Back in FS17 there was a vehicle tabber mod - it allowed you to set mod groups and then assign vehicles to them. I would usually set a tractor group, harvester group, truck group. So I could select the tractor group, then tab through each tractor sequentially - it kind of beat out the vehicle park, but sadly not been seen since FS17. Then for harvesters I use the Harvester Full Stop mod, when you hit 100% full it slams on the brakes, stops/raises the header, and puts out the pipe. Very handy when you're trying to text and harvest on a stream - it's saved me a ton of damaged crop!!
Another one that is a must have is "time saving stock check". It is just so easy to know what you will earn with your goods and when to sell what. Also it shows you the difference between selling now and selling later.
Another really awesome one that I started using recently is Vehicle Control Addon, it has several parts such as you can turn on/off AWD, Lock the Differential's on vehicles, also you can set it to automatically adjust turn your camera as you steer a vehicle, so when you turn corners your camera naturally pans so you can see where you're going! Fantastic mod. Also Great list FSG!
I was also gonna mention this mod...it also has most of the settings that Start Engine Mod has as in how you want your vehicle to start with pressing the accel button etc. and it also lets you adjust your break force, which also just adds that little bit more of realism so your vehicle wont just stop when you take your finger off the accel button like in the vanilla game....your vehicle will keep rolling👌
I was a subscriber when I started on FS19 (PC) and your videos helped me fine tune my mod list and gameplay. I just recently downloaded FS22, like yesterday and am back for tips. Expect a few more thumbs up on your older videos as I get my mod list put together. 👍
Thank you thank you FarmSimGuy!!! Been away from FS22 for a while, watching this has got me so pumped to jump back. My only request from the mod hub or giant is a map overlay on the driving map showing your drive lanes after you fertilize, seed, harvest etc in real time. I know it shows some lanes. In real life farming having a screen in the equipment showing your lanes makes a huge difference. I can show harvest numbers on same field using equipment with and without
Hey man love the videos and i know you most likely wont see this but I'm hoping if someone comes across this comment that they might learn something they didn't know about the game. This is regarding the part of the video where you showcased The Placeable Extended mod - 34:23 , you mentioned in you video that in the base game you are not able to place buildings and other placeable's very close together because of the collision boxes, when you in the build menu/placeable's menu if you hit the letter V on your keyboard it asks you if you would like to enable the base games "Free Build" which disables the collision boxes of the buildings/placeable's while you are placing them. Once again thank you for making such great videos and keep up the great work :)
Hey man, thanks for taking the time to comment, I'm always keeping an eye on things, so try not to miss too many comments. You are 100% correct, that wasn't a feature when the game was originally released but has since been added in an update, I had had the placeable extended mod installed for so long I didn't realise at the time. but yes indeed it is now a base game function and works just as you describe. Thanks for the kind words :-)
Easy Development Controls: I like show bale / pallet location. Had some pallets glitch under the ground and didn't know coordinates to look for in the game files to delete and respawn. Also helpful to find where that round bale got off to!!! Fill level warning: how did you get the beacon on the combine? was it from this mod or an vehicle purchase option? Game Saver warning: you must have a beast computer. I get quite a lag spike when this runs, so just warning. Mod recently updated from reporting save occurred to warning that save is coming!! so you know when / why lag. Love it Growth Stage: the map will show grass as ready to harvest when at chaff stage, there is one more growth stage for bailing! and this mod will let you know that. Along with root crops. Snap build: changed my life. my cat has returned to napping on my lap without worry of sudden outbursts. Placeable extended: I think Snap Build has V for "Toggle free-mode" and it does the same thing. Field calculator: I believe this uses standard map table and doesn't change for created fields. Does this work with Precision Farming? Is Fertilizer for one application or both?
