Disney and other movie references: Mary Poppins - Dame Julie Andrews, who starred as the title character, is the narrator. The divorced couple, Mr. and Mrs. Banks, are named after characters from the movie and the bird lady from the bus Giselle talks to says "Do you want to feed the birds? Only a dollar a bag", a reference to a character and song in the movie. Also, one of the elderly male dancers during That's How You Know was a chimney sweep. The dance also takes clear inspiration from the choreography in Step in Time. The Sound of Music - The shot where Dame Julie Andrews sings "The hills are alive with the sound of music" is re-created during the That's How You Know number when Giselle runs up the hill. Giselle makes a dress out of the curtains just like Maria does. Snow White - True love's kiss. The front of the troll's loincloth consists of pieces of clothing of former Disney princesses, including Snow White's dress. When Giselle appears in the real world she mistakes someone for Grumpy. When Robert and Giselle are walking through Central Park, an evil face can be seen carved into the poisoned apple, similar to the one seen when the evil Queen dips the apple in poison. The queen disguising herself as an old woman and offering Giselle a poisoned apple. The song True Love's Kiss is an homage to I'm Wishing. Happy Working Song shares similarities with and is inspired by the songs Whistle While You Work and Heigh-Ho. Additionally, the musical number references similar scenes from the movie. Sleeping Beauty - True love's kiss. Giselle creates her dream man just like Aurora does. The back of the troll's loincloth consists of pieces of clothing of former Disney princesses, including Aurora's "peasant" look. Robert's surname is Philip, which is the first name of the prince. Queen Narissa transforms into a dragon-like beast at the end, the same as Maleficent, and when Narissa reveals the unconscious Giselle behind her is the same way Maleficent reveals Aurora to the fairies. Cinderella - The back of the troll's loincloth consists of pieces of clothing of former Disney princesses, including Cinderella's "peasant" look. The castle on the billboard for the Palace Casino is modeled after Cinderella's castle. During Happy Working Song when Giselle is scrubbing the bathroom floor and her reflection appears in the soap bubbles is a nod to a similar scene in the movie. Nancy's surname is Tremaine which is the surname of Cinderella's stepmother. Giselle losing her shoe and Prince Edward putting it on Nancy. The song True Love's Kiss is an homage to A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes. Happy Working Song shares similarities with and is inspired by The Work Song. The Little Mermaid - At the beginning when Prince Edward hears Giselle sing he says that he must find that voice, the same way Prince Eric does when he hears Ariel sing. The troll's earrings are the same shells as Ariel's. Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel, plays Robert's secretary. While Giselle is looking in the fish tank at Robert's work, Part of Your World is playing in the background. That's How You Know is an homage to and a parody of Under the Sea. Giselle and Robert heading out on a rowboat is a nod to Kiss the Girl. Beauty and the Beast - The front of the troll's loincloth consists of pieces of clothing of former Disney princesses, including Belle's dress that she wears throughout most of the movie. When Edward is flipping through TV channels in the hotel room, the woman on the soap opera is Paige O'Hara, the voice of Belle. The soap opera's background music is the title song and the scene itself is similar to the bandaging scene. Happy Working Song shares similarites with and is inspired by the songs Belle and Something There. That's How You Know is an homage to and a parody of Be Our Guest. The chandelier shot in the ballroom is a perfect copy of the one in this. Pocahontas - Judy Kuhn, the voice of Pocahontas, opens the first door Edward knocks on in Robert's building-the pregnant mum with all the kids who says he's late (as in Prince Charming). The Lady and the Tramp - The restaurant at which Edward and Gisele have dinner is called Bella Notte, the name of the song being sung while Lady and Tramp are eating spaghetti. Mulan - When Gisele climbs the tower to battle Narissa there is a brief shot of her standing with the sword on the tower, a shot nearly identical to a shot featured in the scene when Mulan is battling Shan-Yu. The Lion King - Pumba makes a cameo appearance at the end as one of the animals waiting in line for Pip's autograph. Bambi - Thumper (rabbit) and Flower (skunk) make a cameo appearance at the beginning. West Side Story - Two of the elderly male dancers during That's How You Know were dancers in the movie. Hidden Mickey - The bus driver's hair is shaped like Mickey Mouse's ears, as well as the green pepper slices on the pizza Robert and Giselle are served at the restaurant. In the scene where Edward is on the bus, in the background large posters can be seen advertising the musicals Rent and Wicked which starred Idina Menzel. A poster can also be seen for the Broadway production of Hairspray-James Marsden starred in the 2007 movie-and a poster of Superman Returns in which James appeared as well.
