To be fair, New Leaf got those new mini games through a free update THREE YEARS after it first launched. Meanwhile New Horizons is barely over a year old.
Nintendo just needs to drop a new leaf remake while we wait for the next game. Cuz it ain't coming anytime soon. A new leaf remake would put up big numbers. Not new horizons numbers....but that will never happen again most likely.
I have spent like 150 hours or so on New Leaf. Like I would play that for hours on end. New Horizons I play for an hour or 2 and then put it down for months.
@@Paddy-if3nd I put like 320 hours into ACNH but I put like 120 in acnl but I enjoyed acnl more. A is perfect for New Horizons mostly due to lack of good villager dialogue and lack of stuff to do assuming you don't have friends. TT^TT But it's great for the rest.
That's exactly what I felt NH was lacking, I missed doing favors and playing games with my villagers like in NL. It's been a while since I played but I don't remember any repeated dialogue in NL unlike NH.

Amiibo Festival was part of Scott the Woz's Dark Age of Nintendo trilogy of videos along with Mario Tennis Ultra Smash and Chibi-Robo Zip Lash. Its place in D is well deserved. God of War would be an interesting series to do a tier list on. Having played all of them, except for the weird mobile game, I can definitely say there are differences between them; the PS4 one especially so.

New Leaf is honestly the only true Animal Crossing game I’ve played. Forgot about Pocket Camp’s existence, but I wanna say it was a really fun game and I do wanna give New Horizons a try. As for suggestions on tier lists, might I suggest something Persona related? It is the 25th anniversary of Persona this year after all.
New Leaf felt like a great game and the Welcome amiibo update only made it better. Too bad I only played New Leaf and all the spin-offs (yes, even amiibo Festival)
No matter our thoughts on each AC game, we can definitely all agree that Amiibo Festival belongs on poop tier. (Though I’m surprised you managed to make a whole video for this, since there’s only five mainline AC games and three spin-offs.)
At least in New Horizons, people don't just place their houses on areas I do not want them to or do not move out at random like in New Leaf. New Leaf had more stuff though but I like her personalisable New Horizons is, also not playing for a while is not as punishing.
I would personally rate the original higher for a couple of reasons that frustrate me about every other Animal Crossing game. First, the in-game console worked (you could play a number of full NES games, and that was pretty awesome), a feature not included in any other entry. And second, you had to work to impress the villagers. They were pretty dickish in the Game Cube game at the start. That was more fun for me--the New Horizon villagers especially are way too nice.
New Leaf has charm, characters, fantastic details, minigames, awesome music... It's amazing. New Horizons has some new things and lacks MANY things from the previous games which makes me so sad... B Tier.
The only Animal Crossing game I've played is New Horizons. The villager dialogue is lacking and I find that villagers of the same type will often say the exact same lines. I also find that for a game that wants you to play daily and to keep playing even after you've finished the storyline, there really isn't much to do. Its a relaxing game, so it can be fun just to fish or hunt insects, but if you don't log for a while then come back just to do that, the game goes out of its way to make you feel bad about being gone for so long...and when I'm logging just to chill for a bit, the last thing I want is a guilt trip.
Because it's a Scammy game, making unfinished game for 60 bucks and with less content than the old crossing games is just a joke. New horizons did not provide any new content, all the content was the same as the old titles. I was really hyped for this one but it was disappointing. I won't even count it as an Animal crossing game
My favorite animal crossing is and always has been the first one. This is because it had fully functional NES games as unlockable bonuses. When wild world came out I saw arcade machines advertised as items in the game. One problem, they don't function. I was expecting to unlock the donkey Kong arcade game as a playable bonus, but nope. No gaming within a game for me anymore. Animal crossing dropped functional items and focused on all the other crap I didn't like. Plus Nintendo decided to start selling those classic games pracemeal via the virtual console. Then they took that away and are currently renting out the usability of official emulators. Basically animal crossing was virtual console 1.0. And the classic game availability front keeps getting worse every time.
Maybe a tier list on every power up in the Mario games? Glad Rabbid did ranking all the Pokemon Starters, which felt like a easy win to branch out from not just ranking games, otherwise he would run out of ideas fast. Maybe ranking all the Dark Souls Bosses? Or the Colossi from Shadow of the Colossus perhaps? A waifu tier list for a series...
Thanks for the list. I used to only be able to play the ds version at night, so I never got much done but at least in NH I can time travel if I miss a day which is nice.
Honestly the first animal crossing is an S tier for me as the villagers had character, not all of them were nice and some were straight up bullies, also the retro games were an amazing addition, also it felt bigger than all the other ones. It may have flaws but, its leagues better than city although not quite as good as new leaf.
Gotta disagree with AC Gamecube in B below City Folk and home designer while also having wild world being above AC Gamecube. I also think new horizons should be lower as it doesn't really feel finished as of now, it still feels like we are in a beta stage of the game.
My hot take is that I prefer New Horizons over New Leaf. I just love terraforming and crafting way too much to fully enjoy an AC game that doesn't have it. I enjoyed New Leaf but I was addicted to New Horizons.
Yeah I have so much more time on new horizons. But I have more memories playing new leaf. I feel like happy home really changed what they wanted to do with New horizons.
Happy home doesn't like my decorating style. I have the interior of my home decorated as a park: wallpapers & floors that are nature themed, fountains, statues, plants, and green colored furniture. Happy home seems to think that I need furniture and themes for my rooms...
new horizons is the most a game has ever disappointed me in my life, i give it a c, gets boring immediately its been a whole year and they've barely added anything to make it fun
@@sunspot5 Im not a huge ac fan ive only played new horizons cause my gf begged me to get it so we could play together. And we watched chuggaaconroy play new leaf
For the most part, New Horizons did a pretty good job as a game. The thing that did get old a bit fast, though, were one, the dialogue. There doesn’t seem to be a big deal on the dialogue, which makes things very bland. I keep hearing features that were in the previous games never making it to the Switch, and the worst one was the whole limitation. I think you needed a new Switch AND game if you wanted a different island. That.... is terrible
New horizons removed too much, New Leaf had WAY more content. Adding crafting was great on the surface, but once you realize the lack of content underneath, it was very disappointing :(
City folk has more to offer than wild world, it’s superior. Wild world is mediocre. Happy home designer is underrated. Pocket camp is boring. Amiibo festival isn’t that bad. New horizons lacks content and doesn’t feel like animal crossing. New leaf is over the top amazing in every way. The original is pretty boring but we wouldn’t have animal crossing without it.
New leaf kept me for ages. The gamecube one kept me for about a year solid. New horizons I lost interest about 4 to 6 months in. Played em all and they're all worth a try. All are at the least decent. Except amiibo fest. It's not really animal crossings imo
I'd love to see an Ace Attorney tier list, since those games are pretty much all story. Would be an interesting way to rank since it's a bit more subjective.

