I made this yesterday and it is amazing! I usually get rashy on the front of my shins and bumps on the back of my thighs after shaving, but this really minimized both. It makes a bunch (filled a pint sized jar with a little left over) so i may cut the recipe in half in the future, or put in smaller jars and give some away as gifts😊
First Congratulations 🎉🎉❣️ for the upcoming package arrival ... Happy Mother's day .... And I am so glad I found you ... This is a beautiful cream .... Will try it out soon
Thank you for your videos and your recipes. They are fun to work with. I wanted to give some feed back on my experience with the aftershave lotion. I made some yesterday and used it this morning after shaving my face. This is what I noticed. My face stayed oily for about 30 minutes and had the scent of Shea butter. I used 100 drops of ceder wood but could not smell it at all. It felt smooth and did sooth my skin. Is there another oil you could recommend to avoid the oily feel to it and another scent that would be stronger than the Shea butter? Thanks.
If you wanted to add Coconut Oil to it as well, how much Coconut Oil would you use? Also how many ounces does your concoction make? The total ounces is important because then I can adjust the ration up or down depending on how many ounces I want to make.
I would recommend going to my website "Bumblebee Apothecary", and search "After Shave Lotion Recipe". In there you will find a "Preserve It" section, and there is a link to the preservative I use there! :)
So I'm new to making body care products and I haven't done research on ingredients like I have done with food. Why don't you use emulsifying wax? Wouldn't it make it easier to mix everything together?
Hey! Great clip! Thanks! Please, can you make a video for a pigmentation? I peeled my skin on my eyebrow a few months ago. The scar had dried up, but there is still a red mark. I do not feel comfortable with that. Please - if you can help with pigmentation problems. Thanks.
Sorry to hear that! I haven't had this happen, but I'm happy to try and help. You could try refrigerating it for a few hours, and see if that helps things thicken up.
What DIY skincare products have you made? What are your favorites?
You're positively glowing. Congrats on the latest baby. 👍

Great video! how do you incorporate water and oil soluble ingredients and they don't separate? Thank you

Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into these recipes and videos. Is this lotion suitable to use on your face?
I haven't used it on the face, but I would think so! Thank you :)

You're welcome! Thanks for sharing :)
Would you mix without the food processor?

This recipe makes 16 fl. oz. You could substitute coconut oil for all or part of the shea butter. Hope that helps!
can this be mixed using a handheld oldstyle blender?
Can this be made with a matt finish?
Hi there! What kind of preservative should I use?
Thanks!!

If you put the whole concoction (approx 10.5 ounces) into a pump bottle what would be the shelf life before it went rancid?
With a preservative, I usually say around 6 months to a year. Hope that helps!

Beeswax is just a lot more natural, so I use it instead when I can. I do have a couple of recipes where I do use emulsifying wax, though :)
Hey!

I will keep this in mind for future videos! Thanks for the idea 😊
Great video
Without emulsifier doesn't it separate?
What's the shelf life of your product and what type of preservative did you use?
My favorite natural preservative is Optophen Plus, and the shelf life is around 6 months at room temp :)
Very pleasant person!
Can we use mango butter or cocoa but instead of shea
Yes!
Could you substitute pecan oil for the olive oil?
Yes, that should work!
I found different layers in my lotion after some hours. What could be the reason for these?
I'm not sure, I haven't had that happen! Maybe stir it to combine again?
What could we replace witch hazel with ?
You could try just water, but it won't have the same cooling/soothing benefits :)
Very awesome
Is it half a cup of aloeveara, half a cup of witch hizel?

My lotion still watery after hours of making the lotion. Is that normal or should I add more shea butter or Beeswax?
