South park is an adult sitcom with hilarious jokes and very suggestive content, not about who is going to date who.
He literally married a Jewish woman and became a rabbi in an alternate universe. There are only Freudian explanations to this. He couldn't be with Kyle, so he settled with the next best thing. Also, dating someone Kyle had a crush on could be seen as a proxy of dating Kyle himself. Also Cartman has already shown a lot of gay tendencies. Dude literally dressed up as Britney Spears and danced around in his backyard. Not to mention that he, as well as Stan, is voiced by Trey, and they are known to have a very strong friendship.
Without Kyle in his life, Cartman molds his entire life to Kyle's standards. With Kyle in his life, Cartman can't stop making his life miserable. Kyle is really Cartman's problem. He is still present even if he starts a family and children. It was also recently confirmed to us that both Cartman and Stan are capable of feeling jealous if Kyle makes other friends or leaves the quartet (both became jealous of Kyle and Token's friendship). Stan openly acknowledges this jealousy but Cartman hides it through the excuse "that he does it for Stan because he feels alone without Kyle." Kenny is the only one who doesn't depend on Kyle in the quartet.
I agree and I know that Kyle would never want to be anything more than friends with Cartman. But Cartman is crazy so that makes sense. So many little things that also shows Cartmans crush were left out.
I agree. It's actually wild that if you watch closely, nearly every episode with the four boys being featured has the two fighting, plotting, yelling at each other.
There seems to be a lot of evidence to suggest Cartman is at least bi. In the Raisins episode, he completely ignores the raisins girls and is way more focused on the food, while the other boys are all mesmerized by the girls. Also he imagines himself having sex with Cupid Me in “Tweek x Craig.”
I 100% agree with you on this my dude. If Cartman really hated Kyle as much as he said he does, he would have him be killed or worse. Think about what happened to Scott Tenermen. So if Cartman hates Kyle so much why did he go through and save his life twice? Once in Imaginationland Part II (in which he legitimitly seemed upset that he though Kyle was dead) and the other is Smug Storm. The Cartman we know would have also told Kyle that he was the one to save him, and would say that he owes him. But Cartman tells no one. Only he and Butters know.
I definitely agree with it, and don't know how this affects the argument but I see Cartman with a sort of Joker/Batman feeling for Kyle, where he wants Kyle only to himself, needs him alive, because it completes him, gives him someone to constantly rip on and want to see lose.
He was tearing up when Kyle revived, so yeah I guess he does care for him for some weird reason, but since Cartman is basically a chaos god in this cartoon I dont see him ever confessing or having Kyle acept all the abuse just for love
i don't think it's him repressing it, i think it's just him being a literal 9-10 year old boy who isn't concerned with figuring out his identity just yet
I think a Cartman really does have feelings fo Kyle but he’s trying to suppress it the best he can. Kyle, on the other hand genuinely does hate Cartman and only tolerated him because of Stan and maybe Kenny hang out with him.
yeah although i can see the pontential of cartman maybe liking/ having an obsession with kyle i think that really any cartman pairing would be incredibly fuckimg toxic because cartman is a toxic person
I think it could work, but they'd need to make a lot of changes... They need to grow and mature more as people and hopefully they can eventually forgive each other. Especially for a certain side (Kyle with Cartman) Though Kyle had immense trust issues with (mostly) Cartman
No, he went to Kyle because his dad is a lawyer, and he was hoping to use that in order to not go to school lmao. You’re referring to the one-line joke that is made, but he didn’t go over to his house just to say that
As a Kyman shipper I feel strongly that Cartman has a thing for Kyle, but I admit if Cartman were to "confess" Kyle would dump him quickly there is to much evidence stacked that Kyle absolutely hates Cartman and lets say it does become a real relationship, well it wouldn't be all sunshine and rainbows 💀
This is amazing to see a theory like this come from a guy, I've never heard this come from anyone else but fangirls before, and you really went in depth with this theory and finding evidence! Props to you!
