hello! i luv ur content and just found out about ur channel. ive subbed and i just wanted to know what you think about my pc. It has gtx 1650 ti with core i7 7th gen.
1650 TI? That's a laptop only GPU. If it's a laptop, it's a good budget gaming laptop. If it's a PC with a GTX 1650 or a 1650 Super, it's still good enough. Either way, it can play almost every game and it'll still serve well until mid/late 2024.
@@washyourhandsfast Your PC is quite balanced right now. I wouldn't touch it. In 2024 I would build a new PC on DDR5 i3 or i5 processor with a semi-modern RTX GPU & 32GB of RAM. If we get a 14th gen i3 or 14th gen i5 (non-K), I'd be looking at these CPUs for a future build. The performance jump will be huge. Wait for the reviews if these CPUs do come out and make your decision. Currently, I wouldn't upgrade anything.
Curious what your opinion on this build would be. Im supposed to pick it up in a couple days. 2tb SSD | GTX 1070 TI | I7 6700 3.5 GHz CPU | 32 GB DDR4 RAM |windows 10
LGA 1151v1 (6th & 7th gen) CPUs perform bad because of 2133-2400MHz RAM frequency limit. I personally avoid all 6-7-8-9th gen CPUs, 10th gen is just that much better, even if it costs slightly more. 4th gen is not much worse and is similar in performance. Either way, even if you have a Z series motherboard and you're able to set the RAM frequency to 3000MHz or more, you'll still have a CPU bottleneck in some games, especially if you don't set the graphic settings to high. But for a flip if the price is right, I'd get that combo.
what gpu maxmimum can an i7 6700 handle? I'm considering an upgrade but on my current gpu (1070) I want to play Madden, NBA 2K, Jedi Survivor, etc and if my current specs can handle it.
Honestly, I think GTX 1070/1070 TI is just about what i7-6700 can handle comfortably. It's not a great CPU. Those games are modern and benefit a lot from a modern CPU. I would highly advise upgrading the CPU too. You can plan what CPU you will have in the future and buy a GPU first, like an RTX 3070 or something, then upgrade the CPU + Motherboard and maybe the RAM too 'cause your i7-6700 is mostly at its limit when paired with a GTX 1070.
I'm not too sure. The disadvantage of 6700 is that non-Z motherboards only support up to 2133MHz RAM with this CPU. 4350G supports up to 3000-3200MHz RAM on any budget AM4 motherboard. That really makes a difference. If 6700 was on a Z board with 3200MHz RAM as well, the performance would be really close, but in this case, it shouldn't be. 4350G should be better by default. Also, if you go with AM4, you'll have more possibilities for future upgrades. Whereas with LGA 1151v1, you won't, you're basically locked with that CPU and RAM. This alone should be a reason to choose 4350G over 6700.
@@BenchmarkEnthusiast Thank you so much for your reply, its really informative! i bought the 4350g + A320m-k from a friend of mine for a really good price, i looked at some sites and found it outperforms the 10100f (generally) and i was skeptic because there aren't any benchmarks of it with any dedicated GPU, and having a gtx 1070 got me worried i might experience bottlenecks.
@@oussamacharif2632 It'll be good enough for GTX 1070. If you already own A320 + 4350G, there's no reason to change it. It's slightly better, but not by much. I'm a Ryzen CPU fan myself. AM4 is a lot better platform. @nila--- It's difficult to diagnose a problem like this. It's always recommended to have someone check it on the spot. Both games you mentioned really need dual channel RAM. If you don't have your RAM in dual channel, I can almost guarantee that that's the issue.
@nila--- All of the sites are wrong. It's impossible to calculate overall bottleneck like that. Also, bottleneck has nothing to do with stuttering. Nah. There are/were some generations of hardware that were great and it was really profitable to stay on that socket for a while. LGA 1151v1 was not one of them. Right now one of the better options is either DDR4 LGA 1700 12th gen, or DDR5 LGA 1700 14th gen. If I were you, I'd get i3-12100F (or non-F) CPU on a decent B660 (or better) motherboard and plan for a future upgrade. You can get the GPU if it's a good deal, but I'm mainly putting an emphasis on having a motherboard+CPU combo that is not the best to hold onto. Since I work on computers, I'm fortunate enough to have the experience of knowing the strengths and weaknesses of many hardware. That generation of hardware that you're on is really low on my list, which is why I wanna recommend to upgrade motherboard+CPU. The RX 6600 you're talking about is fine, I'd probably buy it, but you won't see too much of a difference since the CPU+motherboard will hold you back.

If it was me, I wouldn't touch that PC honestly. It is balanced already. If anything, I would upgrade the case, add some RGB and flip it like that. The point of flipping (in general) is to put the least effort, get the most value, most profit based on time/effort/money invested while also trying to appeal to the majority of the buyers and offer them a good deal. All this considered, you have a PC that is already ready to be flipped. Don't re-invent the wheel and don't fix what's not broken. This system is already flippable as is.
I would love to, but I can't. I can almost never afford games without a huge discount. Also, I don't own this hardware anymore. These are the PCs that I build for customers. I test them and then sell it to the client that ordered it.
I wouldn't say it's good. The CPU will be around 75-80 degrees, which is a bit high. It just depends on how much airflow you'll have in your case and how strong your GPU will be, cause if your GPU is weak, the CPU won't have to work as hard and it'll be lower temperature, but if the GPU is really powerful, it'll make the CPU work harder, therefore the CPU will be higher temperature, in which case you should consider a better cooling solution for your CPU.