Here are some of my additional recommendations: Time Saving Stock Check - helps to determine when to sell and how much you'll get (if it's worth you time to even sell). It also allows you to see the total amount stored on the entire map and where they are stored. Helps when you forget how much you put in the train station. Production Revamp - very powerful, but I only use it to: buy inputs @ great penalty, priority distributions system, storage setting doesn't spawn pallets, fixed bug of missions filling unowned productions to capacity also removes cheat of buying production after mission filling it, displays units stored inside colored bar chart, sort or filter productions, visualizes if productions run parallel or distributed. I'm still trying to figure out volume displays on buildings. No more auto lift - impliments must be raised and lowered by player. just like cutter fix but for everything else. Reduced Engine Breaking Force - allows vehicles to coast longer distance, doesn't quickly come to stop. Paint and Terraform anywhere - I'm still figuring out painting and sometimes go outside the line, now I can fix it. Automatic watering system - turns on plumbing to buildings, at a price of course. Hide owned productions - in the price table, removes owned productions (map maker placed) since you can't sell to yourself. Combine Experience - changes top speed of combine depending upon crop and combine power, can adjust scale of change. Also separates activation of cutter and combine thrashing. Advanced Farm Manager - listing of vehicles and implements with ability to....manage them. can sell, repair, paint, fuel, clean, parking status from menu at game prices. Warp to / tag lost implements. set vehicle hotkeys (1-9) and nick name vehicles. includes Park vehicle mod from VertexDezign. Fill Lever limiter - manually restrict fill level of implement Silo Fill Information - pop-up display of % full, helpful with multi fruit silos with overall storage limits Bunker Silo HUD - Pop-up display of fill level, fill type, and status. Repair and paint settings - manually adjust rate and cost Fuel level warning - audible beep when fuel level low Info message HUD - when hiding help menu, setting and action messages are discreetly displayed.
Some great ones in there, Time saving stock check I use all the time, I did a separate video on it, hence why it didn't make it into this list, but i'm sure It'll be in a future one
I like the fill meter warning. That'll come in handy for me simply because I am visually impaired my self. That means that one is blind in one eye but can still see.
Please keep doing refreshers like this to help us keep updated with newest combed usage of new and existing mods. You may have some different than me, but it's nice to know if those differences are ones I've "missed" or a better one. also, this taught me a couple uses I didn't know my mods had!! thanks mate!! AND, I would like to know what vehicle, tool and placable mods you use. Companion videos?
Thanks for the feedback, I'd love to share all the vehicles/tools I use but with over 1000 mods in my mod folder... that's going to be one hell of a vid 😂
JCB fast tract tractor is a very useful tractor. Vehicle Control Addon helps me make straight lines and is simple to use no hired workers needed. TLX Single Cab pickup, has several very useful beds that can pop off and on, I love the dump bed and the flat bed. Placeable Refund, allows me to correct mistakes I made when placing a building, if I pull it quick enough I get the full price back.
I use all of these except universal autoload, engine starter, game saver, placeable extended, and better timescale. My personal additions would be field lease, dynamic field prices, advanced maintenance, sleep anywhere, no more auto lift, disable automatic engine shut off (even with automatic engine start turned off if you leave a vehicle running and leave the immediate area it will shut itself off; this disables that which is nice for if you enjoy realism or want to leave a vehicle with a long start up sequence running while you leave the area), unit convert for the sweet sweet bushels (though it is unfortunate that this mod conflicts with realistic seeder as I'd love to use them both but have to choose between the two for now), manual discharge, manual refueling, cover addon (open and close covers while outside the vehicle), slip destroys fields, crop rotation, headland management, enhanced animal system, and a mod that I can't recall the name of right now but it makes it so you can turn the combine and header on independent of each other like in real life.
Great content as always. I had some but not all of these and have now downloaded several of them. Quick question, not sure if all the video was from the same map, but at the 3:50 what map is that?
Great video, these topics need a new video every quarter or so...if there is new stuff to show. I'm using almost all those mods regularly and couldn't play without them.