I've been saying it for years, but the "Cartman Finds Love" episode sealed it for me. Whether he wants to be or not, Cartman is in love with Kyle, no doubt in my mind : P
Great theory that I think Matt and Trey would have fun with, but they didn’t think that far ahead, and all of what cartman does is purely for his sick pleasure. Kyle is his Batman “I don’t want to kill you, no. You complete me”
yeah he does love him, but only because he enjoys messing with him. it’s love but it’s the only love that somebody like cartman can understand. you can see this through how he’ll go to extensive lengths to save kyle, which shows he does care.. but the catch is it’s only because he knows if he loses him he wouldn’t have him to mess with. kyle would never feel the same way.
DUDE. I had the same theory just from seeing some stuff from the show I’m watching it completely now (I’m only in season 4) BUT WOW, with this dude, for me, is as good as confirm, if he doesn’t have a crush in Kyle then IDK WHAT it is, it usually annoys me when there are unnecessary love conflicts or stuff like that on series, BUT I CANNOT WAIT for Cartman to realize his crush IT’S GONNA BE A MESS AND I’M SO EXCITED Oh, and in a side-note I think there’s also prof of this in the game TFBW in the beginning where you have to search for Cartman’s diary in his room and when you find it, there’s some drawings of his classmates doing sexual acts, and it kinda says something that the most prominent character in those drawings is Kyle (there’s also Butters and Craig which I believe Cartman at least have some attraction to them too but not at the same level of his attraction to Kyle)
I've always believed Cartman is gay and is in love with Kyle it just makes so much sense And also Cartman making his hand J-Lo that has a crush on Kyle, it's already happened with Mr Garrison and Mr Hat/Mr Twig projecting his "gay self"
It’s not healthy to think that someone likes you when they are mean. It can lead to thinking abusive relationships in the future are normal. Kids should learn that them being picked on isn’t a form of love. I do think Cartman is gay for Kyle though. 👌
I always thought it was the other way because Kyle is constantly getting involved in cartmans B plots in episodes, whenever cartman is up to something Kyle always has to be there to stop him but you always see other characters like Stan and Kenny telling Kyle to stop coz it won’t change anything yet Kyle always wants to be involved.
As Fangirl showed, he started dating her when he got all his tech destroyed by the guys. When he started using Alexa, he got a "girlfriend" that required no effort, so he began being increasingly tired at her. At the same time, he's so co-dependent he couldn't dump her, thus threatening to suicide at every turn. Ultimately, he changed her so much that she developed the strength to dum him
this video is amazing because you're talking about this theory on a level where even those who don't ship kyman(like myself) can see the connection. Big approval
Cartman obviously has an obsession, and Kyle also has his occasional moments for being kind with cartman after thinking he’s genuine. Their dynamic is nice
Yeah Eric is pretty gay for Kyle, even as a kid I remember watching and thinking "he's only bullying him to hide his feelings" I was what? 10? SO it's pretty obvious. I kinda ship it, just because it's hilarious.
All kyman shippers start like that. First it's "haha Cartman probably has a crush on Kyle", then it's "why did Kyle bother to get Cartman out of trouble in Jewpacabra, why was Kyle willing to give up the money he had saved fom three consecutive birthdays just to get Cartman out of his own mess, etc." then it's "damn I've been overanalysing these characters' interactions in the show and reading slowburn enemies to friends to lovers fanfiction for the past few weeks". Welcome to the club, bud ✌️
Maybe Kyle reciprocates those feelings, and while Cartman isn't aware of it Kyle might be, the friendship of the four is built around Cartman for Kyle. "You're getting old" Stan suffers with feeling depressed and Kyle avoids him to go hang out with Cartman and play video games, and in South Park lore staring at someone, smiling and playing video games is considered a big deal. "Jewpacarbra" has Cartman hounding Kyle again, he ends up chained in a bunny suit and Kyle says he'll help if Cartman admits to lying, in the end Kyle takes Cartman to bed and Cartman gets made an honorary Jew the next day. In the newest episode where Kyle is in camp, Cartman is made an honorary Jew again. "Tegridy farms" Has Cartman vaping and once again Kyle is trying to get him out of a situation, he lets things happen but when Cartman is at risk he offers his birthday money allowance to bail Cartman, three years worth. Kyle has also had some messy feelings when it comes to Cartman and Heidi's relationship.
