Hey everyone hope you enjoyed the reaction and Happy Valentines Day! Once again made this one pretty long like the first, if you want to watch this in multiple parts, please feel free!! Also will be releasing the other short Auntie Edna tomorrow at 12:00 P.M. EST or when this video gets 2,000 likes, whichever comes first😊
"So, how many powers should we give Jack-Jack?" "Yes." Every time he says "I hope Edna is in this" it only makes me more excited for when she finally does arrive lol
The Incredibles 2 in my opinion, is a noteworthy sequel. My favorite thing about it is mainly Jack Jack. His moments on screen are very enjoyable, especially with his interactions with the raccoon and Edna. If there’s one disappointing factor I have with this film, it’s the villain. Personally, I felt more engaged with Syndrome. He was just…the better villain in my opinion. Besides that issue, this Pixar sequel is very good overall. Thanks for the reaction, Nick!
A 'little late' to the video, but can we just appreciate how Violet wants start an honest conversation at the dining table? Communication is important in a family, and I just love how she instinctively picks up on this.
Bob Parr is a bored stay-at-home parent, Helen gets her time to shine, Jack-Jack comprehends his new powers, Dash is Dash, but Violet? She was such a mood throughout this sequel! 😆😆😆😆
The train rescue is a parallel to when Bob did the same thing in the first movie, to put further distance between them. He does it, people get hurt. She does it, no one does. That's why both trains tilt slightly at the end. It's also why they picked her. Not just because she's a woman, but because she makes them look good.
As an older sister with a dad and little brother who love to tease, that scene with them at the restaurant trying to get Violet and Tony together hits a very personal level for me, because I can easily see my dad and brother doing the exact same thing to me with me wanting to die from embarrassment like Violet lol
The sequel was ok. I think it could have been written a little better, but I liked watching all the characters evolve over the story. And my son thinks any scene with Jack-Jack is fall-down funny.
The Incredibles 2 will always be my one of my favorite animated movies. It has been a part of my childhood. I feel like the 2nd movie is more amplified, but that doesn’t mean the 1st one is any less greater than it actually was.
I'm gonna keep recommending Storks and The Mitchells vs The Machines, because they're great movies! I'm also surprised you haven't reacted to Onward, it's an amazing Pixar movie :3
Aaah, i'm at work right now, but now i cant wait to get home and watch this reaction! I've been waiting for this movie 😁😁 Thank you so much for reacting to i it, Nick!! ❤️ I'm SURE you loved it
I like the second part, despite some repetitions from the original. It still seems to me that the second part has more action than most modern movie comics.
0:40 I wouldn't say that Violet has two powers. She has the exact same power as the Invisible Woman from Marvel: manipulation of light, which they both can use to either refract light to make themselves invisible to others, or "condense" it into a force field. It's two uses with the same core power. I'm pretty sure Violet gets her name from "ultraviolet" because of this.
Thanks for the reaction, Nick!!! It's always so wonderful to see a video of your pop up!!! Haven't watched the reaction yet, but I hope you loved it!!!
Invisibility and the ability to make force fields typically go hand in hand in fiction. I can't remember why but it's essentially one power that enables both.
It started with Sue Storm in the Fantastic Four comics. She started out with just the power to become invisible. Readers complained that she was basically useless against the powerful villains that the FF usually fought. So, a couple of years later, to make her more useful, Stan Lee had her "discover" that she also had the power to project invisible force fields (and also to make other people and things invisible). The FF was a big inspiration for "The Incredibles." They have Mr. Fantastic (who stretches and changes shape), the Invisible Girl (who turns invisible and creates force fields), the Thing (who's super-strong), and the Human Torch (who bursts into flame and throws fireballs). And Franklin, the child of Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Girl, started to display a variety of powers as an infant.
This movie was both funny and disturbing. I think this came out just as Disney/Pixar started to get comfortable with on-screen aggressive death/torture, so it was both awesome to see Jack-Jack sneeze into different dimensions, new supers join the team (which, at least to me, seems like an analog of how some communities online and offline are starting to take off from the first people who stepped out,) and Mr. Incredible scream over New Math (obviously a poke at Common Core now, but since Incredibles takes place some time in the 60's, this would be New Math, which was just as garbage,) and disturbing to see scenes like when Elasticgirl starts suffering from Hypoxia.
Happy Valentines Day,Nick and Everyone! Btw, Nick I just immediately thought that Dr.Suess’ The Lorax might be a great animated movie for you to react to on Earth Day. Please consider doing so. I’d really appreciate it.
OMG! Yes!!!!! Like I said in the first movie reaction, when this came out I was 20 and the movies was packed, not one seat available and it was all adults. 😂 I believe 4 kids were in attendance. Social media was in a frenzy and all the memes that came out were telling kids to stay at home, this is adult business and how we waited 14 years. 😂😂 This was so iconic and I loved the second movie so much, this is coming from someone who watched the incredibles God knows how many times.
30:29 I don't think you realize the full impact of this scene. These are the some of the only supers left because Syndrome killed the rest of them. And she's meeting them for the FIRST TIME.
There is a short on Disney+ that has Edna taking care of Jack-Jack and testing him to see how his powers work it is called Auntie Edna Edit:love your movie reactions Nick lately I have been dealing with a lot of mental health issues at school and home but the only thing that has been making me happy is your videos because your reactions are pure and amazing Thank you for the reactions nick also I have a couple movies and shows I hope you react to Sonic The Hedgehog Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated Mortal Kombat Invincible Super 8 The Goonies Ready Player One Space Jam