Thinking about the curtains/dress thing, now I’m wondering how much of Giselle’s behavior is “from a magical fairy tale world” vs “feral child raised by talking animals in the middle of the woods”
Many Easter eggs from other classic Disney movies. Some of the actors and actresses did voices for Disney fantasy cartoon movies, even the ones that sang in them. Robert is wearing the suit that Giselle dreamed of at the ball. Her dream was actually him, not Edward.
This movie's definitely got a lot of fun references to other Disney films, even in the smaller details - Playing Part of your world in the lobby with the fish tank while the voice actress for Ariel was the front office clerk, the minor key Beauty and the Beast song in the soap opera, with Belle's voice actress acting in the show, etc. Central Park is a veeery popular place for couples to take their wedding photos, so those people there were probably not all getting married in the park on that day but there for some nice pics. A fun fact: A lot of the roller bladers in that song are regulars at the park who meet up every weekend, that's where my uncle and aunt met actually :) A lot of people were upset that nancy didn't sing any songs, but Idina Menzel was actually happy to have a role where it wasn't just about her singing. I do like that Nancy was struck by grand, romantic gestures and ended up swept off her feet bit a literal prince :)
I just love this movie, I'm so glad you decided to watch it! My favorite moment is the dance when Robert starts singing, although it was always weird for him when Giselle started singing.
There is a sequel called Disenchanted which was released on Disney+ in 2022, 15 years after this one (it takes place 10 years later). Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Idina Menzel all reprise their roles (Idina and Patrick both sing in it), along with some new cast members. It's certainly not as good as this one but it's an interesting and a quite original concept. Fun facts: This movie was in development for many years before finally getting made. It was originally going to be R-rated as the first draft of the script had Giselle ending up at a bachelor party and being mistaken for a stripper. It is the first feature-length Disney movie which mixes live-action and traditional animation since 1988's Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Disney actually did not do the animation since they had shut down its 2D animation division. Instead they turned to James Baxter, one of their former employees, who had his own company by then. 7:40 "Is this Cinderella or Snow White?" Yes. And so many more 😂 The movie and the character of Giselle is based on multiple different Disney princesses and the movie contains a lot of references to those movies (and others). Disney had originally planned to add Giselle to the Disney princess line-up but decided against it when they realised they would have to pay for life-long rights to Amy Adams' image. This was the movie that made her a household name. She was among 250 actresses who auditioned and the studio had favoured the casting of a bigger star, but director Kevin Lima (who also voices Pip) wanted her due to her commitment to the part. Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson, Drew Barrymore, Kristen Bell, Laura Dern, Zooey Deschanel, Salma Hayek, Uma Thurman, Renée Zellweger and Christina Aguilera were among those considered to play Giselle. James Marsden auditioned for Robert but was later cast as Prince Edward. Keanu Reeves, Sean Penn, Charlie Sheen and Rob Lowe were considered to play Robert. Russell Crowe was considered as Prince Edward. Geena Davis, Anjelica Huston, Jessica Lange and Julianne Moore were considered for Queen Narissa which eventually went to Susan Sarandon. 