Schecter's Diamond series are simply the imports. As opposed to the US made custom shop stuff.
It's also worth noting that the diamond series are still set up in the U.S. So while they are made overseas they still go through the US shop for a final quality check and setup.
Appreciate that info!
Yes Specifically the South Korean made models are Diamond series. They do also have an Indonesian plant. The South Korean models are considered their best quality production instrument. The US models are of course at bit better and more expensive but are considered customs so very limited runs.
@@loneponderer495 I have had good experiences with Korean made instruments. My esp is from Korea.
I just ordered a schector stiletto extreme 5 for my son. Hopefully it is Korean.
@@1997LT1Camaro I have 4 Schecters all from South Korea. They are all built very well.
Ive owned one of these for 20 years. i learned a lot in 10 minutes here. Thx.
God this bass is gorgeous. I always used to get these confused with Warwick. Anyone else? It’s definitely got that vibe.
I own many Shecter guitars and basses. I have a Stiletto Studio 4 in transparent black satin with dark chrome hardware. The EMG's and neck-through are amazing on this bass. One of my main go-to's 100%.
Nettes Review..! Schön wäre es, genaueres über das Hardware, ob schon echtes Schechter-Zeug.
Danke, weiter so!
Ach, ja, .. earlier today, I had a left-handed version of this guitar set back for me. Amazing sound in absolutely gorgeous!
I love this video, after i just bought a bass like this from Japan used at €400. So if the bass is without damage or flaws, only normal wear for being played the shop says. It looks like i have bought a good bass. There was many pictures in the ad, and they looked OK. A bit worn finish on the gold colored bridge and tuners. Frets and fingerboard, pickups and wood looked nice. Now i'm looking forward to when my new used bass are here in Norway. Thank you for this 4 years old video. It gave me hope i did a good buy.😁
After having my new used Schecter Stiletto Studio 4 about one month, I can say it's a very good instrument. After mounting new strings and set up the neck and bridge, this bass is comfortable to play. And the EMG 35 hz pickups sounds awesome. I can have the strings low over the neck, with no fret/string noise. And I can play with light pressure on the strings. A little patina on the bridge and tuners, and the rest is nice without scratches or damage. I'm happy I bought this used bass.
I had one and wish I kept it. The neck through the body is heavenly. I will probably get another one.
Hi, french person here, thanks so much for your review ! I've been spending the last couple of weeks looking for the perfect instrument. At first glance I wasn't quite sure but your video did a pretty good job of convincing me : I need that bass guitar. Have a great day ! Vielen dank !
Louis, thanks for your comment. Very good choice!
This video helped me to decide on buying stiletto studio 4 fretless looking forward to getting it. Apparently it’s the last one in production. The particular model has been discontinued, expecting it to be arriving in June.
Thanks Ove! I've been trying to convince myself to pull the trigger on the Schecter Stiletto 4 Limited Edition Purple Sunburst... now i feel like its worth it
It is a diamond series bass. Stiletto is the model. There are many Stilettos: custom, stealth etc. This 1 is a Studio. Love the neck thru. Good video!
Well technically "stiletto" is the body style(Riot, Stiletto, Omen etc).
Studio-4 is the model (custom, elite, extreme, studio, stealth, session, etc)
Schecter's "Diamond series" are simply the imports.
This will be the bass i buy next
Good review thanks Ove
Ove,, thank you ,,I own one and love,,and beautifully explained.
Thanks floyd ;-)
What was the name of the second riff you played
The tapping? I was interested in learning more about this too?
Thanks Ove for your Vid. I asked T-mann for a quote of the Fan-Fret version of the one you held in your hands. they demand on July/2020 1119€ without any return option and payment in advance. so the sound of this instrument has to be real good. Deliverytime will be about 4-5 Month to germany.
How much weight Stiletto4 ?
How exactly do you adjust the intonation of one of those basses?
Nowadays under the name of "Stiletto Studio"
Needed MORE info on what the bass SOUNDS like. Not where it was made, That could have been done in the video description. Front pickup, rear pickup, blends of both, full bass. Different eq settings, not your personal setting. ITS A DEMO man.
Lee, thanks for your comment. I think a review can help you make decisions with information more than with sounds. All players are different and in the end you have to check the instrument in a shop or at home if it fits your taste. But I hear you though and will be more on the soundside in future GearChecks.
The neck is a flat C shape... that's a B ...lol just kidding...
Iam goino have this bass, Schecter Stiletto Studio 4here in about 15 daysor sooner. And I fully looking forward o itMY Girlfriend and her Motherare going From the u.k. and I am fly back around Juneand I am put a Band together involving my Girlfriend she plays Guitar, I am to play bass.
Yo Ken, sounds like great plans ;-) Thanks for watching!
So he knows the history of Schecter but not that Diamond SERIES is a series, and Stiletto is a MODEL of that series. Pretty basic stuff.
In buying one to replace a Reverend bass that was a decent bass but hard times had to sell. The studio 4 honey satin or purple quilted? Multi scale or standard?
The looks is what you prefer. Multiscale is better if you want to play lower tunings