Yay now I have something to watch while I eat lunch and wait for IT to fix my work computer thank you Nick I'm excited to see how you react to Edna and Jack Jack
I love how Bob is a little jealous, but he really wants his wife to succeed. He doesn't make it about him eventhough it's all in his face about what he also could be doing because it isn't about him. That's how much he loves his wife. He wants to feel the thrill and be out there superheroing WITH her, but he holds the reigns at home to help her along.
Yeeeeessss, The Incredibles was always one of my favorite movies. And when I heard from my best friend that the 2nd movie came out, I was so shocked and excited same time. I was jumping up and down to say the least :D
I think there's something that explains that Edna finds out about the guy that made Elastigirl's new super suit, and is annoyed, so she makes the Incredibles promise that Edna gets exclusive rights to design all future costumes for the family. It might even be in the movie (I haven't watched it in a hot minute, but I might pop it in my DVD player while I do some loot grinding in a game I'm recording right now) that it's her "fee" for babysitting Jack-Jack. I don't know if there'll ever be a third movie, but I think this one easily matches the first. And one interesting thing about the animation, in the first, they individually animated every single hair on Violet's head, which was a very difficult process, apparently. It was probably a little easier this time. A movie to suggest? Around this time of year, it might be a little late for Valentine's Day, but Roxanne is a great comedy/romance movie starting Steve Martin. Best scene is easily 20 Something Betters. I won't spoil, but there were so many good ones they had him do a few more than 20.
You might think characters look older at the start because the animation techniques improved between 2004 and 2018. I never think The Incredibles animation looks odd until I compare it to Incredibles 2 - the details are insane in the new one!
After defeating Syndrome, the family encounters a new threat known as The Screenslaver. There’s a deep contrast between these two foes. I have a theory, could the Deavor’s parents have died instead of being rescued by their heroes because Syndrome got to them first?
Say, Nick. Do you think it was a missed opportunity to include Mirage in this sequel? She redeemed herself when she helped the Parrs escape Syndrome’s island, but knowing her extensive knowledge of what it was like working for a villain, she could serve as intel to Helen. (15:26) That adjective is aptly put for this movie. 😆👍 (33:02) Vi’s face AND her reaction made everyone at my theater bust a gut. Looks like it got you too, Nick! 🤣
I remember watching this film in the cinemas, and I love so much, That i was glued to my seat, i remember not wanting the movie to end, that’s how much I enjoyed it
Violet still only has one power, there are just several ways for it to present. She manipulates electrical fields. So she can use them to maniopulate and refract light, making her invisible or use the fields to create a force sheild. I believe that's right. The Invisible Woman from Fantastic 4 had the same abilities.
Everyone has probably said this before but you have to see Auntie Edna! It takes place during the time Jack Jack stays at Edna’s place. You’re gonna love it!!!
I love this sequel because it takes place after the first one I'd say it was worth the wait and there's 2 parts i like with jack jack and when the incredabile returns
Ayyyyyy I’ll be honest at first this movie was just OK to me but then now that I’ve seen it more than just once I actually thought it got better on the second and third watch :) great video as always 🤗
24:50 the painting behind her is an abstract representation of the incredibles, with the family on one side, and Helen on the other, to show the disconnect.
I don't know if anyone has told u this Nick, but apparently Megamind is getting a sequel series made of it and since i know u loved it i wanted to let u know that u have something to look forward to!
Pay attention to the painting over Helen's bed when she tells Bob about her mission on the phone. It depicts four red shapes of various sizes - and the fifth one separately. An absurd yet clear representation of the situation at that moment
Jack Jack fighting a raccoon was the strangest thing I thought I could ever witness, but Nick’s excitement finally seeing the green lasers was great! I also love Edna’s relationship with Jack Jack as well. Her reaction to the Alexander suit killed me in theaters 😂 Edit: I agree with Mr. Incredible. Why do they keep changing math? Leave it alone.
This was an excellent Incredibles sequel! Bob had his time before but in this one it was Helen's turn! lol Just a shame about their other old superhero friends from their old days, because of Syndrome they all couldn't be there for that moment at the end when superheroes were finally made legal again thanks to Mr. Devor.
Note the screenslaver foreshadowing with the use of the 1960s Outer Limits opening (love that the subtitle credited Vic Perin) - we control the vertical.
I loved The Incredibles 2, it was a pretty awesome sequel and it was totally badass with how many powers Jack Jack had and i think it was good development for Bob as he learned to be a stay at home dad, i especially loved Helen's new super suit it was so amazing!!!
I think (after some looking in tvtropes) that the 'Superheroes outlawed' business was first portrayed in comics in the 1970s, when DC retconned the retirement of the Golden Age superheroes in the early 1950s (of Earth-II) as the result of congressional hearings, analogous to the historical House Un-American Activities Committee, demanding that the Justice Society reveal their secret identities; they refused and went underground. Note that it was Senate hearings on comics that led to the Comics Code Authority and the demise of many titles in the real world. In the 1980s, two series separately portrayed such a situation: Watchmen, and 'Batman: The Dark Knight Returns'.
In regards to Bob learning Dashs math, remember he was an insurance broker. Math was a big part of his job. Dispite the whole "strong meat head" stereotype, hes actually very intelegant. Just look at him in the first movie. The only reason he didn't understand the math, wasn't that math changed but the formulas used to find the solutions. Which was actually something that happened in the 50s.
here is the list of what makes both of "the incredible" good as they are now. 1 the storylines. 2 the musics. 3 The desing characters. 4 emotions plans. 5 psychologic plans. 6 graphisme. 7 relations between characters. 8 jokes. 9 lines. 10 design costumes. 11 the fluidity between scenes. 12 acting voices. 13 the twists. 14 the personnality of each characters.
I’m pretty sure everyone knows this but some people might not know. The reason why Jack Jack’s name is that and he has a lot of powers is because he’s a jack of all traits. That’s why he has multiple different powers because he can do anything
25:02 Reminds me of that exchange in "Watchmen" Laurie: It's like I hardly even know John anymore...I can't tell if he really cares, or if he's just pretending. Dan: If he's pretending, it means he cares.
Ive been slacking so much on RUclips but im finally catching up on ur reactions to movies . 🥰🥰 hope youve been doing great nick. I waited years for this movie to come out , i grew up with the first one and was so excited to finally watch the second one when it came out it was amazing .
Might I suggest the short, Auntie Edna. It shows Jack Jack's time with Edna as she studies him and designs his new super suit. Something tells me you'll love it.