7:23 "Why does this guy look like Wormtail?" Because it IS 😂 Amy Adams actually crawled into a real New York City manhole just so that she could be filmed climbing out of it. The people on the tour buses laughing and pointing at Edward weren't extras but real tourists. In the scene where Edward is run over by the cyclists, James Marsden was actually hit by them for real. The cyclists were just meant to "bump" him and he would fake a fall. But he didn't think it looked good so he insisted on filming the collision for real. Shooting the That's How You Know musical number took 17 days due to extreme weather changes. It was also hard due to Patrick Dempsey's intense fanbase since it was at the height of his popularity in Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Derek Shepherd (aka Dr. McDreamy). In preparation for the ball scene, Patrick Dempsey accidentally ripped Amy Adams' toenails. As we see Giselle progress into a modern woman, so does her wardrobe. She begins in the over-the-top wedding gown (which weighed 45 pounds/20 kg and she fell several times under its weight), then to the very princessy long gown, to a very girly but short dress and finally into a modern evening gown. In the same way, Robert's wardrobe goes from suit and tie to more casual clothing and ending in a very prince-like outfit at the ball. In fact, the outfit Robert wears at the ball is identical to the one on the mannequin Giselle makes at the beginning. When Giselle and Robert are walking through Central Park he says that most people get to know each other before they get married and Giselle says she knows what's in Edward's heart. Later, when Giselle gets angry at Robert in his apartment, she moves closer to him, presses her hand against his heart and looks up at him in shock. Then when Robert gives her a true love's kiss at the ball to save her life, Giselle awakens, looks at him and says "I knew it was you", indicating that she was able to feel his affections towards her the night she got so angry. At the end of Robert and Giselle's dance, when Nancy cuts in, the camera angle makes it look as though she is wearing a crown. This foreshadows that she will become the future ruler of Andalasia when she marries Edward. Idina Menzel, a Broadway legend and Tony Award winner (who also voiced Elsa in Frozen and appeared on Glee), does not sing in the movie. Though Nancy and Prince Edward were originally supposed to sing a duet called Enchanted (which got replaced by the ending song Ever Ever After by Carrie Underwood-which contains the word "Enchanted"), in an interview she said she felt flattered to be hired mainly as an actress. Patrick Dempsey does sing a little bit when Robert sings along with the song at the ball. There was also a villain song for Narissa called Nobody Gets In My Way that was supposed to be used but it got cut. In spite of three songs from the movie being nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars (Happy Working Song, That's How You Know and So Close), they were beaten by Falling Slowly from the movie Once. For some reason Amy Adams only sang Happy Working Song and Kristin Chenoweth (Glinda in the original production of Wicked/April Rhodes on Glee) sang That's How You Know. Demi Lovato did a cover of That's How You Know as part of a Disney cover album. She also did a cover of Let It Go on the Frozen soundtrack (and ending credits) which was of course sung by Idina Menzel.
lol you combined the fairytale stories. Snow White is the one who was given the apple by the old lady (undercover Evil Queen), but the one who could turn into a dragon is Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty. The stories are pretty similar, they both fall asleep and get woken up by true love's first kiss. But Snow White is the story where the Evil Queen is jealous of Snow White's beauty and tries to k!ll her (magic mirror on the wall & the 7 dwarves). Sleeping Beauty is the one where Maleficent is just evil for the sake of it, cursed baby Aurora to prick her finger on a spindle and D!E on her 16th birthday (but a nice fairy changed it to a deep sleep).
Fun fact from a fellow Marylander - you missed the 2 "Disney Princess Eggs" in the movie ... Edward's secretary was played by Jodi Benson (she voiced "Ariel" in "The Little Mermaid") & when Nathaniel was switching channels on the TV and was drawn to the woman in the make believe soap opera, that was Paige O'Hara (she voiced "Belle" in "Beauty & The Beast").
There's more than these. The woman in the apartment who says 'You're too late' is the singing voice of Pocahontas. And obviously Nancy is Idina Menzel who voices Elsa but she wasn't Elsa yet when this came out so not really an Easter egg. Not a princess easter egg but a Disney one is that some of the old men who do the little dance during that's how you know were chimney sweeps in Mary Poppins
I love this movie so much and it introduced me to both Amy adams and Patrick Dempsey! But I knew I would be in tears of laughter watching you guys react to it.😂😂 There is a lot to cringe over but I love it so much!!