It may have flaws but, its leagues better than city although not quite as good as new leaf.
Rate the Yokai watch games for the 3ds. There are plenty of them; more than animal crossing games, in fact.
Gotta disagree with AC Gamecube in B below City Folk and home designer while also having wild world being above AC Gamecube. I also think new horizons should be lower as it doesn't really feel finished as of now, it still feels like we are in a beta stage of the game.
Metroid would be a manageable tier list
Ah, good ol' animal crossing.
Bounced off of wide world pretty hard, but ive been at new Horizons for over a year now
If new leaf was on switch I would be so happy because it’s my favorite animal crossing game
Should I get happy home designer?
ACNL>ACNH
Mario power up tier list?
My hot take is that I prefer New Horizons over New Leaf. I just love terraforming and crafting way too much to fully enjoy an AC game that doesn't have it. I enjoyed New Leaf but I was addicted to New Horizons.
I'm starting to think I'm the only person in existance who enjoyed amiibo festival. I think its relaxing and a good social game.
Should you really be putting games in a tier list if you've said "I haven't played" or "I don't remember" when discussing them? Lol
You did this as well as anyone could Rabbid
Yeah I have so much more time on new horizons. But I have more memories playing new leaf. I feel like happy home really changed what they wanted to do with New horizons.
Happy home doesn't like my decorating style. I have the interior of my home decorated as a park: wallpapers & floors that are nature themed, fountains, statues, plants, and green colored furniture. Happy home seems to think that I need furniture and themes for my rooms...
new horizons is the most a game has ever disappointed me in my life, i give it a c, gets boring immediately its been a whole year and they've barely added anything to make it fun
New horizons had Celeste.
So did new leaf...
Literally every game since Wild World has had Celeste...
@@sunspot5 Im not a huge ac fan ive only played new horizons cause my gf begged me to get it so we could play together. And we watched chuggaaconroy play new leaf
@@Guardian-of-Light137 Ah good choice chugga’s ACNL play through is 👌. I’d recommend new leaf if you haven’t played it
@@sunspot5 I haven't, but my gf has. She's a huge ac fan. One day we'll play it though
New Horizons doesn't have Brewster...Bottom-Rank.
Interesting
