(I'm a lifelong Texan so I know how wildly people can be on opposite ends of the sociopolitical spectrum around here!) Seeing this reaction as I scrolled through your videos made me happy. What you said after the reaction made me even happier. It's always so wonderful to find a friendly soul. 💜 I'm on antidepressants and anxiety meds, too. My younger sister is as well, and she's been in therapy for the last 2+ years and thriving now. I hope you have (or are having) just as successful of a journey for yourself. If you haven't seen The Perks of Being A Wallflower I would strongly recommend it. Such a strong story about mental health and how to support people that are struggling with their own mental health issues.
In the book , he basically has a crush on Cal (the stage manager) the whole time and thinks it's him. He never suspects Bram, but Bram has a crush on Simon the whole time and is hoping it's him
The 3 movies you should react to is 1) tlc releasing latterdays its a real tear jerker 2) soldiers girl it takes place on 2 real people back in 1999 3) red white and royale blue its the highest streaming movie on paramount plus so far
There is a series based on love Simon, it’s called love victor, it’s about a Hispanic family, and Simon help him tru season 1 and 2 but there 3 seasons. The series it’s good

Oh my goodness you posted this the same day I went to Greensboro Pride. Alright so now that I’ve had a chance to watch your full reaction here. Let’s just start by saying it is literally impossible to keep from crying watching this film. It is so heavy and powerful. When I watched it for the first time there were several experiences Simon went through that I could relate to. But in any case I liked it enough to go out and buy my own copy because this is a very important film.

A fantastic reaction and an even more lovely epilogue. You totally got it, Mum & immersed yourself in Simon’s POV and that’s entirely what this movie is about. It’s very well done written, directed & cast in many super relatable, and thankfully supportive, ways to counter the (pretty mild, compared to IRL) missteps of ignorance & meanness that are confronted. The support of his family was big, but even more so, the tribe fell apart & came back together… Those car rides & “friends becoming your chosen family” really resonated with me as a HS student in the early 90s. Like most people of my vintage coming out happened much later in life, we were just called ‘wallflowers.’ In this current age of intensified bullying (physically, mentally & emotionally), polarizing political divisiveness, and outright maliciousness happening far too often to anybody different/full of color - reactions like yours allow me to exhale a little bit and carry on knowing that this is published & out there for anybody struggling in anyway to get a shot in the arm/uplift. I liked your reaction to Love, Simon! There is a TV show that is not listed or commented on here , that I think you and your audience would appreciate. It's a British TV show based on a graphic novel. The name of it is Heartstopper and it streams on RUclips. The original author of the graphic novel was very involved in helping to translate her story to TV. When the first season came out on Netflix, it was so well-received that Netflix greenlighted seasons 2 and 3. Seasons 1 and 2 are up and streamable (Season 3 will come out sometime in 2024) The seasons have 8 episodes each and the episodes are about 30 minutes long. They create an ongoing story, with good continuity. Don't want to give too many spoilers, so I'll just say that it's about 2 British high school boys who become close friends, then develop a romantic relationship. The boys are 15 and 16. The actors playing the boys were 17 when they filmed season 1 and 18 when they filmed season 2. Most of the kid actors were close to the ages of their characters -- no 30-year-olds pretending to be 15 -- something I appreciated. Some of the people reacting to the show use words like 'wholesome' and 'heartwarming" to talk about it. It's considered to be family-friendly for ages 13 and up. One of the actors, Kit Connor (who had played young Elton John in the movie Rocketman), said that teens were writing to him saying that they used the show to help them come out to their parents (They watched scenes from the show with their parents and that made coming out easier) Older members of the LGBTQIA+ community have said they wished they had had a show like this when they were teens; it would have made their lives back then a lot better. Anyway, I think you might appreciate doing a reaction of the show.
