope you can get it sorted!
I'm putting them in the exact same mods folder you are they are zipped and its nor working any idea?
:/
If you're sure it's in the exact same folder path (and not through your Steam folder) then it might be an issue with the mods - maybe try downloading some from the in-game ModHub and see if they work.
im still struggling to get them in the game
when i go to my FS22 folder there is no "mods" folder i just created one and put it in there but it still didn't work :(
Make sure you're following the folder directory I showed in the video - regardless of whether it's the Steam or direct-from-GIANTS version, it should be at that file path. Let me know if you try that and it still doesn't work!
@@ReubyJuice yep allright i just couldn't find it at first but got it now
thank you!
No problem, glad to hear you got it!
i put my mods into mod folder and they still will not show up on my game
Make sure what you have in your mods folder are ZIP folders (don't extract the files), also some mods from third party sites may not work properly if they're poorly made so make sure you're getting them from reputable places like the ones I mention in the video. Hopefully you can get it working!
How do I access that folder on console
Unfortunately you can't access it on console - the only way to download mods on consoles is through the in-game ModHub. My understanding is that it's a restriction that Sony/Microsoft put in place.
when i go into farming simulator file, there is no mods folder, i created a mods folder and it didnt work, any ideas?
Make sure you're following the exact folder path I showed in the video - it should be there whether you have the Steam version or direct from GIANTS (I have Steam version and that's where it is for me). Let me know if that doesn't solve it!
@@ReubyJuice ahhhh found it, thanks! i assumed I just had it downloaded from somewhere differently than you, i was going into the F file and going to farming sim 22 from there and it wasnt there, went the same way as you and it was there, Thanks!
No problem! Glad you found it 🙂
do i need to make a mods folder if i do where do i put it
You shouldn't need to make one, it should be automatically created by the game - if it's not there, try verifying your game files or downloading something from the in-game ModHub to see if that makes it show up.
@@ReubyJuice will the mods lag 8gb ram dell optiplex 9020
That's pretty tough to say, as it would likely depend on which mods you're using and how much equipment you have on screen etc. Only real way to find out is to try some out and see - you're best off to start with some from the ModHub as they'll likely be the most optimized, some mods from third party sites/direct from modders can have really detailed models & large file sizes.
How do i find themod folder on macbook
I'm not entirely sure as it's been a while since I've used a Mac, but wherever your game is installed, you should be able to find the folder with all the game files (save games, farms.xml, etc.) and the mod folder should be there as well.
It was not their
How get truck mods on xbox or is there none
Anyone know how to install mods on the steamdeck?
What if the mod author says to unzip the folder?
That probably means that there are multiple mods (and multiple ZIP folders) contained within the folder that you download, so you should follow their instructions 🙂
