    Thanks alot for doing this on an EM2 lol I'm having a leak problem within my pillars and its traveling behind the dash. You guys have the most in-depth take apart vid here, and it gives me the confidence to do this myself . Thanks guys

    Dog food was out there by mice lol. I have a mouse problem I’m going to be cleaning out on my em2. This is very similar to removing the dash in my Evo 8. Except I just dropped the steering wheel instead of removing it not sure if that can be done here. Thanks for the walkthrough.

    Thanks for capturing all that on video! I've been afraid to tackle this because of the airbags, but looks pretty casual the way you took care of them.
    I'm chasing down debris from a mice infestation. Does the dash being removed give good access to the heater core and ventilation system?

    • @AbnormalGarage
      @AbnormalGarage  2 года назад +1

      Yes, removing the dash will give easy access to all of that

      @@AbnormalGarage thank a mil. Got the whole dash out. One thing I didn't do which you do (and I should have paid closer attention) is leave the steering wheel nut on (loose) while popping the wheel off. When mine came it snagged the wire clips and popped the top of the clock spring off. I wound it back up to where it's got 2+ turns in either direction but I think replacing it is the better call.
      Leave the nut on the steering wheel while you're bopping it, folks!

    • @AbnormalGarage

      The black dash we pulled out is a 2003, the car that it’s going into is a 2001. The dashes are the same.

    Useful video. Fine with clips and screws, but once you said "unhook the airbag", I realized my candy ass would be paying a pro, to remove my dash to find the dead animal within.

    Do you think this dash will fit inside a 98 ek civic? The same way you do the 99-00 dash conversion? Air vents, heater core and all that?

    I need to paint my dash and I'm assuming I need to remove the dash to do this? because removing this looks like a huge pain in the ass

    • @AbnormalGarage
      @AbnormalGarage  4 года назад

      If you're going to paint your dash then I'd definitely remove it. The hardest bolts to access are the ones that are tucked behind the radio bezel. Other than that it's pretty simple.

    Lesson learned: do not use old wiring

    Do you need to remove the fuse box on drivers side?

    • @AbnormalGarage
      @AbnormalGarage  5 лет назад

      It just needs to be unbolted from the dash. You don’t have to completely remove it.
