With Video and short ones and long ones. Good job keeping it simple and I love the part where you were talking about branding yourself. Man in the U.S all of this sending videos and highlights is crazy. In South America you just show up to a club ,try out and if ur good they are going to recruit you! Here the grind is not normal , its like the scout dont care, all they want is a Messi player. For this reason , the USA will never be a top football country. Their strategy to scout players is horrible. Only the rich kids get a place in. Even zlatan and maradona said it.
AWESOME advice! I did not know that a coach would go to the academic side and ask what they'd be willing to give up based on your grades alone, then they'd end up sharing the burden. That's even more incentive for kids to bust their ass in school!

If you are good enough you will have professional possibilities like trials or straight contracts depending on your performances. If you are not good enough you can work very hard and find trials by yourself💪⚽️
What if you can’t get highlight videos because in America, playing for a academy, club, or school, is so costly or impossible to do. I believe I work so hard for soccer but I am scared I won’t get recognized because of where I grew up. There are no academies or schools near me with proper soccer training.

I was wondering the same thing so I did a bit of research and I learned that you should start around your second year of highschool but the earlier the better

I have been playing football since the age of 5 but I've never actually recorded anything , as you mentioned covid did kind of effected us and never got to get my footage . But my gpa is as of now 4.3 and I am so stressed because I can fit everything but I don't have the proof of my highlights , I am in need of advice thank you in advance!
Gotta be smart. Think about your positioning off the ball. Try to give yourself an advantage before you get it so you’re already a step ahead. Keep it simple as well. Use your teammates to give you a numbers advantage. If you are faster, try and get your body in front of them so the only thing they can do is foul you.
Soccer is about who is the smartest. You can be ad fast or physical as possible but if you don’t understand the game well, you will not make it. Watch the game a lot and read about it to become the smartest on the pitch.
If you play in high school ask your coach to talk to the Athletic Director about purchasing one for the school, or ask your school's arts department to borrow a camera and have a friend record the game. If you play club, ask the coach, or fundraise as a team to get a camera and tripod. A parent or team manager can record games.

Be good enough to deserve one, and have the freaking required grades. I have recruited at JUCO,D3 and NAIL level schools. YOU CAN NOT SELL A COACH YOU. Your High School Coach is way more important than this stuff. HE knows what is right for you. I always talked to the HS coach first and told him which player I was interested in .And watched LIVE both games and practice. I was dam good at recruiting, and my teams won .You will also been seen summer league. We already know you.

If you perform well with your club or at the college level, you will receive calls from coaches for trials or immediate contracts if the team is really in need. You can always have an agent that finds you trials to do. There are many opportunities in soccer which is very unique for the sport💪⚽️
I definitely suggest you to start at your sophomore year but to even spend more time in your junior year, so that your senior year you can official visits to find the best place💪

Showcases are great to be recruited by colleges and coaches. You have to show your skills but still play simple and not over complicate your game. I wish you the best in the future💪
From your most recent video it looks like you play a lot of through balls (I like playing those too), you play good but you can work on your decision making and passing some there were some errors, finishing is good one missed but it comes and goes Overall I like how you played I’ll see some other videos later

Some D2/D3 schools don’t finalize their recruitment until around mid to late spring. Start emailing now! Doesn’t matter what level, just advertise the most you can and something will come up. Best of luck fam.

It’s never too late. Try to email a lot of coaches or do showcases to show your abilities and skills to the colleges Coachs. Send as much emails as possible and your highlight video has to be the best version as possible also. All your best actions have to be there and the okay ones not.