The reaction Nick and Cory have to the stepmother showing up as the witch in real life is the exact reaction I had as a 7 year old in cinemas watching this for the first time
This movie was forecasted by Kevin Lima, Who directed Tarzan and A Goofy Movie(Very Underrated). The story book is kinda giving Snow White. No, It’s giving Cinderella. Also This movie wasn’t animated by Disney, Cause at that Point in the studio, They abandoned 2d Animation, So this movie was animated but the same studio who Animated The Curios George Movie. Also the statue that Giselle Builds is foreshadowing that It was Robert who Giselle was dancing with. The casting in this movie is perfect. 3:19 IT’S JULIE ANDREWS! QUEEN! 3:22 Cause this movie is supposed to be parodying Snow white and the Seven dwarfs, Which was the First ever animated movie. So They’re paying Homage to Snow White and the seven dwarfs with an Evil Queen, that movie came out in 1937 and This movie came out 70 years later. Animated Nancy and Edward look like Snow White and Florian. Even the voice actors for Ariel, Belle, and The Singing voice for Pocahontas, Make appearances in this movie. 4:32 Alan Menken. 10:50 That’s Realistic. 11:48 That’s Actually Great that Robert is giving his Daughter a book about Strong Females. 16:54 I would Burn that Bath tub. 18:13 Wait till you guys see a African and Timor Giant Rat. 21:52 Wicked Poster in the Background. I’ve never seen Wicked but I hear it’s good. 51:33 This was the same year. 2007.
there are so many hidden gems in this movie…. 03:07 -- the storybook opening references to the nearly ideal storybook opening scenes from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Cinderella 03:18 -- the narrator is voiced by Julie Andrews who played Queen Clarisse in 2001’s The Princess Diaries and Mary Poppins in the 1964 film of the same name 03:20 -- Narissa opening the curtains is a reference to the Evil Queen in Snow White doing the exact same thing when she is introduced in the film 03:52 -- before she presents her “true love,” to the animals, she holds the diamonds for his eyes, in front of her eyes referring to Dopey from Snow White doing a nearly identical action 03:53 -- note the outfit that her “true love,” is wearing and then the outfit Robert wears at the ball later in the movie; 45:56 03:53 -- Giselle makes her dream man in this scene just like Aurora did in Sleeping Beauty with the animals; the owl in the red coat she was dancing with just before she met Prince Phillip 04:39 -- one of the potential sets of lips Giselle uses is a crab and some believe this is a reference to Sebastian from The Little Mermaid and another is a bitten into apple referencing the poison apple Snow White took a bite from 05:07 -- her singing to draw the animals to her is another reference to Sleeping Beauty because Aurora did the same thing; she would pick berries in the forest, start singing, and all the animals would come to her 05:59 -- part of the troll’s loincloth has pieces of clothing on the back that look remarkably similar to outfits that Aurora and Cinderella wear in their movies 06:01 -- Prince Edward’s horse is named Destiny which is an homage to Samson, Prince Phillip’s horse from Sleeping Beauty 06:39 -- after Edward saves Giselle, they ride off into the sunset together referring the ending scene of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with Snow White and Prince Florian riding off into the sunset after saying goodbye to the dwarfs 07:15 -- the carriage Giselle rides in on her way to her wedding is referring to the carriage Cinderella and Prince Charming ride off in after their wedding 07:58 -- the old woman Narissa disguises herself as to trick Giselle is in reference to the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs which comes up later again in the movie 10:08 -- of course, Grumpy, from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; we love him! 11:25 -- Robert’s receptionist, Sam, is played by Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel from The Little Mermaid 12:08 the castle on the billboard is modeled after the castle in Cinderella 16:32 -- Giselle’s “Happy Working Song,” is a nod to the Dwarfs “Whistle While You Work,” song from Snow White, and “The Working Song,” from Cinderella 16:41 -- when the pigeons helped Giselle with her apron before cleaning, it’s referring the blue birds that helped Cinderella before she would start her work day 17:05 -- it’s not shown in the video but when Giselle is scrubbing the bathroom floor, there are bubbles surrounding her which is referring to Cinderella again scrubbing the floors of the castle with bubbles surrounding her too 18:44 -- Robert’s full name is Robert Philip meaning he’s named in homage to Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty 