    Will John helped me to get to where I am today ( playing college soccer at Baker University-NAIA), so keep watching these videos and follow his advice!
    Also, another great way to get introduced to college soccer and what it takes to be a student at a college is by attending Junior Colleges or a 2 year college. There are hundreds of them in the US. I played with many Foreign players from (Paraguay, Russia, Honduras, Nigeria, Ghana, Slovakia, England, the list goes on) and American players. I was fortunate enough to get a full ride and that helped pay for my first two years of college. Now I will be transferring to a four year school to finish my degree!

    I appreciate the video man. I'm currently attending ASU & starting for their club team as they don't have a men's D1 team. We travel around the nation, and just recently had a friendly against FC Tucson, a PDL team! I hope to find a way to keep progressing in the sport because I've been playing at my best lately! It's tough without the proper connections, but excuses never helped me anyway!

    I’m a freshman in high school and I am still very confused as to how I can get my cv to college soccer coaches and what year I should send them my cv.
    My 2 questions are
    When should I begin to send my Cv to coaches?
    (Sophomore, Junior or Senior)
    And
    Who do I send my CV to?

    • @Goluremi
      @Goluremi  Год назад

      Sophmore Junior are most important times. Video along with CV of course
      CV's and Videos are going directly to head coaches with regard to college soccer. Assistants are good as well.

I play at High School level team and i am trying to get into varsity, my coach keep on telling us we need to play faster and better, but i am not confident on the ball and loose the ball a lot. Can you make a video on how to play in that competitive environment and how to do well. Thank you

    • @Goluremi
      @Goluremi  8 лет назад

      To be honest getting confidence on the ball and in fast paced environments will come with time.You have to train and play with faster and older players if possible. The ball should be one of your best friends. Check out some of the drills we've got up here. If you stay consistent they'll definitely help.

    I hate the US system for soccer. there are many kids that have amazon skill that do not need to worry about grades! what i mean by that is why would a college pass up on someone who has messi / CR7 skill and not offer them a full ride? Why is that college charge $250 on avg for ID camps when Mexican pro team have open free try outs? Mess/CR7 never had the idea of having to pick a major to live their dream! our system forces great talent to focus on two things school and sport as for the rest of the world they develop their talent and skill to grow into a star studded athlete. Dont get me wrong school is great but most of these kids have soccer first in their minds ad education / school will never go away, but to strive for a dream is the hardest thing to do and the US limits that for our youth.

      Cause it’s college 😂 why promote failing college when someone is paying for it (it is never free) and less than 1% make it pro. And not everyone that makes it pro gets paid ludicrous amounts of money you do realize that right? Many especially in lower divisions have to get “normal” jobs to get paid after their professional career.

Im currently not in the US but ill be going there next year for highschool and im pretty confident i could find a top club and get into my highschool team. Anyway my question is if it is possible to get into a college being really short? maybe 5'5 or 5'6. Thanks

    • @bigting9803
      @bigting9803 6 лет назад +1

      Zenex firstly mate whine in the cocky bullshit, you obviously haven’t been picked up by a pro team as you’re asking if your height matters. If you were playing in the top tier of football for your age you would know that your height isn’t the most important thing, as long as you’re strong and can hold your own you’ll be fine.

    • @zenex5313
      @zenex5313 6 лет назад +2

      Complete Football - Actually I havent been picked by a pro team because there ARE NO pro teams here in the philippines. Although i have been picked to play in an all-star game at one of the biggest tournaments in the country. Ive also been in 2 NATIONAL tournaments (philippines is really small so this is kinda a big deal). I will be going to the US next year and i will be playing for the biggest club i can find + my highschool team. I believe i can get into a college if i work hard.
      But my question was mainly if a coach will reject me for someone taller, maybe stronger, but with much less skill and speed? Or will he choose the smaller person with better game sense and skill.

    • @bigting9803
      @bigting9803 6 лет назад +1

      Zenex Philippines do actually have a pro league but still don’t offer a great standard of football so it will be hard to compare yourself to players overseas, are you going to America strictly for football or are you family just relocating?
      Any knowledgeable coach under the right circumstances would pick the better player, if you are surrounded by taller and more physical players you would be fine.
      Also you would have a better chance of playing at a higher level if you can walk the walk

      Brandon Milburn i cant remember what it is i wanted to know since i commented about 8 months ago but i want to know now is it worth transferring from a division 3 school (that is becoming a division 2 school this coming fall) to a division 1 school if this coming fall i will be a senior? And also if i am the captain of the club team at my school and I basically have a tryout for my current school should i still go for it? Lastly will coaches accept you on the team if your gpa is exactly a 2.0 for the semester cause i had an awful semester this fall and i know that spring tryouts are coming up for my school and i just want to know if i am eligible to play and if i cant in the spring can i tryout in the fall?

    • @brandonmilburn
      @brandonmilburn 7 лет назад

      Message us on our Facebook fan page if you can? What college are you at, and what college are you trying to transfer to? What are you trying to accomplish by transferring, and what is it going to do in terms of making you a better player and student? Changing schools isn't always the answer to solving issues regarding soccer and grades. Try to focus on doing better in your classes in 2017, then try to set some specific goals that you think you can achieve this year. Only worry about improving, do not worry about your past.

    I have a question, I am currently homeschooled but will be moved to a private school next school year. I am currently in 9th grade, never been on a team (except rec) so it's not like I have any highlights to send to coaches , and probably wont be on a team until maybe 10th grade or after. Am i too late for the college soccer process ? I just dont know where to start. My parents cant pay for a trainer for me and so far I have learned all my skills purely from youtube. I'm ready to prepare for college soccer I just dont know where to start because I feel like I am late. Someone please help me out with advice it will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

    And I was playing football since 3 join a club at 10 and my parents made me quit at 13 so I could try and balanced school grades and stuff and the reason my dad made me quit cuz he said I was a little scared but I have the skills, speed crosses but its just my fear is ruining my chance. Could you make a video how to become more braver in a match and I might join now I'm currently 16 and is it late or I still have chance.

    Hey, John!
    I want to go pro, and I am part of a soccer team outside of school, but I am also with my high school soccer team. My soccer team outside if school does not really give me a chance to shine in my CB position, and instead they put me as a CDM. I get all of the support at my school with the CB position because that is what I stand out at. What do you recommend me to do with my outside of school team?

    • @Goluremi
      @Goluremi  8 лет назад

      +David Nevarez You could and maybe should look at it as a positive. As long as you're able to play and develop as a CB there's nothing wrong with working on your weaknesses as a CDM. It will help your career if you're able to play in more than one position on the field.