Kyle literally shows not one hint of interest in Cartman. The whole reason why he was disturbed by Cartman is bc he A. Most likely had feelings for Heidi. B. Couldn't believe that one of the most hated and asshole-ish people got to date someone nice and caring like Heidi. And C. He also needed Cartman to be mean (to help him) and found the sudden change in his personality to be disturbing to say the least.
Nah. I think Kyle is entertained and repulsed by him, and in several episodes, he barely considers Cartman a freind. I think Cartman’s obsessed with Kyle, but Kyle will never reciprocate it
don't ship Kyman for the same reasons as you, that being the i can't see Kyle reciprocating those feelings. But yeah, this is totally a thing. And could i just say.. if the creators make this a real thing in the final season it will go down as the SINGLE GREATEST TWIST in ALL OF TELEVISION HISTORY! Talk about going out with a bang!
I don't know if Cartman's "in love" with Kyle; but there's definitely some kind of "can't live with him, can't live without him" thing going on between them... Maybe some weird codependent thing...
@@thecommie9992 I think I was referring to band in China! When Cartman had Kyles entire family detained Stan got so pissed off about it he sent Cartman to the detainment camp and then he is (Stan) is writing songs another how much he hates his dad and how much he misses his super best friend cause he never gets to see him! Then at the end of band in China when Kyle and cartman get off the bus Stan yells kyles name super happy ! There is also the moment in Tweek x Craig where they show Stan looking just as confused and lost as they show Tweek x Craig and Thomas (Craig’s dad) which could imply something about Stan’s sexuality because it turned out Tweek x Craig were actually gay (put it down (Craig calls him babe and honey in private) the fractured but whole (the entire game is a Creek love fest and Craig actually tells the new kid he is gay) most importantly Trey and Matt have confirmed Creek is canon) So you really need to wonder the significance of that moment when they show all of them staring at the celling in confusion! It could be very angsty and I think looking back over the series there are several episodes where Stans reactions towards Kyle seem to be way more then that of just a super close friend! Them making Tweek x Craig canon was the first time though I was like would It be possible they would actually also make one of the other(main) boys bisexual and at least have them address them having a crush on one of their friends so even if we don’t get canon style we get like canon style! Imagine how hilarious it would be Stan trying to talk to Craig about Stan liking a guy (Kyle) without trying to give anything a way and Craig’s just like “ I don’t care “ and he just walks away or something 😂😂😂
i just need an episode where cartman confirms this and then he can move on and forget abt it lol , like he can tell butters or just a scene of him alone bro. ik that would have jaws on the FLOOR.
literally every piece of "evidence" here was borne out of either personal gain (ex. token/nichole) or for kyle's humiliation, which cartman would very much do anything to accomplish. i do think that cartman is obsessed with kyle, but it's definitely not love imo
There are scenes where Kyle cares about Cartman too! The one that comes to mind for me is in Jewpacabra when Kyle brings Cartman home at the end of the episode and tucks him in bed. They also worked really well together in the ass burgers episode.
Yeah there’s definitely something that Cartman feels a strong love for Kyle. Whether it’s him seeing Kyle as a best friend or something more depends on Matt and Trey. But knowing the two it’s someone more.

Stan openly acknowledges this jealousy but Cartman hides it through the excuse "that he does it for Stan because he feels alone without Kyle."
Kenny is the only one who doesn't depend on Kyle in the quartet.
Also that one scene from Its A Jersey Thing where Cartman goes *”You’re my little monster”* 👀

Kyle barely even wants to be friends most of the time 🤣
@@Ky0Mii that is true😂😂
@@Ky0Mii 😂
There seems to be a lot of evidence to suggest Cartman is at least bi. In the Raisins episode, he completely ignores the raisins girls and is way more focused on the food, while the other boys are all mesmerized by the girls. Also he imagines himself having sex with Cupid Me in “Tweek x Craig.”
I reallly wanna see an episode where cartman realizes how he feels about kyle😂😂 he would have a mental breakdown
Facts
He would be like: no.. it cant be.... NOOOOOOO!!!