19:16 -- Nancy’s full name is Nancy Tremaine in reference to Lady Tremaine, Cinderella’s horrendous stepmother and Nancy is played by Idina Menzel; the eventual voice of Elsa in 2013’s Frozen 24:35 -- the name of Robert’s law firm, Churchill, Harline, & Smith LLC is an homage to the songwriters for Snow White; Frank Churchill, Leigh Harline, and Paul Smith 25:29 -- the caramel on the poisonous apple is designed exactly how it was on the poisonous apple in Snow White 28:42 -- during the “That’s How You Know,” song and dance, Giselle and Robert are seen on a rowboat referencing the “Kiss the Girl,” scene from The Little Mermaid with Ariel and Eric 29:42 -- the woman on the TV is played by Paige O’Hara, the voice of Belle from Beauty and her name is Angela in reference to Angela Lansbury; the voice of Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast 31:35 -- the restaurant they’re eating at is called Bella Notte Restaurant; the name of the same song played during the spaghetti kiss scene in Lady and the Tramp 34:43 -- that is Judy Kuhn; the singing voice for Pocahontas 38:29 -- the couple we see throughout the movie at the law firm are the Bankses; they’re named after the family from Mary Poppins and they make-up and live happily ever after in Mary Poppins, as well 41:58 -- that specific camera shot of Giselle and Robert dancing under the chandelier is a direct nod to the nearly identical scene of when Belle dances with the Beast during “Tale As Old As Time,” in Beauty and the Beast 44:08 -- of course, referencing when the Evil Queen disguised herself as what’s referred to as the old hag to trick Snow White into eating the poison apple 44:38 -- the scene where Giselle faints after biting the poisonous apple is directly mirroring the scene from Snow White after she bites it 47:15 -- referencing true loves kiss from Snow White and Sleeping Beauty 47:07 -- Narissa’s transformation and dragon form is referencing Maleficent’s transformation and dragon form from Sleeping Beauty 47:38 -- Giselle leaving behind her shoe referring to Cinderella losing her slipper after both the ball and her wedding before getting into her carriage 50:35 -- Edward fitting Nancy for Giselle’s shoe referring to the Grand Duke fitting Cinderella for her lost slipper, from the ball, confirming she was the one Prince Charming danced with there are plenty more references, homages, and nods in this film but these are some of my favorites🖤
I fcking love how the “so close” scene is always so perfect and lovable to me, and you guys just made it into a really dirty song and now I'll always remeber that when I see the movie 😂😂😂😂😂
Robert didn’t believe in love or romance. Giselle taught not only learned what real love was but she taught Robert that love & romance can be good things. Nancy wanted love & romance but Robert wasn’t giving her that. Edward rescued her & gave her exactly what she wanted
They were referencing many different fairytales but it was still it's own story. The dragon is Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent, evil queen and apple is Snow White, and Cinderella's heel tropes
I never understand why people question the events of fantasy movies 😂 like this is a movie about a cartoon princess falling through a sewer drain into the real world and becoming 3D. Obviously it is not based on reality so why can’t Giselle throw a sword in the rain and have it perfectly pin Robert to the building 😂
I assume the reason the squirrel didn't write in the real world is because the self-absorbed Prince is illiterate and makes his squirrel servant read to him when he can talk in cartoon world.
This is so weird, I just dreamt that I met you guys in the town square of Budweis, I was visiting my bff and you were visiting the famous brewery. Then I woke up and lo and behold, a new video!
So in this film the actress that voice Ariel, Belle, Mulan and some others are in the film … Patrick Dempsey assistant is the voice of Ariel from the Little Mermaid
Disney Versions: Snow White - given poison apple by the wicked queen disguised as old lady -7 Dwarves put her in a glass coffin, prince saw her, kissed her and she awoke Sleeping Beauty/Aurora - cursed by Maleficent to prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel, prince battled Maleficent as a dragon, kissed Aurora and she awoke Cinderella - treated cruelly by her step-family, but her fairy godmother gave her coach, gown and glass slippers to go to the ball, lost a slipper at midnight, prince tried shoe on every maiden until he found her

Nancy is played by Idina Menzel, who is the voice of Elsa in Frozen.
I just love this movie, I'm so glad you decided to watch it! My favorite moment is the dance when Robert starts singing, although it was always weird for him when Giselle started singing.