I love this movie so much, I fell like it's alot better then the first one, I really like that it focus more on the kids , I especially love violet she is one of my my fave movie characters of all time
I agree the first one is more connective but this one is still a lot of fun Also! Did you know that Evelyn Devor, her name is a play on the term "evil endeavor" foreshadowing her being the villain. Which yeah it's a bit on the nose, but it's interesting they made that choice. Also x2 I also loved Jack Jack in this too. He was so adorable!!

crazy that there was a 14 year gap between the movies and the voices are still spot on

"Yes."

Same here omg ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ironically, there's a short where Edna takes takes care of Jack Jack in her house and she examined his like quote unquote 17+ powers

Agreed. Plus we all know that Incredibles 2 is a WAY better sequel than Cars 2.
@@MinecraftJimmy7951 Same
Her motivations were better though
@@MinecraftJimmy7951 I love Cars 2
Should Mirage have returned too?

He isn’t bored. He isn’t with his kids like that like how Helen is
I love what they did to the Disney and Pixar logo sequence, making it fit the Incredibles theme, that was awesome!
The train rescue is a parallel to when Bob did the same thing in the first movie, to put further distance between them.
He does it, people get hurt. She does it, no one does.
That's why both trains tilt slightly at the end.

I figured both of Violet's powers were about defense and connected to her lack of confidence, but it is weird she has invisibility and a shield.
Invisibility and the ability to make force fields typically go hand in hand in fiction. I can't remember why but it's essentially one power that enables both.

The film's basically Ghostbusters II.
I’m pretty sure everyone knows this but some people might not know. The reason why Jack Jack’s name is that and he has a lot of powers is because he’s a jack of all traits. That’s why he has multiple different powers because he can do anything
Fun Fact: Jack-Jack's real name is John Jackson.
25:02 Reminds me of that exchange in "Watchmen"
Laurie: It's like I hardly even know John anymore...I can't tell if he really cares, or if he's just pretending.
Dan: If he's pretending, it means he cares.
Best Valentines Day Gift

Might I suggest the short, Auntie Edna. It shows Jack Jack's time with Edna as she studies him and designs his new super suit. Something tells me you'll love it.

I love this so much more than the original. Loved the villain (and their backstory) and the focus on Elastigirl while still having the family dynamic.

To be fair I like both Incredibles Movie But in different ways
Incredible’s 2 is one of my favorite Disney movies
I agree the first one is more connective but this one is still a lot of fun Also! Did you know that Evelyn Devor, her name is a play on the term "evil endeavor" foreshadowing her being the villain. Which yeah it's a bit on the nose, but it's interesting they made that choice.
Also x2 I also loved Jack Jack in this too. He was so adorable!!
Lol her name being Evelyn Devor was a good hint. Evil endeavor