He would legit give himself amnesia to cope
That would be a good one

I 100% agree with you on this my dude. If Cartman really hated Kyle as much as he said he does, he would have him be killed or worse. Think about what happened to Scott Tenermen. So if Cartman hates Kyle so much why did he go through and save his life twice? Once in Imaginationland Part II (in which he legitimitly seemed upset that he though Kyle was dead) and the other is Smug Storm. The Cartman we know would have also told Kyle that he was the one to save him, and would say that he owes him. But Cartman tells no one. Only he and Butters know.
You forgot when Cartman pinched Kyle's cheek and said sth like "You are my little monster"
Here’s link :D ruclips.net/video/6c_Tj_hTYg4/видео.html
I definitely agree with it, and don't know how this affects the argument but I see Cartman with a sort of Joker/Batman feeling for Kyle, where he wants Kyle only to himself, needs him alive, because it completes him, gives him someone to constantly rip on and want to see lose.
""Kyman" Stop I'm having war flashbacks to when I used to be in the South Park fandom on Tumblr. Dark times lmao
I feel you. Hahaha
OML ME TOO I AM LITERALLY GETTING FLASHBACKS ON MY CRINGE MIDDLE SCHOOL YRS
To be fair, i feel like a lot of the hate on Tumblr is really exaggerated and unfair...
Okay maybe it’s just me but wasn’t there an episode where it’s found out that Cartman carries a picture of Kyle?
In the imaginationland episodes he does
He was tearing up when Kyle revived, so yeah I guess he does care for him for some weird reason, but since Cartman is basically a chaos god in this cartoon I dont see him ever confessing or having Kyle acept all the abuse just for love
Bullying your crush is something sociopaths do not normal children...
So basically Cartman loves Kyle
Well, if Cartman really does like Kyle, it’s obvious that Kyle doesn’t like him. So-
honestly, the only way i could EVER see them getting together is if cartman guilt tripped the HELL out of kyle, or really serious blackmail
@@popsicIes Yeah like when they are older and Cartman realises what he has done but I dunno it's so complicated🤯
It's completely one-sided
I totally believe it! He doesn’t even realize he’s gay but it’s clearly something he represses it
i don't think it's him repressing it, i think it's just him being a literal 9-10 year old boy who isn't concerned with figuring out his identity just yet
I think a Cartman really does have feelings fo Kyle but he’s trying to suppress it the best he can. Kyle, on the other hand genuinely does hate Cartman and only tolerated him because of Stan and maybe Kenny hang out with him.
I want an episode where they made fun of the enemies to lovers trope and make this ship real for like half an episode so badly
Same! ❤💚
Nice theory it actually scares me how accurate this is, but is anyone gonna talk about how Kenny has been demoted to a background character
This theory actually seems extremely accurate, but even if Cartman is attracted to Kyle, kyman is never gonna be my cup of tea
Thats okay if you dont ship it
Yeah that's ok. Just let people ship it and then it's ok.
what a mood
yea he’s crushing on kyle, but it would be a horribly toxic relationship if they got together.
my thoughts exactly
But think about this
It would be funny as fuck
yeah although i can see the pontential of cartman maybe liking/ having an obsession with kyle i think that really any cartman pairing would be incredibly fuckimg toxic because cartman is a toxic person
Yeah, he couldn’t even treat Heidi right. Imagine what he’d be like with someone who comes from a different background
I think it could work, but they'd need to make a lot of changes... They need to grow and mature more as people and hopefully they can eventually forgive each other. Especially for a certain side (Kyle with Cartman)
Though Kyle had immense trust issues with (mostly) Cartman
A year after this video but... Cartman literally broke quarantine to talk to Kyle about haw worried he was about talking to him again.
No, he went to Kyle because his dad is a lawyer, and he was hoping to use that in order to not go to school lmao. You’re referring to the one-line joke that is made, but he didn’t go over to his house just to say that
Kyle definitely doesn’t like him back though
100% lol
I feel like he does tho, cuz in the episode where cartman got a girlfriend, Kyle seemed a little jealous at first
As a Kyman shipper I feel strongly that Cartman has a thing for Kyle, but I admit if Cartman were to "confess" Kyle would dump him quickly there is to much evidence stacked that Kyle absolutely hates Cartman and lets say it does become a real relationship, well it wouldn't be all sunshine and rainbows 💀
Thank you for reuploading this! Eric is so in love with Kyle lmao
Guess one-sided Kyman might as well be canon then.