When I saw this pop up i dropped everything!. This is a classic!!❤ thanks for reacting to it
There is a sequel called Disenchanted which was released on Disney+ in 2022, 15 years after this one (it takes place 10 years later). Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Idina Menzel all reprise their roles (Idina and Patrick both sing in it), along with some new cast members. It's certainly not as good as this one but it's an interesting and a quite original concept.
Fun facts:
This movie was in development for many years before finally getting made.
7:23 "Why does this guy look like Wormtail?" Because it IS 😂
Amy Adams actually crawled into a real New York City manhole just so that she could be filmed climbing out of it.
She also did a cover of Let It Go on the Frozen soundtrack (and ending credits) which was of course sung by Idina Menzel.
as a New Yorker, I can confirm we are immune to random bs LMAO 10:31
Watched this constantly as a kid, something about this movie is always magical no matter how many times I watch it
lol you combined the fairytale stories.
Girl, it's all classic white princesses from the first Disney Animation Renaissance combined😅 Snow White, Aurora, Cinderella...
I love this movie so much and it introduced me to both Amy adams and Patrick Dempsey! But I knew I would be in tears of laughter watching you guys react to it.😂😂 There is a lot to cringe over but I love it so much!!
i used to be obsessed with this movie! glad you guys are watching it!
46:24 the prince smiling in the background cause at the end of the day he loves true love

Y'all always make me laugh, but you REALLY had me in stitches this video 🤣
OH. MY GOSH. I just got back from work and plopped onto my bed with a bottle of lemonade to try and find a good video to watch and BOOM
26:51 you both under Gisselle's singing spell too! lol
8:26 That is a mix of Snow White and Sleeping Beauty 😂
Literally 😂
I’m so glad you’re watching this I get so stressed with people voting in your polls man 😂😂😂
Nick going crazy on Corey cause he won’t stop singing is hilarious! That Disney magic gets us all…
he was like STOPPP
This was the first movie I’ve ever had on CD (I’m 21) and it has such a special place in my heart 😭
"She has butterfingers" lol, it's a riff on how she needs a prince to save her
I love the idea that disney princess song powers effects animals AND people. hence the flashmob lmao
How do I knowwwwwwwww he loves me how do I knowwwwww he’s mine one of my fav Disney songs
I love with the old lady jump, scares everyone. I watched a lot of people react to this movie and it’s funny how the old lady jump scares everyone.
NEED to watch Ella Enchanted next PLEASE I BEG
The reaction Nick and Cory have to the stepmother showing up as the witch in real life is the exact reaction I had as a 7 year old in cinemas watching this for the first time
27:18 NICK OH MY GOSH DEEP BREATHS

like this if you think nick and cory should start coordinating outfits!!!!!!! s'cute
34:44 That's Judy Kuhn she's Pocahontas!!!

your profile pic :,)
Yall have been killin it with these reactions lately lovin it ❤👏🏻
That is the actor that played Wormtail.
i love this movie idc what any of y'all say!!
YES YES YES TO THIS REACTION FINALLYYY
there are so many hidden gems in this movie….
03:07 -- the storybook opening references to the nearly ideal storybook opening scenes from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Cinderella
03:18 -- the narrator is voiced by Julie Andrews who played Queen Clarisse in 2001’s The Princess Diaries and Mary Poppins in the 1964 film of the same name
03:20 -- Narissa opening the curtains is a reference to the Evil Queen in Snow White doing the exact same thing when she is introduced in the film
03:52 -- before she presents her “true love,” to the animals, she holds the diamonds for his eyes, in front of her eyes referring to Dopey from Snow White doing a nearly identical action
03:53 -- note the outfit that her “true love,” is wearing and then the outfit Robert wears at the ball later in the movie; 45:56
03:53 -- Giselle makes her dream man in this scene just like Aurora did in Sleeping Beauty with the animals; the owl in the red coat she was dancing with just before she met Prince Phillip
04:39 -- one of the potential sets of lips Giselle uses is a crab and some believe this is a reference to Sebastian from The Little Mermaid and another is a bitten into apple referencing the poison apple Snow White took a bite from
05:07 -- her singing to draw the animals to her is another reference to Sleeping Beauty because Aurora did the same thing; she would pick berries in the forest, start singing, and all the animals would come to her
05:59 -- part of the troll’s loincloth has pieces of clothing on the back that look remarkably similar to outfits that Aurora and Cinderella wear in their movies
06:01 -- Prince Edward’s horse is named Destiny which is an homage to Samson, Prince Phillip’s horse from Sleeping Beauty
06:39 -- after Edward saves Giselle, they ride off into the sunset together referring the ending scene of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with Snow White and Prince Florian riding off into the sunset after saying goodbye to the dwarfs
07:15 -- the carriage Giselle rides in on her way to her wedding is referring to the carriage Cinderella and Prince Charming ride off in after their wedding
07:58 -- the old woman Narissa disguises herself as to trick Giselle is in reference to the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs which comes up later again in the movie
10:08 -- of course, Grumpy, from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; we love him!