Thanks for some good tips there, I have most of them but not all. I do however miss the vehicle sorter mod that allowed you to organize vehicles the way you wanted them
Wow helpful thanks. I had a lot of these but found a few gems I didn't have. I also love the super shop sorting, real mower, and real clock (keeps me from getting so wrapped up I forget how much time has gone by in real life). Thanks for the help. Blessings
I have been looking for that stinking name of that mod called "Easy Development Controls" but no one would tell me where to find it or where its called.. so thank you, that I finally know.
I wish they would make an easy dev and leave the add money part out for multi players. We have a lot of mods in common. Thanks for sharing the video with us !
Amazing thank you so much, only had like 10% of the mods you talked about. Guess I'm very new to FS22 with under 100 hours :) Btw Mod #4 is called: Rounder Wrapped Round Bales in Mod Hub now.
Great useful video - I will be dwnloading many - I use the Easy Dev mod - it is a god send when I have either messed up - I and fast travel is super useful - I like the next stage growing info mod too - and the snap building mod be useful too - hope you do more mod videos like this -

Im at work right now so im not at my computer, but i feel like ive seen some of these mods implemented in the base game? @The FarmSim Guy really appreciate what you've done for this game and the quality 👏 of your footage and information is hands down my Favorite to watch or listen to One day I hope to meet on the farm 🚜 and see how that goes
If you don't mind a small suggestion for future content like this; I personally would strongly recommend splitting the video into utility mods / visual mods. That way, those who are so inclined could just watch for utility, those who wanted could just watch for visual, and those who wanted both could watch it all. Also, the Upgradable Factories mod is wonderful
@@TheFarmSimGuy Hey, can you recommend a good source for learning the intricacies of scripting keyboard input event handlers? I'm making a pure script mod. I'm struggling with the abysmal api documentation, and while the code I see in other mods makes sense, I'm missing what other param values there are to better suit my use cases.
I agreed completely until Better Time Scale. As a stand-a-lone mod it's great, but if you are running EDC then you already have that functionality with the "Extra Time Scales". But overall, I completely agree with your list!
One mod I haven’t heard many talk about is the Combine EXperience mod. Being able to engage the threshing system and head separately was the main reason I used it in FS19, and the ground speed changing depending on the load on threshing system. Sadly i preordered the game on Steam and then my graphics card threw a rod the day FS22 released and I’ve only just now been able to play the game on my fiancés Xbox through game pass. And more sadly, the mod isn’t available for console as I come to find out.
It’s a great mod but in my opinion it seriously needs a visual overhaul, and have the interface nicely designed, it’s so ugly and big over the screen it really spoils the immersion. Hopefully it’ll get an update to fix that because it’s a clever mod idea
I play on a console, and even if we were able to get these mods I don’t think I would get the cutter fix mod because in base game I’m able to raise and lower the cutter head while it’s running. So the only thing the mod would do is keep it from automatically lowering when I start the header. Otherwise I’m able to raise and lower it freely, and while it’s raised I’m able to drive the combine at full speed as well
This auto saver is going to be great as I've started rennebu and saving can take a little time to save, far simguy coming in clutch again!, Also what map are you doing this video in?
I can think of one, I'm not a big fan of using the Tab to cycle through vehicles, even with the park vehicle mod, I think the Advanced Farm Manager is a much better tool, and it has a lot more options. With the tabs you can easily switch between vehicles / implements, it shows its location on the map, or you can just warp to it.
I have to agree to this list, i use all of them myself. And another (1865 minus 22), should be about 1843 files in my mod dir. Thats' about 1000 less than i used in fs19. Think i have to start to use folders like i did in fs19, all that mods enabled in game will sooner or later lead to trouble hehe.
@@TheFarmSimGuy I like that! I hope a lot of the mods we see become basegame features as the game evolves. Next game though I wanna see GPS basegame 100%
The basegame only has this heat effect. With Exhaust Extension, there's also black smoke when the tractor is under load. Or when you turn on a combine harvester it emits a bit of black smoke for a few seconds.