If Cartman really hated Kyle, he'd be dead or severly traumatized. Just look at Scott Tenerman (I think thats his name?)
Yeah, if he really did, Kyle's parents would be chilli.
"We must hold eric and kyle with the highest honor"
GAMBAROOO IRASSHAIIIII!!!! 😂😂😂
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great theory that I think Matt and Trey would have fun with, but they didn’t think that far ahead, and all of what cartman does is purely for his sick pleasure. Kyle is his Batman
“I don’t want to kill you, no.
You complete me”
I see so many people shipping people because they know each other Basically and I hate it, but this makes much sence.
Why did this video get blocked? Also I love this video so much.
It's because I used clips from South Park and I got copyright flagged for it! I cut the clips down a lot in this version
Johnny 2 Cellos copyright is kind of dumb. I think everything should be public domain
yeah he does love him, but only because he enjoys messing with him. it’s love but it’s the only love that somebody like cartman can understand. you can see this through how he’ll go to extensive lengths to save kyle, which shows he does care.. but the catch is it’s only because he knows if he loses him he wouldn’t have him to mess with. kyle would never feel the same way.
he forgot the hiv + episode where cartman gave kyle aids and told people that they were in love
Makes sense. He also picks on Wendy too.
He picks on everyone.
I'm glad Wendy beat him to a pulp. He had it coming for sooooo long.
DUDE. I had the same theory just from seeing some stuff from the show I’m watching it completely now (I’m only in season 4) BUT WOW, with this dude, for me, is as good as confirm, if he doesn’t have a crush in Kyle then IDK WHAT it is, it usually annoys me when there are unnecessary love conflicts or stuff like that on series, BUT I CANNOT WAIT for Cartman to realize his crush IT’S GONNA BE A MESS AND I’M SO EXCITED
Oh, and in a side-note I think there’s also prof of this in the game TFBW in the beginning where you have to search for Cartman’s diary in his room and when you find it, there’s some drawings of his classmates doing sexual acts, and it kinda says something that the most prominent character in those drawings is Kyle (there’s also Butters and Craig which I believe Cartman at least have some attraction to them too but not at the same level of his attraction to Kyle)
*quality content, im so glad this was recommended to me*
I've always believed Cartman is gay and is in love with Kyle it just makes so much sense
And also Cartman making his hand J-Lo that has a crush on Kyle, it's already happened with Mr Garrison and Mr Hat/Mr Twig projecting his "gay self"
It’s not healthy to think that someone likes you when they are mean. It can lead to thinking abusive relationships in the future are normal.
Kids should learn that them being picked on isn’t a form of love.
I do think Cartman is gay for Kyle though. 👌
100%
I always thought it was the other way because Kyle is constantly getting involved in cartmans B plots in episodes, whenever cartman is up to something Kyle always has to be there to stop him but you always see other characters like Stan and Kenny telling Kyle to stop coz it won’t change anything yet Kyle always wants to be involved.
But in his case, it's more because of his personality. He is proactive and wants to make things right. It's not about love at all for him.
I think the reason that Eric dated Heidi is because he was in denial of the fact that he was gay for Kyle. or he’s bisexual
Ultimately, he changed her so much that she developed the strength to dum him
Yeah. Honesty makes sense. I can imagine Cartman using hate as a defense mechanism so he won't need to face unrequited love.
Also, in S12E1, Kyle is mad they are referred to as lovers, but Eric is indifferent towards it.
This is crazy accurate
this video is amazing because you're talking about this theory on a level where even those who don't ship kyman(like myself) can see the connection. Big approval
Cartman obviously has an obsession, and Kyle also has his occasional moments for being kind with cartman after thinking he’s genuine. Their dynamic is nice
Best thing I've ever seen. I keep telling people Cartman loves him but no one listens.
Even if it’s true there is no way in hell that it would happen considering how much Kyle absolutely despises Cartman.
Yeah Eric is pretty gay for Kyle, even as a kid I remember watching and thinking "he's only bullying him to hide his feelings" I was what? 10? SO it's pretty obvious. I kinda ship it, just because it's hilarious.