11:25 -- Robert’s receptionist, Sam, is played by Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel from The Little Mermaid
12:08 the castle on the billboard is modeled after the castle in Cinderella
16:32 -- Giselle’s “Happy Working Song,” is a nod to the Dwarfs “Whistle While You Work,” song from Snow White, and “The Working Song,” from Cinderella
16:41 -- when the pigeons helped Giselle with her apron before cleaning, it’s referring the blue birds that helped Cinderella before she would start her work day
17:05 -- it’s not shown in the video but when Giselle is scrubbing the bathroom floor, there are bubbles surrounding her which is referring to Cinderella again scrubbing the floors of the castle with bubbles surrounding her too
18:44 -- Robert’s full name is Robert Philip meaning he’s named in homage to Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty
19:16 -- Nancy’s full name is Nancy Tremaine in reference to Lady Tremaine, Cinderella’s horrendous stepmother and Nancy is played by Idina Menzel; the eventual voice of Elsa in 2013’s Frozen
24:35 -- the name of Robert’s law firm, Churchill, Harline, & Smith LLC is an homage to the songwriters for Snow White; Frank Churchill, Leigh Harline, and Paul Smith
25:29 -- the caramel on the poisonous apple is designed exactly how it was on the poisonous apple in Snow White
28:42 -- during the “That’s How You Know,” song and dance, Giselle and Robert are seen on a rowboat referencing the “Kiss the Girl,” scene from The Little Mermaid with Ariel and Eric
29:42 -- the woman on the TV is played by Paige O’Hara, the voice of Belle from Beauty and her name is Angela in reference to Angela Lansbury; the voice of Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast
31:35 -- the restaurant they’re eating at is called Bella Notte Restaurant; the name of the same song played during the spaghetti kiss scene in Lady and the Tramp
34:43 -- that is Judy Kuhn; the singing voice for Pocahontas
38:29 -- the couple we see throughout the movie at the law firm are the Bankses; they’re named after the family from Mary Poppins and they make-up and live happily ever after in Mary Poppins, as well
41:58 -- that specific camera shot of Giselle and Robert dancing under the chandelier is a direct nod to the nearly identical scene of when Belle dances with the Beast during “Tale As Old As Time,” in Beauty and the Beast
44:08 -- of course, referencing when the Evil Queen disguised herself as what’s referred to as the old hag to trick Snow White into eating the poison apple
44:38 -- the scene where Giselle faints after biting the poisonous apple is directly mirroring the scene from Snow White after she bites it
47:15 -- referencing true loves kiss from Snow White and Sleeping Beauty
47:07 -- Narissa’s transformation and dragon form is referencing Maleficent’s transformation and dragon form from Sleeping Beauty
47:38 -- Giselle leaving behind her shoe referring to Cinderella losing her slipper after both the ball and her wedding before getting into her carriage
50:35 -- Edward fitting Nancy for Giselle’s shoe referring to the Grand Duke fitting Cinderella for her lost slipper, from the ball, confirming she was the one Prince Charming danced with
there are plenty more references, homages, and nods in this film but these are some of my favorites🖤
3:01
I’ll give you one better: The Chronicles of Narnia. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (2005)
Need I say more?