I realize this is 10 months old but have you had any problems lately with REAL DIRT mods (Fix, Color & Tracks)?? I don't think they are working anymore.
@@TheFarmSimGuy that’s interesting. To me it seems like it works different than how it worked 3 or 4 months ago. Are you using the Fix, Color, Tracks & Particles mods? Supposedly they are all working together now. Something seems different though.
@@TheFarmSimGuy Doing grass work, I get minimal to no green. When liming, the build up is significantly less than I remember. I haven’t really played a bunch since shortly after Premium released but something has changed. I went in an edited the Color mod. Tried the simple mode. Nothing changed. Increased the rate a bit and decreased the revert speed. Still not seeing the effect that I remember. I remember liming a field and seeing significant lime buildup. Same with doing grass work. Checked the game options for how fast my tractor picked up dirt, and it was set to Normal. Switched to Fast. Noticed a little improvement but still, not how I remember a few months back.
is there such a mod that changes seed icons to text, for instance i want to see the word in text Wheat, Barley NOT icons! think there is a mod for the older games i remember using it, reading is so much easier than trying to figure out what the icons mean.
Only other ones I also always have in mine is stock check, better contracts, lumber jack, advanced farm manager, store delivery, trailer axel blocker, refresh contracts, also the obvious GPS, auto-drive and Course play. So many great mods out there
I tried to download "Placeable Extended" and your link takes me to a German page with a download button, but when you press it all you get is a Farmhub page and nothing more? Is the link broken?
Hi great videos as usual, wonder if you can help with my problem, its with Couseplay, when its not activated my workers work normally, with it activated they stop at the end of the row. I've activated the debug on all my vehicles but it makes no difference, the only way to cure the problem is to deactivate Courseplay, any ideas which might help , please.
How cool there are some I don't have, The only other issue I'm having is all the mods I have 90% are from modhub my computer struggles. I might need to get new tower?
I REALLY wish there was a better way to scroll through decorative items! It takes forever to get to the items I want if they are at the end. Seems like a really sad way to do things! I love FS22, but main use is just creating landscapes, and nice little farm home yards, etc. Takes a lot of fun out of the game when everything takes so long to find!
I know it's been asked.. Which map is this? Also, brilliant content, mate!!

It’s designed for palettes and bales only
I'm a bit late to the game, pun intended, so thanks for this helpful video! 👍
You are welcome 😊👍
@@TheFarmSimGuy Hey, can you recommend a good source for learning the intricacies of scripting keyboard input event handlers? I'm making a pure script mod. I'm struggling with the abysmal api documentation, and while the code I see in other mods makes sense, I'm missing what other param values there are to better suit my use cases.
Hey mate, its about time you updated this for 2024 :P
You are right it probably is 🙂👍
I agreed completely until Better Time Scale.
Otherwise I’m able to raise and lower it freely, and while it’s raised I’m able to drive the combine at full speed as well
Does the dusty lands mod take weather into account? Like if its raining hard and you run a cultivator, will it still be dusty?
No the dust dies down in the rain and then builds back up slowly once it's dry, you can also adjust it in the settings
There’s some nice mods in there FSG and keep up with the great work 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Top vid again teaching me masses
My pleasure bud 👍
Hi! Great video bro keep it up. I just want to know what is the shortcut key to open and close help window on left when we sit in vehicle.
That would be F1 👍
Totally irrelevant question, what map was this shown on? Cheers
Sure, it’s Griffin Indiana 👍
@@TheFarmSimGuy oh, looks different, been awhile since I played that one 🤦♂️
excellent video thanks. Are these all 3rd party mods or are any in modhub.
Thanks, much appreciated, I think all except 1 can be found in the ModHub 👍 I’ve put all the links in the description
Yes great mod
I have to agree to this list, i use all of them myself. And another (1865 minus 22), should be about 1843 files in my mod dir. Thats' about 1000 less than i used in fs19. Think i have to start to use folders like i did in fs19, all that mods enabled in game will sooner or later lead to trouble hehe.