Tbh, I wouldn’t be surprised if this theory is true. In many ways it makes a lot of sense
When did Kyle give up his money to save Cartman? I don't remember that
@@modernrebel9175 He didn't actually get to give the money, but was willing to do it. I believe it was on season 22, episode 4.
I always love hearing about these theories they’re just amazing
I was with you till the last moment where I farted
@@user-fc6tt4rq9g Ahem sorry. Try not to strain yourself.
I mean just because Kyle is a decent human being doesn't mean he's suddenly into antisemitic fat kids.
Nah. I think Kyle is entertained and repulsed by him, and in several episodes, he barely considers Cartman a freind. I think Cartman’s obsessed with Kyle, but Kyle will never reciprocate it
Well, he's definitely obsessed with Kyle. 😆
don't ship Kyman for the same reasons as you, that being the i can't see Kyle reciprocating those feelings.
Its called kyman my friend
Yep! I definitely mentioned this :)
Totally agree I think he does love Kyle and he can be Bi cause of Heidi. I also wonder about Stan as well (after the latest episode).
Tweekscoffeebean ????? what happened in the latest?
What happened in the latest episode?!
There is also the moment in Tweek x Craig where they show Stan looking just as confused and lost as they show Tweek x Craig and Thomas (Craig’s dad) which could imply something about Stan’s sexuality because it turned out Tweek x Craig were actually gay (put it down (Craig calls him babe and honey in private) the fractured but whole (the entire game is a Creek love fest and Craig actually tells the new kid he is gay) most importantly Trey and Matt have confirmed Creek is canon)
So you really need to wonder the significance of that moment when they show all of them staring at the celling in confusion! Like why show Stan at all unless it means something?
It prob will be dropped but it wouldn’t be shocked if somewhere down the line it’s heavily implied that both Stan and Cartman have feelings for Kyle!
@@gilbirdsareawesome Oh yeah, I forgotten about band in china! I agree, there is a possibility that Stan might love Kyle (and I hope that it's true because Style is my OTP after all)
@@thecommie9992 Creek is mine (obviously lol) but I do love style as I love the added best friends angle!
Not to mention the picture he drew in the fractured but whole .
i just need an episode where cartman confirms this and then he can move on and forget abt it lol , like he can tell butters or just a scene of him alone bro. ik that would have jaws on the FLOOR.
this seems so true idk, sure i highly doubt that kyle would EVER exept cartman lol, but cartman liking him subconsciously would explain a HOLE lot!
2:49 can't wait for those people to learn what bisexuals are lol
When shit gets real, Cartman turns to Kyle. The way he shouts his name whenever he calls him in the episode Gluten Free Ebola is relationship goals
literally every piece of "evidence" here was borne out of either personal gain (ex. token/nichole) or for kyle's humiliation, which cartman would very much do anything to accomplish. i do think that cartman is obsessed with kyle, but it's definitely not love imo
I mean the entire crux of my argument is that the humiliation Cartman craves is fueled by a subconscious crush. So yeah, that’s the point
YES!!!! I’ve had this exact theory for a long time! I’m so glad I found a video on it!
There are scenes where Kyle cares about Cartman too! The one that comes to mind for me is in Jewpacabra when Kyle brings Cartman home at the end of the episode and tucks him in bed. They also worked really well together in the ass burgers episode.
Yessz omg this is why i ship it!!
This is exactly what happened with Richie and Eddie
Loved your video! Cartman definitely has some feelings for Kyle, and I think this ship is really cute, actually.
My god. The internet has taken over the world
Dudebros: NOOOOOO! STOP MAKING SOUTH PARK GAY!
Matt and Trey: haha, creek go brrrr.
Very strong theory with Cartman there definitely is a subtle yet open love for Kyle
Yeah there’s definitely something that Cartman feels a strong love for Kyle. Whether it’s him seeing Kyle as a best friend or something more depends on Matt and Trey. But knowing the two it’s someone more.
After watching the post covid exclusive event, Cartman literally goes out of his way to become Jewish and have a family just to mock Kyle .. i wonder if we'll get an insight on why cartman does all this in later episodes but gawdamn eric!