My suggestion is "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story"
I was JUST looking for enchanted reactions yesterday✨️✨️
you should watch pretty woman it’s one of my all time fav movies 🥹🤍🤍🤍
Its a great movie and watching you attempt to sing is always hilarious
19:54 😂 their reaction
The evil stepmom did all that for nothing because the princess was not her son's true love's kiss lol
My mom loooooved this movie 😭
About you guys singing. Last time I heard something like that, a cat got its tail caught in a window fan.
I fcking love how the “so close” scene is always so perfect and lovable to me, and you guys just made it into a really dirty song and now I'll always remeber that when I see the movie 😂😂😂😂😂
saw the whole ad cause its you guys. ilyallllllll sm
YEEEEEEEEHEEEEESSSSS!!!!
This was one of my favorites to watch with my mom! 🥹🥰
29:42 That's Paige O'Hara! The voice of Belle! 🔔
Oh my gosh I’m late but thanks so much for finally watching this. I’m excited
11:26 That's Jodi Benson! The voice of Ariel! 🧜🏼♀️
You guys should react to Cinderella once upon a Song, Zombies, How to train your dragon 2, Hitman's Bodyguard and Night School
16:11 cause he’s a prophet
The singing is just elite haha
I never understand why people question the events of fantasy movies 😂 like this is a movie about a cartoon princess falling through a sewer drain into the real world and becoming 3D. Obviously it is not based on reality so why can’t Giselle throw a sword in the rain and have it perfectly pin Robert to the building 😂
Right? Realism in film is so overrated.
I watched it for the first time a year ago and it is legit the greatest movie of all time
It's a beautiful movie. I miss when movies and romances were made like this. 💙
The soundtrack was probably the best thing about this movie right next to the acting
Fun Fact Nancy is behind Elsa’s voice (from frozen)
I assume the reason the squirrel didn't write in the real world is because the self-absorbed Prince is illiterate and makes his squirrel servant read to him when he can talk in cartoon world.
the coordinated fits are giving improv night 💀
Your singing is the best part:)
“IRL in the Well” I NEED THIS ON A SHIRT
If you want another original fairytale: Stardust. It's very VERY good.
My suitemates and I love this movie!!!!❤
27:47 THE MEME😂😂
19:15 That's Idina Menzel! Elsa! ❄️ from Frozen 🏔
Patiently waiting for them to watch disenchanted aka the enchanted 2!!!
This is so weird, I just dreamt that I met you guys in the town square of Budweis, I was visiting my bff and you were visiting the famous brewery. Then I woke up and lo and behold, a new video!
Are bugs not considered animals anymore...?
So in this film the actress that voice Ariel, Belle, Mulan and some others are in the film … Patrick Dempsey assistant is the voice of Ariel from the Little Mermaid
Now you HAVE TO WATCH the sequel! 😊
Everyone rocks out to HOW DOES SHE KNOWWWWW😂 everyone accepts the fate anyone enjoying the flash mob
I love both your reactions to when the evil queen appeared old 👵and when she wiggled her tongue!😋😳😱🤣
This is a parody, and it is gold. It is kind of a mix of several fairy tales.
This movie is my entire childhood and I mean that bc it came the year after I was born
You guys should watch Once Upon a Time. They talk about what happens after Happily Ever After.
The chipmunk hilarious 🤣
Sometimes I feel like with social media we are forgetting a lot of shit cuz how the fck you guys don’t remember Snow White 🤣?!?…
Disney Versions:
Snow White - given poison apple by the wicked queen disguised as old lady -7 Dwarves put her in a glass coffin, prince saw her, kissed her and she awoke
Sleeping Beauty/Aurora - cursed by Maleficent to prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel, prince battled Maleficent as a dragon, kissed Aurora and she awoke
Cinderella - treated cruelly by her step-family, but her fairy godmother gave her coach, gown and glass slippers to go to the ball, lost a slipper at midnight, prince tried shoe on every maiden until he found her
There is also Disamchanted now thats the 2nd movie
That troll looks like Harry Potter’s Troll that almost killled Hermione in the bathroom
Every time they say to check out the podcast, that’s debatable, im like huh, y’all want me to check out the podcast or not? What’s the debate 😭
