    Oh dear!😅
Funny story now but so sad…
I remember sitting down helplessly at a corner of d airport with 4 children and 20 bags not knowing what next to do with my life😂.. almost everything at home sold..just sent away, no provisions for us made ,not even a new date given.. Just sent away and SOLD OUR TICKETS despite we bought straight from their website many months ago.
Its a very very very terrible experience.
Nne m so sorry a/b this.. everyone has their immigration story, Im glad its ended beautifully 💕

I’m so sorry you went through this, I know how frustrating it can be and have even been in the same exact situation with my 3 small children! I was speechless and confused, not knowing what to do. But pls o hope you filed a complaint? As long as you have the employee names please report them and tell them exactly what happen. They won’t tell you the actions they took on the employee/employees but they will tell you it will be rectified and sometimes they reward you for the inconvenience. I had to do that because my experience was too terrible!

As I was watching your video I went to confirm from my kids visa if their dad's name was on all of the visas since I also relocated with my 3 boys to join my husband in the UK. I just realized my 2nd son does not have his dad's name on his visa but it wasn't an issue at the airport. This man had it for you. So petty!!

God!!!🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I’m so sorry you went through this (especially with kids and after all the arrangements made plus money spent) this is just sad. To be honest Nigerian immigration staff and airport staff are one of the most traumatising people you will ever meet. I don’t know if it’s jealousy or envy, there is just this air of arrogance, like they’re not happy one has to travel or maybe the traveller is the government that has not been paying them regularly. Point is,their attitude stinks inside and out. 😢

They are just jealous, I went through a similar situation at the airport also, imagine asking me to provide my partner’s brp, the details are on my passport, they turned me back, I almost cried. I couldn’t reach my partner cos he was at work (night shift) I had to call my in-law, he drove to my partner’s place of work at 5am to get a picture of the brp, you won’t believe the so called officer was nowhere to be found after I received the picture, I finally checked in without showing anyone the picture, they stressed me.

I think some of these airport and airline staff working in African countries are jealous of people who are relocating or those who travel a lot. Tell them that if you don't have an answer within a specified period you would hand over the case to your lawyer. Please take this as serious. Sorry for your experience its not just in Nigeria I feel like some people at airports in Africa are pained when people are leaving them behind so they try to humble people. But they are not God! I laughed when you were telling some parts. Happy for you and your family

Hello Adaeze, hapoy to have you here in the Uk. Honesty i normal dont comment, i just watched ahd liked. However However i detaste injustice. I hope you send a formal complain to the company. This guy does not deserve to deal with human beings. Dont understand why people take their frustration on others. They should understand who their problem is. Feeling so angry regarding this situation. I just hope you dont let this slid and the company should compensate you and your family for the unnecessary stress. Nonsense 😢 until we change our attitudes towards each other our problem will continue. To be honest the government is not our only problem. Really very angry with this whole situation. Thank God you guys got here safely.

This reminds me of a similar occurrence when I relocated temporarily with my kids to the USA in 2015. There was an issue with the sponsor's name on my kids' Visas. Luckily the immigration guys were able to get through to the US embassy to confirm the authenticity of the Visa and further took responsibility for the so-called mistake. We were eventually allowed to fly that night after a little back and forth with the officer. Trust me it was not a palatable experience.

@@lifewithzoe9468 I guess it was a little administrative omission by the embassy which ought to be waived at the airport, unfortunately, some overzealous officers escalated the situation unnecessarily.

Temporarily relocate? Do people temporarily relocate? And in which circumstances do this happen.

I had to pause this video the minute you mentioned Qatar airways in Nigeria. Those guys are horrible. 1 year ago I bought a flexible ticket for my trip to Melbourne and arrived at the airport 30mins after the check in had closed. The flexible ticket meant I could cancel or change my date anytime without any fees. These people refused to check me in for my flight and that was how I kissed $2000AUD goodbye. I had to buy another seat for the next day that turned out to be a nightmare. It is also wild that you will go through security with scanning and you will still have people searching you at Qatar airways Nigerian boarding gate in lagos. One of their airport staff in Nigeria was telling me that she doesn't like how I had goldenmorn in my hand luggage ,she informed me that I should have checked it in my box. Anyway with Turkish airlines flying from Melbourne, we will now have more options other than Qatar.

Prior to getting my UK passport, the level of respect I give even the cleaners at the airport is peak. I find immigration and airport matters too sensitive to be arguing with anyone.