Great video. Very useful. What is the map you show in the background at the beginning?
Thanks very much, it's Griffin Indiana 👍
Not a Mod but free DLC is Precision Farming - it makes me happy.
Yes an excellent addition to the game
Great video 👍 We'll meet again at this year's FarmCon, right? 😃
Yeah man, I'm already booked! 👍
Vehicle control addon is a good one to
Yes good call!!
is Relight still in the modhub or did it change names?
Relight wasn't ever in the modhub, there's a link in the description
w00t! Thanks FSG! 🤠
Any time Druac 👍
Autodrive and courseplay did not make the top 22?
Check the first video I did, I talk about it at the start of this vid
Might be me being dumb but how do you turn on the Easy Dev Console.
F12 is the default but you can change it in the keybinds menu 👍
Good informative vid, thx ! May I pls ask you, does the various mods get outdated often, as is a problem in some other games-how is that in FS22 ?
Thanks, no problem, when they become outdated if you have downloaded them from the modhub you can check and it will tell you to update them.
Great Video~!
Development Mod... Operating Time in Vechicles does that mean we can make the Vehicle like used?
Yes it sure does 👍
@@TheFarmSimGuy I like that! I hope a lot of the mods we see become basegame features as the game evolves. Next game though I wanna see GPS basegame 100%
for some reason the placeable extended mod takes me to a error mod not found screen
I still can’t get the relight mod to work it is already in my map (east Vineland NJ) as a standard but the light don’t change
Exhaust plume changing under load is base game though so what exactly is different from the mod? Curious
It’s a lot more enhanced with the exhaust extension
The basegame only has this heat effect. With Exhaust Extension, there's also black smoke when the tractor is under load. Or when you turn on a combine harvester it emits a bit of black smoke for a few seconds.
Appreciate the responses. Makes more sense. Idk if FSG mentioned more details and I missed them.
The game saver link in your description is pointing to the Dusty lands mod...
Thanks I'll update that 👍👍
I’m about to get all of those dirt mods
I realize this is 10 months old but have you had any problems lately with REAL DIRT mods (Fix, Color & Tracks)??
I don't think they are working anymore.
I use them every time I play, not noticed any issues at all.
@@TheFarmSimGuy that’s interesting. To me it seems like it works different than how it worked 3 or 4 months ago.
Are you using the Fix, Color, Tracks & Particles mods? Supposedly they are all working together now.
Something seems different though.
@@walterbrackin Yes I'm using all 4 of them, what are your issues interested to hear
Holy how does your game look so amazing ??
I don’t do anything special, but everything is maxed out in the graphics and I record in 4K, I don’t use any shaders or anything like that
Only other ones I also always have in mine is stock check, better contracts, lumber jack, advanced farm manager, store delivery, trailer axel blocker, refresh contracts, also the obvious GPS, auto-drive and Course play. So many great mods out there
Nice legion, I covered a lot of those in the first vid, but agree with every single one 👍
Hello! What map were you on? If I may ask
Griffin, Indiana.
thank you 😌
You're welcome 😊
I tried to download "Placeable Extended" and your link takes me to a German page with a download button, but when you press it all you get is a Farmhub page and nothing more? Is the link broken?
Hmm it must be. It was originally in the ModHub but then removed
Fill Level Warning link takes me to the mod hub home page and not the mod itself
0:22 what is that map name?
Been answered a lot in the comments already, it’s griffin Indiana 👍
you are the bestz!!!!!!
How cool there are some I don't have,
The only other issue I'm having is all the mods I have 90% are from modhub my computer struggles.
What is this map?
What map are you on when showing Easy Dev Tools?
Whole vid is on Griffin Indiana
My easy dev settings isn't working.can someone help me
